Feedback And Suggestions For The Next Island

This is an idea ive been having for a while now. What i'd like to see is the races board their boats and follow after the Lyistrata villagers once more. After getting everyone onto the boats they will sail for 2hours until they reach the "new island".

GBCWS.png

Now when the races reach the new island they will each have their own island to live on. They will dock, gain resources, build up a town, gather other items. To spice up their RP at their new islands there will be an independent island inbetween the race islands of which will be open for claiming. When I mean open for claiming I mean the nations fighting against each other to claim the island, or even bandits, guilds or groups capturing the island themself. The middle island will have more more resources, wood, ore and animals. After a good 5 - 10 days on this island area the ships will move on to chase the Lyistrata villagers once more.

RdPik.png

Then the ships will be out on sea for 6 days, giving the nations enough to time to have a few sea battles, where they can board the other ships and loot 25% of each chest, jump into their rowing boats and go to their ships. The reason I thought it would be nice to have sea battles is that the nations would probably of grown a hostile relationship over the middle island or (example - the humans didn't get enough resources from the middle island, and have little to none so they board the orc ship, slaughter some orcs and steal 25% of each of their chests, get into their rowing boats and go back to their own.) After sailing for 2 - 3 days they will come across -

Wvbk1.png

A large group of pirates attacking the race ships, trying to plunder and loot the ships. These pirates will be played by Event Team and will be attacking roughly 2 times a day for 2 - 3 days. If a ship is badly damaged then they will have to use their resources to fix their ship otherwise it will sink, giving some sort of danger factor that their ship might drown (example - the elven boat has a large hole at the side of their ship and they have no wood, then they will have to go on their rowing boats and attack lets say the humans, to loot their chests and get the necessary wood for repairs or they could try solve it through peaceful relations.) I'm sure attacking other ships or trying to solve it through diplomacy would bring another good peice of RP for the players. After 3 - 5 days they will be placed out in sea once more -

V9kvs.png

The nations will be out in sea once more, but will be attacked by some sort of sea creature, a kraken monster inspired. The monster will go back under the water after taking a lot of damage and attack a good 7 - 8 times a day until it is finally slain. After slaying the monster they will sail onwards onto the island that is 3.0

Suggestions are welcome, and this is what I have been thinking that would be really cool.

Yes. Start convincing the GMs, admins, other event team members and much more. Right now. Go. Do it.

Bury a couple of treasure chests (maybe leave some clues somewhere?)

Would make for some very interesting RP!

Personally, i'd like to see the villagers ships re-appearing on the horizon on the north side of the island one day.. then we will all flee south to the ships. Possibly one of the ships is destroyed and the residents have to relocate to another one of the ships then we make our escape?

The problem I am faced with as a nation leader is that I simply would not subject my people to this dreadful island as long as we have. Not only is everyone so crammed together that we can barely breathe, but the island is a nightmare of strange creatures and natural disasters. Any sane leader would have said "Hey, I think we can do better." and packed their bags. I know it would be a huge pain to continue to island hop, but to me it only makes the most sense to be doing in RP. Maybe we could set it up like Goldilocks and the Three Bears, in that we keep hopping islands but there is always something not quite right so we just move on until we find that one perfect location. Those are just my thoughts.

The reason why the races stopped at this island was because this was all they could find and they were running out of resources. The RP reason why the races are staying on this island is to gather resources so that they can head off again.

I'm not sure exactly what you mean. We haven't reached the villagers yet and the island we're on now is just a stop on the way to our new home. It's too small of an island for the Four Races to live together on it for any extended period of time. Resources are also scarce. RPly, it just isn't suited for permanent residence.

People have built large cities and estates in 2.5, even if they weren't really supposed to. It's minecraft, however, and building is something players will always do.

Basically that's what I was saying. RPly we are building like we acting like we plan to stay there, when that isn't the case

Yes and I understand that, but it doesn't take years to gather resources. We have RPly been on this island for years now and are at a point where we have all established our civilizations and so-on. We are well past gather resources. I think it's time to move on.

That sounds ... really awesome. It would be like a solid week of nothing but RP.

Unregioned map, it gives more freedom and fun rp in my opinion, way better.

I think this would be pretty fun, but what about when every player on the server has their own mansion in the wilds after only a couple days? If people could refrain from doing this, I'd support the idea. Problem is, I don't think they can.

In the temp map it's certain groups that build things in the wilds, and if nations dont like it they could ask for tribute or taxes and if they don't pay, get rid of it.

That could work, I suppose, but I feel like a lot of people would make an OOC issue out of it.

THis is just me but I think that we shouldn't even try for another island. Why not just use all the builders for the 3.0 map, so we can transition faster?

Agreed, us builders have more work to do, and 3.0 is our main priority, not another island.

I don't know about you guys but... I love war! I love having PvP wars! It makes me feel like Im in Lord of the Rings! Even though this would never happen.. I think it would be sweet to have like a world war. One giant war. 2 races vs the other 2. There would be TONS of RP, like preparing for the war, working together, gathering resources, organizing, having leaders, squads, ect. And the war could go on for a little while.. sending in troops.... capturing areas... building war bases.... planning attacks.... having meetings on strategies... there would be so much RP! Give me some feedback people! What do you guys think?!

Another thing! For all you people who don't like PvP.. or wars.. you could send supplies to your troops! Gather resources to help fight the war!
