OOC Information

MC Name: TheEpicFiend

Have you read and fully understood Kharajyr lore?:  Yep!

Have you read and fully understood the Kharajyr application rules?: Mhmm.

Do you understand and accept that the Kharajyr application team may revoke this application in the future if they deem it necessary?: I do.

Do you agree to both follow and uphold Kharajyr lore throughout your time in the Kharajyr?: Yessir.

Tell us one unique fact about Kharajyr lore, culture or history that you know.(We will check for plagiarism!): I found the weapons particularly interesting, especially the trident. It seems like a really unique and interesting weapon to get to use.

IC Information

RP Name (This includes your character’s prefix): Sa'shela

Character Sub-race: Kha'Panthera

Character appearance (Including age and gender): Shela is female. When I begin playing her she'll be a newborn.

She'll be dark brown with light spots like her father Dato, with her mother's yellow eyes and a fluffy coat.

What is the personality of your character like?: As I said I'm starting her from very early, but it's very likely and in fact almost planned out that she'll be taking after her parents. She'll be calm and generally friendly towards the other races, but should she become flustered by someone she'll bop them on the head and then hiss at them.

Brief Biography of this character’s life thus far (taking into account the rules against creating a character born outside of the empire): Shela will be born into the litter of Vafee and Dato. One of her brothers, S'lorr, who looks almost exactly like her will be considered her twin. They will all most definitely be indoctrinated into the culture of the Kharajyr, being raised within the empire. From there I'd like to let it happen in rp, and see what happens rather than roleplaying things out. c:

Character’s ambitions within the Kharajyr: We've made plans as to what they'll enjoy doing; her twin brother (S'lorr, if I'm correct) will be a blacksmith, and Sa'shela will be a jewelery maker. They'll run a shop together selling weapons, armor, jewelery, and interesting combinations of all of the above.

Character’s strengths/weaknesses: I envision Shela as being very curious, with a love of all things shiny. As a kitten she'll do a good job of getting herself into trouble.

She'd be the sort of person/Kha who's good with her hands, but not necessarily the strongest around. She'd be more of a detail-oriented person/Kha as well, and not so much goal-driven as progress-driven. She'll be obsessive compulsive, but a very happy Kha overall.
As I said in the personality portion, she comes from a non-violent family. Growing up with her father, she'd likely see fighting as a last resort. She'll have no sense of smell. I'll find at least one thing for her to be irrationally terrified of based on something that happens when she's a kitten. :3

Situational Roleplay Questions (Answered as if she were a teen/adult already.)

1. You are heading home from a successful hunting trip when a group of three heavily armoured humans jump out from behind a tree and start demanding the surrender of your catch over to them. Each man has a sword drawn and they are gradually pacing towards you...

How does your character react?
Shela purrs quietly to herself, strolling down the road on all-fours with two dead boars slung over her back. The family was eating well that night, and Shela was on top of the world.
As she hears a rustling in the bushes  she glances to the side, her bright yellow eyes glinting in the light. Her pupils dialate as she hears another rustle from the other direction, and as she turns her head again, and an armored ape comes charging out of the brush, weapon drawn.
Shela tilts her head, letting out a low growl, "Thees ees mahy cayutch."
The man lets out a chuckle, waving his sword past Shela's shoulder to suggest she look. She turns slowly to see two more apes, standing up onto her hind legs as she does. The boars slide off her back, hitting the road with a smack.
A shiver visibly runs up her spine as her fur stands on end, her whole body puffing out. She hisses, her claws coming out of their own accord and her eyes widening. The two apes let out a chuckle as well, looking at each other.
Shela lets out a hiss, bopping one of the armored men on the head. He blinks a few times with surprise, then lets out a laugh, teasing her, "Aww, did we make the kitty angry?
The men all erupt into laughter. Shela growls again, then her ears perk up as she gets an idea.
She grabs one of the boars and makes a run for it while they're laughing. They see her go, one even yells, turning to chase after her, but the leader of the group tells him to wait.
Seeing the one boar she left, they decide to take it instead of pursuing her. Shela gets away with the second boar. With that, and the sheep her brother killed, the family ate well that night after all.

2. You arrive at the temple of Metztli only to see one of your closest friends stealing the sacred blue gems from the altar, a most unholy act for a Kharajyr.

How does your character react?
Shela pads up the steps to the temple, looking around, breathing in deeply with a quiet purr as she feels the presence of Metzli in the air. As she turns the corner she sees a familiar Kha glance around, then swipe up a blue jem, tucking it under his paw.
Shela lets out a growl, perhaps like a gasp of sorts. The Kha whips around, his eyes widening as he realizes he's been caught in the act.
She growls quietly, staring the Kha down. He looks around, then lets out an exasperated mewl. He drops the gem back in the dish, making a dash for the exit. Shela watches him as he goes, then plops down to a sitting position, her ears flopping over as she's overcome by sadness.
Once she finishes her prayers, she makes her way home. She tells her father about what happened, and asks him for his advice on the matter. Dato tells her to find a priest and warn him of the thief being on the loose. She does, despite how awkward it might be between her and her friend. The goddess comes first.

3. You are in the Cloud Temple when a stout, angry little dwarf begins yelling highly racist terms towards you at the top of his lungs. Although unarmed, the dwarf continues to yell after he makes eye contact with you.

How does your character react?
Shela makes her way down the path, looking around at all of the strange, furless creatures with an air of curiosity. From somewhere off to the side she hears someone yelling, and she turns to see what could possibly have someone have someone so worked up.
As she draw closer, she recognizes the distinctly rude attitude the apes too often use, "Git outta here, yah stupid furreh freak!" Shela closes her eyes, her ear twitching as she walks past.
She speaks the words she was told to speak in her head aloud to help drown out the noise as she does, "Wahn... teew... thuree..."
Her fathers advice about keeping her cool taken to heart, as she finishes counting to ten she feels a wave of relief wash over her. She turns to see that the cloud temple is already behind her, the angry ape out of earshot.

4. Fire has broken out over the jungle city and you can hear the screaming of two Kha’ nearby. As you go investigate, you notice that one of your friends and the Tlatlanni’s white-furred child have gotten themselves trapped in opposite ends of a burning building. The roof creaks above you, if you were to get involved, you would only have time to save one before the building collapsed.

How does your character react?
Shela runs up to the source of the screaming, her eyes flicking back and forth as she takes everything in. As the roof creaks she looks up, letting out a gasp/growl as her fur stands on end. She immediately makes a dash for the Tlatlanni's child, hefting up the piece of wreckage pinning down his legs and scooping him up in her arms.
She ducks to the side as a flaming beam falls from the ceiling, making a dash for the door. She shoots a glance at her friend, cringing and turning away as the ceiling caves in. She makes it out just in time with the child, but her friend was not so lucky.
Shela doesn't mourn, though. She looks up to the sky, giving a wave to the moon before she's swarmed by other Kha, all frantically trying to figure out what's happened. She sets down the child, running over to help a group of Kha who are carrying buckets of water into the flaming forest.
