- Overview -

The Brotherhood was formed when two men realized the need for an elite force in Kingston and Salvus to keep the peace when Shields could not. The increasing threat and boldness of bandits, rogue factions and Blackmonts drove the Onyx Brotherhood to force. They work in stealth and secrecy, revealing only minor details to those deeply trusted within their ranks. A uniform will be provided to those who have passed testing and proved themselves worthy as an Onyx.

- Ranks -

Operations Commander - Full command of all forces throughout, but never exempt from the fight.

Lieutenant - Those who have excelled as officers, proving their skill as a tactician, around the battlefield, or in it. Often, men will be placed under command of the platoons divided among each Lieutenant.

Corporal - Those who have seen battle without falter, guiding men straight into combat showing no sign of fear. Typically assigned four men. Corporals are now considered officers.

Sergeant - Men who have proved themselves as leaders, and placed in charge of two Footmen, more may be assigned if officers feel them responsible and necessary.

Footman - Those lucky and skilled enough to have moved up under oath, as a full Onyx. They may be placed over a Recruit's training if desired by an officer.

Recruit - Candidates who have been officially recognized, and now under training by the Brotherhood. They now have the chance to be one of very few to make it as a Footman.

Candidate - Candidates are men selected for observation, and in time may be invited in as a Recruit.
