Snow whirles around Godwein's legs as he sits down from his sturdy horse he lent from a farmer in Ildon.

"Winter times..." Godwein mumbles, and leaves the horse to the hands of an Ulfhaedyn stable boy. "...I really wonder what Aedric wants from me... his letter was... keeping something back..." Godwein continues mumbling and thinking as he steps up the frozen stairs to the Keep of Holmstrom. As he approaches the top, the gates open... He has been awaited.

Leaving a wet trail of snow and water behind, Godwein steps into the warm throne room of Holmstrom. A fire is burning at a nearby fireplace. The light is rather dimmed, as it turns dark outside, evening calls.

And there he sits, Aedric Ulfhaedyn, in pelt and furs, sitting on the throne. Next to him on a chair sits someone who looks strangely familiar to Godwein, reminding him of his uncle Hanethor a lot. Aedric's sister, which Godwein has seen once before, leaves quickly the room. Godwein doesn't hesitate for long, lays his pelt and fur coat on a nearby chair and sits down in front of Aedric, briefly looking to the strange man to his side.

After a long moment of silence, only the fire cracking silently, he speaks up: "Aedric, you have called me here... so, how may I help you?"

[[ On a personal note, is House Stafyr in any way pledged to the Ulfhaedyns? Feel free to just PM me.

I can even explain why I'm asking. Just shoot me a response.]]

Wind cracks the banners as Aedric slumps on his throne of carved oak. Aedric idly runs his index finger along the head of a worn bears head on his armrest. Aedric ordered some of his more artistic able thralls to carve him a throne made up of all the house's sigils. On the right, was a bear, of House Elendil, on the right, a dire wolf, of House Tarus. Intricate carvings of Roses, Dogs, Suns, Crowns, all account for the backing in which he rested upon. Aedric eyes deep into the crackling fire before him. A gust of wind and low, quiet murmurs, and footsteps of leather on stone bestir him to look up.

"Godwein. You 'ave heeded my call..."

You looks to the man sitting beside him, and then to his sister who rushed out of the room.

"We 'ave words. Words you may not like, Stafyr..."

The man sitting next to Aedric stares down in the ground he is breathing heavily as he does not know how Godwein will react..

Will Godwein be glad by the news? Or will he be upset, mad or furious? These thoughts is racing through his minds and his attention does not turn untill Godwein himself enters the room.

The man calms himself and gets control of his heavy breathing, he had been in battles, he had been lost and alone in the wild, he has had many injures, but he had never been as nervous as he was now.

He quickly looks at Aedrics sister as she rushes out of the room and then turns his attention towards Godwein, the man he has heard so much about, the Lord of house Stafyr.

His mind is heavy and filled with thoughts, he feels trapped as the men starts speaking but he will not move, this is his responsibility and he tells himself that he have done right by following his heart, but will Godwein feel the same.

Godwein squints his eyes on the words of Aedric, the mushroom tissue on his face pulsating slightly, shimmering blue in the light of the torches and fires in the room.

"Words, which shall not strike my liking? Those would be new to me, I must admit in this very case. So speak up then, Aedric, do not hesitate." Godwein leans back in his chair, preparing for unexpected and maybe bad news.

Stumbles into the throne room not to long after his father spoke those words.

He nods to the men inside the room and sits down on a chair across the room..

"Good day, all of you.. i hope i'm not interrupting something, Father.. Aedric.."

Aedric eyes cast down towards the fire once more, avoiding Stafyrs gaze. He speaks in a low voice, with a hint of shame weaved into his words.

"My damnable sister.. and /your/ damnable relative decided they go off an' marry each other and **** each other like field mice. Neutrality is what you want. Neutrality is a luxury you will have no more. You're cast in with our lot now. No escape it seems..."

Aedric spits a hollow laugh, no harm intended.

Godwein's view moves from Aedric to the unknown man next to him. Silently and slowly he asks.

"What be your name, good man?"

The man takes a short breath before responding to Godwein. "I am Edmund, Edmund Stafyr, descendant of Hanethor. My father is the great grandson of Perceus Stafyr"
