In-Character Information:
Complete the following biography on your character:

Full Name: Vectis Vekon.

Current Age: Eighteen years old.

Sub-race (if any): None.

Past / History (include childhood, major-events, etc. 2+ paragraphs long):

Born in Ager, Vectis was raised the son of a shepherd. ( He is not Rolf from Ed, Edd, and Eddy ) When he was very young, Vectis would run around his family's farm, chasing chickens or foxes or sheep. One day, though, his father tragically found he had fallen and hit his head on a rock. Taking him home, his mother and father prayed to their god to save him. For several weeks, his fate was uncertain, having developed a terrible fever. However, on the third day of the third week, he awoke and the fever had vanished. His mother, a rather godly woman, said it was a miracle and that god had granted her son life.

Over time, the boy grew, returning to running around the farm, though never out of his mother's sight! His parents each took active roles in his life, as well. When Vectis's father wasn't tending the herd, he was teaching his son swordplay or how to read and write, being a veteran man-at-arms of the Oren Lances. Vectis enjoyed these lessons and when he was idle, he could often be found with either his father's sword or a book in hand. When he grew old enough to look after the herd himself, he would often forsake the staff and bring the blade to the field and sharpen it. Sometimes he even hoped a wolf might stray towards his flock so he could strike it down. His mother, meanwhile, would lecture her son in lessons of the true faith and tell Vectis stories be it mid-afternoon or just before bed.

Vectis's youth was relatively void of social activity. His farm, in relation to others', was out of walking distance. Whenever he did go in to town with his mother or father, other kids strayed from "the smelly sheep-herder". As he and the other kids grew up, he gained a few friends; even a girlfriend, for a time. The others became more tolerant of him and he'd go out cow-tipping or causing other sorts of teenage-related mischief with his friends when he could.

Following the advice of his mother to, 'find his own way', Vectis bid farewell to his parents hen he came of age. His father proudly bestowed upon his son the heirloom of his sword and with it, the young man set out onto the road to do exactly what his mother told him. He traveled around Asulon for some time until a great storm begin to take the land. Before departing the continent, he searched all over for his parents but Vectis was unable to find them. They are assumed to be dead. Eventually, he found his way to Anthos.

Ambitions for the Future: Vectis is young and naive and often dreams about enlisting in the Oren Lances or becoming a great scholar.

Personality: Vectis is friendly if not racist; wise if not ignorant, and strong if not afraid.

Skills: He is literate, well skilled with a sword for his age, and damn fine at herding sheep.

Appearance (this must include an in-game screenshot of your skin): Vectis has medium-length blonde hair and cerulean-blue eyes. He stands tall at five feet and eleven inches tall. He is neither muscular nor weak, nor skinny or fat. Vectis speaks in an eloquent tenor voice, rather surprising for the son of a shepherd.

Any other details you wish to share about your character: No.

Open-Response-Questions
Each question in this section must be answered with a minimum of one paragraph which must describe the event in full. Please be as descriptive as possible and do not break character or lore at any point.
____

1. Whilst in the mighty human capital you notice a dark-clothed figure stealthily making his way towards the Emperor’s palace - he is clearly up to no good. There are guards within shouting distance - what do you do?

Answer:

Vectis was admiring the sights and sounds of the capital as he turned his attention towards the Emperor's palace. As his gaze fell upon the great structure, his eyes widened in wonder, but it was abruptly halted by the sight of a malicious-looking character making their way towards it.

Instinctively, the boy's hand reaches for the hilt of his blade. Narrowing his eyes, Vectis steps forward to apprehend the villain himself but feels a tinge of fear, bringing him back to reality. Being quick, he looks around for guards.
"There has to be guards around here, it's the capital!" Vectis thinks to himself.

Spotting a duo from the Imperial Dragon Guard, Vectis cries out, "guards! Assassin!"

Vectis succeeds in catching the eyes of the Dragon Guard. Drawing his own blade, Vectis lurches forward, brutally pushing the dark figure to the ground, blade at their back. Having handled the situation, the Dragon Guard knights applaud the young man.

"That was some quick thinkin', lad," one remarks.

"Aye, if you ever want to put that sword to real use, stop by our barracks."

A grin curls on Vectis' lips and he hastily nods. The knights cuff the criminal, hoist him up, and haul him off to the dungeons, but not before slipping the boy a few Minas for a job well done.

2. Whilst wandering in the deep oak forest you come across a large clearing, in which sits a small cobbled cottage. Outside it stands an unstable old man armed with a small iron blade, surrounded by two heavily armed bandits - they appear to be threatening him. You are armed with leather armour and an iron longsword, how do you react?

Answer:

Upon stepping into the clearing and observing the situation, Vectis, in all his do-good attitude, steps forward fearlessly. It was a classic case of criminal debauchery, and beating up scum like these bandits was what Vectis always dreamed about. Placing a hand threateningly on the hilt of his sheathed blade, the young man cries out, "stop, villains, or be cleaved in twain!"

The two bandits turn away from their victim for a moment and break into laughter at the boy. This only further sates the yearn for justice in Vectis's mind. The apparently head bandit pushes the other forward to deal with Vectis.

"Alright, kid, just move along and I won't have to-" he says, interrupted as Vectis sweeps his sword from it's scabbard with professional skill, instantly beheading the criminal. A chill runs up the boy's spine as he realizes what he's done, and adrenaline kicks in.

The head bandit turns around at the sound of his comrade's body collapsing. He yells something at Vectis, but he can't hear it, everything's so hazy as the adrenaline rushes through his bloodstream. The old man suddenly lunges forward with his blade, burying it in the back of the bandit, just barely piercing it.

The old man rushes over. This time, Vectis can make out the words, "you okay, kid?"

He bobs his head as he gets a grip, "yeah, I'm fine. You-... you take care."

The farmer stares on in astonishment as Vectis continues on through the wood.

3. You are standing within the mighty human capital when you notice a small man standing behind a colourful stall. You approach the stall and notice that the man is selling a variety of general goods - he says that he is selling just about anything and that he has no set prices. He is willing to allow you to haggle and choose prices. What do you do? (Explain: your haggling, items of choice and the discussion that happens).

Answer:

Happy with himself for his part in apprehending the criminal back at the Emperor's Palace, Vectis eagerly approaches a stall in the marketplace, looking for something to reward himself with. Laying his eyes on one of the small man's wares, Vectis quickly catches sight of a set of iron armor.

"Awhh, that'd be perfect!" he thought aloud.

"Fancy yourself a warrior, young man?" the merchant asks, arching a brow and grinning as Vectis takes an interest in the particularly expensive item.

"Well-... sort of," Vectis responds with a bit of doubt in himself.

"Every great warrior has a suit of armor, my boy! Tell me-... what would YOU like to buy this piece for?"

Vectis' eyes widened. He could choose the price! Biting his bottom lip, he thought for a moment. He didn't want to choose a price so low as to insult the vendor, nor did he have the Minas to pay full price. Best start low, though, if there's to be haggling.

"Four-hundred and ninety Minas?"

The merchant chuckled, giving a shake of his head, "how about five-hundred and forty?"

Vectis snapped back quickly with a smile, enjoying the little game, "Five-hundred and twenty! And I'll add three cuts of wool I brought from home!"

The small merchant gave an approving nod before responding, "you have a deal, my boy."

And so Vectis set off back to where he was staying to collect the wool. He'd do so and properly pay the merchant later once he'd returned before proudly wearing the armor around the city.
