The winds swept across the lands of the north as Karac trudged through the snow. He wore multiple layers of furs, but still the cold struck deep to his bones. The bitterness of the air hurt but the journey through the unforgiving north had strengthened Karac, and now it seemed that he just grew more firm as the coldness thickened.

 

Hints of speckled light appeared out of the misty distance as Karac approached civilization. He felt his heart beat faster and his core grow warmer with every step. He was returning to brothers and sisters, and he was ready. Ready for what? He did not know for sure. Maybe to fight, maybe to council, or maybe...

Thorenir Elendil the Second frowns at the figure emerging over the hill leading to the Ranger land. He places his book down on the table and sits up in his seat, watching it intently. As it gets close, Thorenir can make out the figure's dark black hair, lifeless grey eyes and Northern build. As the figure finally draws in close enough, Thorenir recognises his great nephew and stands from his seat, looking at the boy as if he's seen a ghost.

Starke McHaryn, Elder of the McHaryn clan and Grey Shirt commander had just finished a sparring session with his brethren of the cloth when he too looked up and noticed a figure approaching. Looking closely Starke perceives literally no familiar features or attributes this man has. Starke obviously hasn't seen or heard of this man, thinking him another one of Caln's ever present Rangers, Starke turns back to his men and calls it day, the figure completely lost from his mind.
