A new book is released from the Dwarven lands of the south. The book is written in orange ink and is very clear an legible for all of the common races to read.

"The Clans & the Powder Keg"

From the writing of Hiebe Irongut

Year 8 of Anthos

In the recent happening of the Kingdom I have found solitude life to be easier on me and my health. Stress from being a Lord of the Kingdom and leading my family clan took its tole and so I left. In these times I have dedicated to keep the histories of Anthos and of the Dwarves.

Chapter 1

Clans

Ironguts

-The Irongut clan in Anthos has lost much of is pasted power. I am no more King and my clansmen are now fewer then before. We still come together when needed and Kilgrim leads them and I help him when I can. We cannot outmatch the other clans so we decide to stay within the Blacklight Hold, away from tensions.

Grandaxes

-The Grandaxes have kept most of their power. From one Grandaxe lord stepping down another is replaced with it. They have mysteriously gotten a fairly large clan hall that seems to have been built very quickly. Their leaders are shrew and will convince those around them that they are right in all sense. I have no quarrel with them only a few that I will never trust again. I advise others to watch themselves around this diplomatic clan and their ear whisperings.

Stormhammers

-The Stormhammers are an odd bunch. They gather together in a brotherhood from all types of dwavres no matter them being cave or mountain. Their leader is very warlike and charismatic in the way he leads. They have also gain power from the days on the island and now in Anthos. They are building their strength for when the time comes for the Stormhammer clan to rule.

Frostbeards

-From the mountains these dwarves now live underground and have the most wealth of the Kingdom. They too have gain much power from Anthos's bounty and gladly flaunt it around. They lead and control the King's Guard so I can only expect the best when King Omithiel is still around but when he dies, there is another matter. Karl Frostbeard comes back after a long trip amd becomes a Lord the next day.

Goldhands

-Like the Ironguts, this clan has lost much of its power due to the travels and changes of Anthos. They have gathered together and live out their days in their clan hall but no other hears much of them. This clan is one of the few that can die out within the decade.

Starbreakers

-This small clan has kept most of its members together and have stayed out of the clan struggles. They fly under the veiw of others but I know their true purpose, for those who control the smithy, control the arms of the Kingdom. From them will come the weapons and armor that will fuel a clan war.

Chapter 2

The Rising of Three Powers

Three clans control the political side of the dwarven kingdom. Frostbeards, Stormhammers, and Grandaxe all have at least one or two members on the Lord Council and two of the clans cannot stand each other. Stormhammers and Frostbeards will fight in with arms to control what is left of the Kingdom after King Omithiel (Gods protect his soul) dies or steps down from the Throne. After King Omithiel does the Mountains Dwarves will control who will be the next King. Grandaxes will wait to see what happens but the Frostbeards and Stormhammers will duke it out. Whoever wins the first of the battles will get the help of the shrewd Grandaxes and their warriors.

The caves dwarves will be left to decide who they will pick to win. Ironguts I see will not pick a side and stay in their Hold due to the fact that three of their clansmen have been King already and they do not wish to see it again. Starbreakers will also wait and see who to support in the wars but will sell arms and armor to the highest bidder. Goldhands will not have much say unless they come out of their clan hall.

This being all said can be affect from outside factors. The Jarls can pick and choose which clan to support or even rebel and establish their own Kingdom. The alliance with Oren will be the big factor but I already see with the diplomacy skills of the Grandaxes they will convince the humans to side with them.

The powder is set and all the need to light it is a assassination attempt or a rebellion. But will come before that will destroy us all, King Omithiel either dieing or stepping down.

-May the Paragons watch over us and our doings as we can decide the fate of our clans and Kingdom with simple actions-

(additions will be added. This is to help me coupe with my ban and keep me focused and a bit of fun to overhear whats happening in-game)

Gorum nods to himself as he heads off to the palace to finish his readings.

Finki reads the section describing the Goldhands and gasps in a passion of anger.

These Irongut Badstards!

Finki then cools down a bit and chuckles.

And not to mention cowards! They are willing to sacrifice their own clan into grovelling submission to the Frostbeards and Stormhammers! *chuckles* Well! What else can you expect from the Ironguts, steeped in the proud tradition of being drunk almost all the time without a single thought or even feeling to guide them!

Finki then frowns, as he thinks over the nature of the Goldhands.

This book misrepresents the Goldhand Family in almost every conceivable way possible! By Tungdil, this poor and entirely inaccurate description can be read as an insult! *strokes his beard in thought* The Goldhand Clan is by no means a clan that chooses to hide itself in some deep, dark hall. *chuckles* No! That is strictly a Frostbeard tradition! Just ask Moruk, or perhaps his ancestors who fought a bloody civil war without anybody outside the city of Jornheim knowing about it. No...the Goldhand Clan is perhaps the most socially aggressive and outgoing clan of all! *chuckles* Why, we are a clan of merchants! Open-minded and driven by the pursuit of greed!

Finki takes a moment to pause and smiles.

Mark my words, and swear upon my beard and the great golden-braided beard of Tungdil, the Goldhand Clan will rise again! It will rise back into its rightful position of wealth and power, for we are not cowards! *chuckles* We do not give up on our clan and its traditions, not like the Ironguts! ...The Goldhand's will reclaim their rightful glory...*smiles menacingly* At whatever cost!

Kardel reads through the book, and grits his teeth.

"Su, 'Iebe 'as foinalleh defoied os. . .dat basterd 'as s'amed eur clan. . ."

Kardel throws the book down on the ground outside of Blacklight Apothecarium and spits on it.

"Feck ye, ye ol' dis'onarable basterd! Me an' Kilgrim an' Dun an' all da udders will make dis clan greater den ye evah wis'ed er dreamed uv makin' et!"

Kardel stuffs his chubby, pale, wrinkly hand into his satchel and retrieves a bottle made of thin glass, full with swirling red liquid, and throws it on book. The bottle breaks, releasing flames that engulf  the book, and burn them down to ashes in a matter of minutes. Kardel then frowns, as he makes his way back into the hold, angry at Hiebe, wishing him curses.

Thrym gives Kardel a hard look and walks up, talking quietly to him.

"Watch yer tongue lad! If ye 'ave an issue wit' da words 'iebe 'as written bring it up wit' Kilgrim er wit' 'iebe 'imself! Speakin' ill ov 'im in public shows nothin' but disunity in our clan an' is a dis'onorable ting ta do. 'iebe led da clan well fer many years an' remains an elder wit'in it. If ye wish ta make our clan great do not let ot'ers see us disrespectin' our own elders."

After a long moment of thinking, Kardel sighs, and turns to Thrym

"Ye roit lad, et nae be 'Iebe's fault dat da clan nae be guud. . .ah cannae blame 'im. Dis be true. . .an dere be little dat we can du roit nou"

Kardel turns away, making his way into the Hold.

Bael chases after Kardel.

"It benae 'iebe's fault. 'e had led teh clan fer maneh years an' 'is partin' wit' teh ways uv politics 'ave been 'ard un us all. Maneh uv our kin didnae survive teh floight from Asulun, an' dis new generation uv dworfs scares meh. T'ey care littul fer our culture an' onleh live tu spill bluud. Teh toime uv teh cave dworf ended long ago, the Blood Age, as foightful as 'et was, was teh last toime teh cave dworfs held truu control ovah teh kingdom - the toime of teh mountain dworf begun w'en Kal'Urguan fell an' now, 'undreds uv years an' a dozen kings later, teh cave dworfs are foinally teh minoriteh - weh no longah 'old aneh true powah an' teh bluudhounds uv teh mountains will lead owr people intu a war teh loike w'ich 'avenae been seen since teh Ironborn were disposed uv.

'iebe speeks teh truuth. T'is be teh weekest teh Irongut 'ave been in a 'undred years. A clan which 'asnae been in truu existence fer longah den a handful uv seasons already 'olds more powah, numbahs and strength den us. 'e 'asnae defoided 'is own clan - a clan 'e 'imself forged. An dunae curse 'im, pray tu teh God's dat 'e may heel an' retake teh reigns su teh cave dworf is returned tu 'et gloreh."
