*A large cloud of smokes billows up in the north of lenfarthing drawing your eye*

Two close friends, Bolo Willowbottom and Aris Snowbird get together to have a nice drink and a chat. The talk of traveling elves and long lost friends soon takes a turn for the worse as Bolo gets up to leave. In all his drunken haze he trips over a throw rug (Which really ties the room together) and falls face first into the blazing hearth.

Aris tries his best to help his fallen friend out, dragging him from the blaze and grabbing the first thing he can to pour on the elder's smoldering visage. This happens to be a mug of Belba's fine applespice mead and serves only to fuel the flames. Time seems to pause for a moment and a sudden 'whoosh' sounds as the living room goes up in flames. Aris yells trying to beat the flames from his pal with a shovel to no avail. Feeling the heat and suffocating smoke close in around them Aris bolts for the door, only to find it blocked by a charred bit of the burrow.

The smoke closes in, blinding and smothering! Just as all seems lost the two hear a barking reverberating through the fog. Hobbling twords the sound, jumping over fires and parting smoke like heavy draperies all the while coughing up soot. They jump through a broken window crisp air rushing to fill their clogged windpipes. As Aris wheezes and coughs Bili's old, fat, and smelly dog runs to meet him licking the soot from his eyes.

Onlookers rush to help put out the fire but by the time it's put out the burrow is just a heaping pile of ash and charred wood. Bolo and Aris are rushed off to the monks and the dangling bit of flesh that was once Bolo's face is restored to it's former not-so-glory. The two would not be alive if it weren't for the brave and cliche acts of Bili's old dog. A memory still burns bright...

((TL;DR, Bolo, Aris and Aris's burrow got baked in true halfling fashion! Also sorry for the poorly worded post. I'm not a great writer as some of you know.))

The spirit of Bili Hollowmead snores gently on a cloud above Lenfarthing, and is suddenly woken by a column of smoke interrupting his snooze. Shocked, he looks down from his cloud, and wheezes as smoke hits him in the face. Grabbing his golden, magical shovel, Bili uses it as a paddle for his cloud-boat, and rows down to Lenfarthing. He quickly whispers into his old hound, Barley's ear. For a few minutes, the old dog hears nothing, taking a nice old nap. After a shout from Bili's spirit, barking madly, the fat, smelly dog runs over to the source of the fire.

Barley discovers Aris and Bolo, and saves the day!

Bili rows back up to the heavens, and stares down at the peaceful town of Lenfarthing, giving a cheeky smile.

Damen stretches both arms in the same direction upwards as he awakens from his nap, looking into the horizon as he sees a huge amount of smoke fill the sky above it. He chuckles as he pushes on the bottom of the seat, now standing upwards. He flicks his finger upwards in a pattern as he spins, clearly dancing now as he twirls around "Lenfarthin' be havin' one hell o' a parteh! Heh! Good fer them!" he continues dancing as he watches the smoke die out, then to return to his sleep.

((jesus, I thought you were killing off Aris, you scared me....))

Richard grumbles sadly at the sight of the wood in Aris' once burrow. He does a slight prayer to the Pumpkin Lord for both his cousin and his old friend.
