A Dissapearance

Upon an elven night a storm brooded over the west of Anthos. Rain poureddown and thunder strikes. Needless to say the mali'aheral were all curled up in their beds, attempting to ignore the worst of the storm and its thunder. However, deep within the labyrinth a single torch remained lit. Next to this torch sat Kalenz, a single tome in hand.

How long had he been there? This would remain entirely unknown to all. Indeed, in the events to come Kalenz would forget for precisely how long he sat there himself. Despite this there is one thing the high elf would remember, one thing that he would in future years attempt to turn into a common phrase about Haelun'or: Books make terrible projectiles. Whether it would catch on would be another matter entirely.

As it came to pass, through a means unknown to anyone five dirty looking men had made their way into the city. They themselves had been searching for the illusionist for quite some time.

Those who entered the room in the labyrinth in the coming days would see a room with books scattered about and an inscription on the floor in glowing green text:

LS for Sohaer

Kalenz for all intents and purposes had seemingly vanished.

((Back in 48 hours or in a month, depending on if I have internet.))

Evarir'Ayla, humming lightly as he goes about returning books to their shelves, steps into the room with the scattered books. His face contorts into an expression of pure horror. The jolly tune he had been humming turns into an agonized wail at the sight of the mistreated books, echoing throughout the labyrinth for a good fifteen seconds before he falls to his knees and sobs. The books he was carrying fall from his arms and contribute to the mess.

Lelien hears the wail from her perch in the library. She lifts her head and decideds to go look for the source.

Once she has found Evarir'ayla sobbing over the books, she sighs rather annoyed.

"Evarir'ayla, what is this mess?! Pull yourself together and clean this up. We won't get anywhere with these silly tears."

She goes to pick up the books, sliding them back in place as she notices the glowing inscription on the floor.

All she does is smirk as she continues to rearrange the books.

Reading the note, Lucion "tsks" numerous times in quick succession. He sighs deeply afterwards, and looks around the mess.

"Delightful. Now one has to return to politics again. Uradir could have least given me a little warning."

Carduin Maeyr'onn leans on his cane rather obliquely, his hands clasped together in a fashion ever so avaricious, hearing tell of Kalenz's mysterious disappearance along with the rest of the city's denizens. His mouth deepens into a concerned frown, his face bearing the visible signs of worry and malcontent. He releases a shallow whisper, barely audible.

"Our great Sohaer...must return, lest we be obscured by darkness once again."

Silvos wanders through the labyrinth, walking past the room and noticing all the people.

"What in the world do you fools think you're doing down here? I've told you plenty of times this place is unstable, now look at what you've done!"

Aiding them in reorganizing the books, half of the books rumble as Silvos holds out his staff and twists it. The books rise into the air, and start placing themselves back into the bookshelves, neatly cleaning up the place as Silvos coughs.

"Out. All of you."

Reading the text, Silvos smirks.

"And now he leaves. How perfect. Looks like we'll have a fake wall to find."

With that, Silvos whips out his map and starts roaming the labyrinth again, leaving the room empty. A few moments later the text-enchanted slab can be found near the entrance of the library.

((Location text-slab moved: Library entrance.))
