The only think I dislike about the two week system is it will take people almost a full IRL year before their character is really old enough to do anything if they play from age one. And makes it FAR harder for anyone who has an elf character to have more than 1 kid every 5 months. I know the curse plays into effect, but still. The people who complain most at the moment over this is those playing human characters....

This is going to greatly hurt those who WANT to either have children in RP or want to PLAY a child. At least this is my opinion. I dont know anyone who wants to stay as a weak child for 4-5 months.

i haven't thought about this, but you are right. It would simply take too long for one to advance. Changing vote time. ^_^

As a person who plays child characters I say a firm no to 14 days for a year.

For people playing adult characters who want to stay the same age, they can just not age their characters as fast. But for us child RPers we kinda have to follow the calendar system, and I don't want to be waiting 1+ IRL year for my character to age to an adult.

If people aren't forced to age with the calender to live longer, I don't see why you can't do it the other way.

It just ruins RP more to age faster, than to age slower. That's my opinion though.

You can't possibly base the 14 day or 7 day off of a poll. Most voting yes are presumably humans who want to "live" longer. However it has negative affects for anyone but a full grown human. One of the things about playing a human is their short life-span and it already takes over a full IRL year for them to get even remotely old. If you double that time then it just becomes ridiculously slow.

Then they may need to change a few things. Waiting 20 weeks to have a child after your fist is rediculous for anyone roleplaying to enjoy family roleplay. waiting nearly a year before you can play an adult is even more rediculous. I say make it so yes, you age slower as an adult (fine) but then make it so people who enjoy family roleplay CAN enjoy it. Yes elves are infertile, but does that mean waiting half a year IRL to even be REMOTELY close to having a second child? /endrant

I may have mixed the slower and faster part, I didn't try to go against your idea, but with it. (If you were refeering to 1 week = 1 year being the right choice)

For people playing adult characters, they can just age their characters slowly and it doesn't really effect anyone but themselves.
However for child RPers, they often have brother and sister RPers, so they can't just age their character more quickly as then they could end up overtaking their older siblings in age which causes all sorts of problems.
