Alright so I got a new computer and it's pretty amazing, but every time I try to play a game it will give me an error message such as this. "The program can't start because D3DCOMPILER_43.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem." I have reinstalled it tons of times! PLEASE HELP.

Download the following file and put in this directory

C:\windows\system32 (if you running 32bit)

C:\windows\syswow64 (if you running 64bit)

http://www.dll-files.com/dllindex/dl...d3dcompiler_43

If that doesn't work reinstall directx http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/downl...s.aspx?id=8109

You should really try googling the issues before coming to forums, ect. ect. I understand people have troubles with their computers but it isnt hard to google the error and download the necessary file that is missing. I found that little snippet from a microsoft help forum, just by googling it. Although, When you talk about compilers, it is most likely your directX is either out of date or just installed wrong. I suggest just reinstalling DirectX completely. Make sure you install the correct version for your GPU. Some GPU's dont support every version of directX.

Reinstall your drivers. Update them, if all else fails try doing a repair

What version of directX do you have?

Also, What game are you trying to play...?

Try launching the game in windowed! It's either got to do with your resolution or directX. If you're trying to run a steam game, right click and open properties. Then, go to "Set launch options..." and type in "-windowed". Then once in game change the resolution to the proper one of your screen.
