     Rathina sits upon a tree in malinor,near the well at the front gate with the news of Talions second offence of disloyalty still burning at her. 

 

I gave him everything, I would have left my family...for...him! She hisses in her mind.

 

The Oussana pride and views on impurity caused her father to frown upon such a relationship. He did not mind them being friends, they were obviously to close to just abandon each other; however, any romantic  ideas of being with Talion were frowned on by her father. Who Rathina honored and obeyed.

    Until Talion convinced her he loved her. 

 

Rathina sits on the  tree, remembering the day he confessed his love. He won her with sweet words of honey, Telling her he missed her; how, he was foolish to betray her. She believed his lies. Truly feeling as if they were meant o be together. Only that they had been torn apart by some mistake made years ago. So, She gave everything to Talion, her trust, her faith, and her heart. She had promised him to do everything in her power to change the ways of her family, so that they could marry in peace

 

I gave him EVERYTHING! and he betrayed me AGAIN!

 

Rathina begins to think, there was a saying Talion had told her. One he said he had heard from his mother 

 

What was it...

 

She remembers

It seemed fitting, Rathina her whole life had done nothing but play her rolls as obedient daughter, the hardworking student, and the perfect fiancee to Vuln. Nothing came of it though, 

 

    Being the obedient daughter while her mother lay in bed most days to depressed to talk or eat unless coxed to do so did not help her mother at all, it seemed if there was any change, it was for the worse. Rathina had to tend to the house, cook, gather the food from around them from a very young age. After her mother found her lover, and STILL no change was made. Rathina finally realized nothing she did, would help her mother. She didnt want to leave her mother, far from it, but she was a child. Unable to cope with her mothers depression, unsure of what to do to cure it, no matter how many times she tried to help her mother, she  had abandon her in a way.

 

    So Rathina moved to live with her father, and life seemed good, until tahjeet and talion tried winning her heart. She became a taint on the family to some, she was beaten, and chastised for them trying to court her. Despite her resisting there advances and rejecting there pleas for a chance. In a time of need she found Vuln, finally a man she could love and who would be accepted into her family, for he was mali'ker as well. The happiness she longed for lasted years, until Tahjeet, with the help of another illusionist. Made rathina see himself as Vuln, Speaking as him, saying Rathina's family was no good, that she had changed so much, and in such a bad way that he no longed loved her, 

 

"I hate looking at you, i hate what you've become, what your family is, were done, Rathina.Oussna" 

 

  The ring fell to the library floor, leaving Rathina dumbfounded and heartbroken

 

Now that i think about it...thats...thats when it started Rathina thought Thats when I began to grow cold  She nods from her spot in in the tree, thinking more of the events the have dragged her into this situation.

 

    Afer talking to vuln she found out about tahjeets trick. Her heart mended slightly but scars still remained. They began rebuilding there relationship, Vuln trying to heal her mind and heart. He soon left her however, vanished without a trace. Leaving Rahina once again. Alone.

 

                                                              Alone, I've always been....alone.

 

     She thinks of her sister, mira, The one person who Rathina admired, looked up to, and she was there for her. The sisters, born on the same day, but years apart, had a bond stronger then iron. They shared everything, helped eachother through everything, and protected eachother through everything. Now, the life of her sister, the last remaining person who cared for her, and who had not betrayed her, was gone, the fire of her life drowned out by water, Rathina looked to khel for support, wanting so much for her father to show her he loved her, cared for her, or mira, but he stayed emotionless. Leaving rathina to mimic his reaction, falling into her grief, and tears so often cried she found herself not able to cry anymore, least not in front of her father. She felt empty and broken inside, but..

 

                                   Oussanas do not cry, they are strong, they rise up where people fall

 

          Rathina nods at that, she lost all who were close to her, her father left her after her sisters death to go to the caves, yet she still stands, strong and ready to keep moving on. Looking up to the tree rathina makes a silent vow never to be pushed around again, she would longer fall for the illusions of the heart. She would think of herself, keep herself strong. 

 

            I am a princess of the Oussana family, born of the moon, and blessed by fire, i am strong enough to stand on my own. 

 

                  She stands on the branch, going to climb down the tree with ease as she makes her way for talions home in the druids. 

 

                  She arrives to find the door unlocked, she enters the house "Talion" she calls out 

 

"Im up here Rathina"  she hears a voice from his room upstairs. She follows the voice, walking into his room, leaning her back against the door, putting her hands behind her, one of them wrapping around the hilt of the dagger on the back of her belt. Talion gets up and starts heading for her "how are you rathy?" he asks "ive missed you"

 

Rathina hisses at that and rolls her eyes "sure you did..."

 

Talion frowns "Whats wrong?"

 

"we need to talk" she narrows her jet back eyes at him, Talion frowns and nods walking over to her, she looks to his gut Just a little closer 

 

"Rathina?" 

 

"Do you even love me anymore talion..." she snaps at him, he blinks at the hostility in her voice "OF COURSE I DO!"  he walks closer to her, moving to hug her

 

"LIAR!" as he nears her she brings the arm with the dagger around it to his gut

 

"YOU LIED TO ME! YOU SAID YOU WOULDNT BETRAY ME!" she takes the dagger out and

moves to stab his side "YOU BETRAYED ME! EVERYONE DOES" 

 

        Talion stumbles back against the wall, caught off guard by the attack he moves one hand to the side the other reaching for his dagger, Rathina uses that time to charge and stab at his heart "You dont deserve to live...i gave you everything...now...you return it to me" she hisses, taking off elphies ring he gave her and throwing it into the furnace in his room. she looks at her blood soaked clothes and takes one of talions robes from his room ,putting the hood up and walking out of the druid grove, leaving taion to bleed out on his bedroom floor

As Kaila sits in the clinic, she can not help but look at the scars across her palm. Taking a breath she begins to write. She sends letters off to Rathina and to Talion in hopes that they would come to her upcoming wedding. However, as many as she sends to Talion, they seem to return. Frowing, Kaila continues and soon learns of Talions death. Pain and anger flow through her as she stares at the returned invite. Her heart breaking as she soon sets off outside Salvus in hopes of finding one thing. One thing that tied him to her. Buried under years of dirt, she managed to dig up the necklace he had given her. Holding the necklace close, she begins to sob as her heart breaks over the loss of someone she had loved and grown close to.
