It can be related to water evo in that manner. Water evo can make ice and steam as well. Electric evo can create electricity but also thunder and lightning.

Basically, this I suppose. It's kind of a grey area both ICly and OOCly, but was actually discovered ICly.

I feel this is quite strange though, don't evocationists need to experience and know about the thing they are about to do, which in this case is summoning lightning, I mean how can they even comprehend how lightning works as we currently are in the medieval era, the whole thing itself seems to bend the rules of evocation. Unless we are able to know about modern day science I feel this is quite a bend of the rules, I don't know just a thought.

Only tier fours and above (back in the old system) which was a VERY long time ICly could even cast the spell, and they could only do it inefficently with **** aim. And well, how can we understand fire, air/wind, and the void? It's fantasy roleplay, we have talking animals probably and some ****, and demon-humans. I don't think understanding lightning is too unrealistic--plus, this has been around for a very long time.

Electric evocationists can conjure lightning from anywhere within a reasonable distance, not just off of their hands.

EX, you can conjure lightning from behind the person as a suprise attack. Though bare in mind they'd probably be able to tell due to the crackling of the lightning, the visible strain you show from casting the spell, and the time it takes to charge up a bolt. Lightning Evocation is a slow charging magic.

Tier five does have the call-down ability, which is a spell that strikes from above, its done by putting the space in which the lightning is conjured high above and putting the polarity that it will be drawn to somewhere on the ground. Its not the most effective thing in the world, but its very flashy and due to the distance and the energy required to mimic lightning, it requires a lot of skill.

Electric bolts cannot be evocated in random places beyond ones' hands, that is incorrect. The only spell even remotely similar to this would be calling down lightning, as stated above, which is taxing, takes a long time to charge, can be inaccurate with inadequate focus and is powerful -- but by no means can someone just lightning-bolt someone from behind. It's either the sky or someone's hands, that's how it was and should be released, as practiced since electrical evocation was introduced in Anthos. The equivalent to that would be designated, spontaneous fire magic; for example, causing fire to erupt beneath under ones' feet or within someone's armor with the excuse that a visible gap is present. This method of magical roleplay was banned.

This seems like an exploit, quite similar to the abuse of fire evocation mentioned before. I do not believe Lanader approved of this method in his guide at all. His word would likely confirm this though.

There's no reason for the only place besides your hands to conjure void lightning being far far up in the sky above someone's head. There's no physical difference, if anything it'd be easier to conjure lightning closer to yourself in airspace.

Also my teacher taught me it was possible and I've been learning since the MA days so I think I'll keep going as I was.

This is worth learning... but, I still didn't find a good enough Dark Magic! Necromancy will ruin my look and health, Shade will torture me and take my body, so please give me something dark but still "tamed" (I control it). But for now, this will work when I get a accepted application! PS: You didn't state where you can learn this magic, like do I have to travel somewhere and join a group or what?

You'll simply have to come across an electromancer in-game, and convince them to teach you. This may prove to be a bit challenging because they're quite scattered AFAIK.

Alright thanks, for some reason I think that the Crimson Hearts might have some magic teachers for anything!
