Two Epic Ideas

Hello again everyone. I am back to the forums for writing up a lot of my insane ideas. I know some of you may be wondering where I was and why I didn't get this post done sooner like I said I would, but I have been busy with my exams these past few weeks. Now that all of that is done and out of the way, I am back here to share with you the important information that has been brewing in my head.

 

First off, this post isn't just going to be about the Lord of The Craft video series, it's also going to be about another idea I thought of the other day, but I will get to that later in this post.

 

 

FIRST PART

 

The first season, of hopefully many, of the Lord of The Craft video series will be done as follows:
 

1. Recruit then organize members of the community into teams/crews.
2. Begin brainstorming, with other creative writers, story worthy ideas and history from Aegis that will work well in the series.
3. Figure out the main plot and which characters the story will revolve around.
4. Test and install mods that will help with filming and realism.
5. Assign builders to reconstruct areas of Aegis to their form as they were in that year. An example being that some buildings didn't exist at certain points in the timeline, and cities weren't as well developed (Perhaps build just sets, so nothing unecessary is in the background.)
6. Begin voice acting tryouts to assign people to certain characters.
7. Develop skins for characters, possibly HD/x2 Res skins.
8. Begin filming the scenes in Minecraft, then use some images for the intro, and also make the end credits, including all the minecraft usernames of those involved.
9. Record voices and combine them with the video, as well as sound effects.
10. .....
11. Profit

 

 

Alright, so that is the basic order of how I want to do this process, but keep in mind that some of these things may be going on at the same time, so it won't take as long as some might think. Other steps may be added in order to help clarify and develop this idea. Just suggest additions to this list in a post below, or PM if you wish.

I will be checking on this post quite often, and when I do, I will add your username to a list that will be added to this post. Very simple, yet effective. The first thing I want to start working on however is the writing of the script and sceneplay, so I will need a few good writers, who also have been a part of this server since Aegis, and also remember what happened.

 

SECOND PART

 

Now for the second, smaller part of this post. I have realized that many players on the server never got to be a part of Aegis, and so I was thinking that as a side project, we could create a custom adventure map based in Aegis. It would all be based around the video series, which is based on the real Aegis we all knew and loved. This idea is just in the basics at the moment, but if I see enough support behind it, then just like my idea for the video series, we can make it a reality eventually.

From the point of view of someone who never played on Aegis, this still seems like a bit of an, "Oh, this set of people were/are special and can be included" type of thing, even with the second idea. It's sort of a turn off for me, and makes me not want to be involved in what might be a really cool project.

 

Not trying to offend, just offering a perspective that might want to be considered.

Just going along with what Jchizz said, this also might be a tad easier (if not more relevant) if we are to do it in 3.0 with the upcoming antagonists! We would already have the landscape set out for us, and it might be more relatable for newcomers/current players. 

 

But then again, if Aegis is your plan, I'll support you all the way!

That is a good idea, but I do feel it would be better to do them in a chronological order, so that way, 3.0 will also have time to develop. What we could do is make copies of the map at certain points, then when/if we film a season of 3.0, we won't have to do anywhere near as much building.

Available Times: I have just finished my exams, therefore I believe I can be on from 4:00-7:00 (EST). I have to take care of social matters every now and then (girlfriend and friends, you know the deal) but on weekends, if need be I can 9 times out of 10 clear up my schedule..
Do you know the history of Aegis?: Yes, I haven't been here in Aegis, but I still believe I have quite a bit of knowledge of the white wizard and all that jazz.
Position Requested (May be more than one): If it isn't too much trouble, I would like to go for voice acting or perhaps making skins.
Skills for Position: I have been in Dramatic Arts for 2 years at my school, studying it as well as doing plays. So far, I have done 4 major productions and received some very good reviews. (Around 150-200 people showed each day we performed). Having said that, I am not too sure about skins since I have not worked too much on skins that are HD. I have made multiple skins, only for my friends though (Watyll, ventus2, Geoboy66, Abysmall, MikeyBree and others I cannot recall at the moment).
