Kardel frowns, not a frown of sadness, but a frown of disappointment as his short-sword drops to the floor with a loud clinking sound. All the work that he had done, the work on Thorin's Peak, the work that he hoped that would promote him from his seemingly mock-position of Ogradhad's Alchemist, a position so unacknowledged by the dwarves and everyone in general. It was he that made the potions that granted them victory against the orcs in the siege of Arruz, and him that keeps their legion alive, curing their wounds with expensive potions and medicines and asking for no money in return. He gazes at his minas pouch, it being full of minas, but he would gladly give it all up just for a more appreciated position. He turns around and walks off, not taking any time to congratulate thorin, and in his anger hurls his helm into the lava pit beside the bridge leading to the king's chambers. He slowly makes his way to Blacklight Hold, where the Ironguts belong, and locks himself in his chambers at the very top of the fort, going back to his alchemy.

Wulfric, after a bit of smithing heads of to the markets of Kal'Azgoth, hears whispers of anger and dissapointment throught the tables concering the new lords. He shakes his head, it's hard for him to admit, but the new lords were poorly chosen. hut he understands that the lords will eventually prove themselves worthy.
