House lore-

Not much is known about the early times of the Geminine family. Our history is started at the three brothers known as Simon, Aliestor Geminine, and William Geminine. Simon had decided to wed Muriel Geminine, and in order to carry his bloodline, he had children, three brothers to be exact. Simon was not a very good man, many would say he was a bit worthless... but nonetheless he continued the tree. 

 

The Geminine family rose as a very small House in Ildon, with much of the family arriving after hearing they had a bit of a standing there, doing odd bannerman jobs and growing as a house under liege of house Elendil,. As a child, Alianor Geminine ran away from his home in Salvus, with his father dying in battle and his mother missing (presumed dead). Alianor found himself in Ildon, where Merek was taking the position of Baron. 

 

After many years, Merek decided to step down from his position of baron and allowed Aliestor to take his place. After much time, House Geminine wanted to be freed from their vassalage under house Elendil and settle in a land of their own. After much consideration, Artorus allowed them to do so, and they settled in the land of Simonia, which is in the southernmost part of Westfall. Aliestor had always been rather friendly with a lot of women, and many of his children are thought to be among us. 

 

After five years of running the newly settled land of Simonia, Aliestor passed suddenly, and with nobody stepping into position of charge, Ser Alianor Geminine took it upon himself to take charge of Simonia and start the noble lineage from himself. He planned to one day give power to his only son, Taron Geminine. 

 

Upon moving to the the Isle of Elysium, Alianor took on the position of the Grand Justice of Oren, and the known part of the family rested in a manor in Oren.

 

Taron had a child with Kiara Rose, who left him and the child, making it an illegitimate baby. Most of the remaining family split apart. The family almost died off, forgotten about for years.

 

After receiving a letter from Angelika about five years after the disappearance of Taron and Alianor, Megan Geminine decided to attempt to rebuild the family. She wed Samuel Carter, and many Geminines from the far reaches of Anthos took up the calling of their long-lost relative and returned to their family. The now-reformed House Geminine received a barony in the county of Greymarsh from their liege House Denims-Therving and renamed it to Gemglade.

 

After Megan's death due to illness, her husband Ser Samuel Geminine took over as head of the Geminine family. After acquiring the whole of Greymarsh County and building a keep, he sends out yet another group of Geminine bannermen, to begin the search for the rest of the family.

 

Note- Geminines typically have blonde or dark brown hair with trademark green eyes.

I am sending out my bannermen to search for any living members of the family who still live apart from us, so that we may be reunited. The resurgence of House Geminine is beginning, and we must assemble our family members to restore the

family to its former greatness. 

 

We have recently acquired the remaining land in Greymarsh County, and have begun further expanding our lands. The great keep in Greymarsh is under construction, and all returning family members will be guaranteed housing within its walls.

We are currently in the process of building our keep, and we are in possession of a large manor in Greymarsh. Later on, we will be recruiting bannermen, farmers, and other workers.

Brief Biography- 

Amelia has grown up with missing parents. When she was 6 years old, Rio- her uncle on mother's side- took her on the ship to Anthos. Alianor and Kaitlyn haven't been seen by Amelia ever since. It wasn't that harsh on Amelia, after all she was only six. From then on, Rio raised her in a multi-race village. Amelia soon became used to having so many different people around, when she moved back to Oren, she felt really uncomfortable. She was a noble in blood- yes, but she didn't feel like one. Amelia is always curious, because of the mystery of her parentage, and lighthearted. Now, Amelia has a hard time fitting into the noble community, and is looking for a job. 

 

Aaron Geminine

Brief Biography-

Odella Geminine was born to the formerly unknown bastard daughter of the elder Jacob Geminine, Ellyn, and her husband Alexander. As both the younger child and the only daughter, Odella was favored over her brother by their parents, and she received special attention. When she was 18, Odella was sent away to find a suitable noble husband. Instead, she decided to go live by herself. Her parents disowned her, and she has been living by herself until she receives a letter from the Geminine bannermen…

 

 

Colton Geminine

Brief Biography- 

 

Colton Geminine was never meant to be born. His own father, Merek Geminine, never received word of his birth because Colton’s mother, a prostitute, didn’t want to hurt his reputation. A few years after Colton’s birth, his mother wrote a letter for him to open at the age of 18, which would tell him everything about his father. His mother put him in a basket with the letter, and left him on the steps of the orphanage. Colton was adopted a few times, but he was always sent back the orphanage because of his temper and poor attitude. Finally, he turned 18 and learned who his father was. He has since been searching for word of the Geminine family, but has not heard anything until the bannerman sent out by Samuel pass him on the road…

Brief Biography-
 

Growing up as the son of Jacob Geminine’s bastard daughter as well as being the eldest child of his parents, yet not being the favorite, Gabriel Geminine has always been a bit of a rebel. At the age of 16, he left home without a word to his parents or sister. Gabriel worked a few odd jobs until he met the love of his life, Sara Longford. As a poet, Sara was very opinionated. Just two years after the birth of Gabriel’s child with her, Sara was brutally killed in a protest against child labor. Her death broke Gabriel, and he lived in solitude with his daughter, Fay, until he was approached by men with a letter…

Brief Biography-

Fay Geminine has had a short, yet painful childhood. She can hardly remember her mother, who was killed in a protest when she was only two. Every once in a while, Fay receives visions of her mother in her head; bright blue eyes, golden locks…. Ever since the death of her mother, Fay has been raised by her father, Gabriel Geminine.

Character Name- Gabriel Geminine

Character skills-  Since Gabriel wasn't the favorite child of his parents, he didn't receive alot of attention. Therefor he didn't pick up very much skills from them. But when he walked away age 16 things changed. Gabriel had a few odd jobs as a carter ( a workmen who brought wood and stone to the site of a castle under construction), an ewerer (a worker who brought and heated water for the nobles), a porter (also known as a door-ward) and many other odd jobs. Gabriel once worked as an Atilliator in a castle, he learned how to make bows and tested them after they were made. He learned how to arch. When he was tired of that job, he decided to apply for more quiet job at small cafe. That cafe attracted alot of artsy people, including musicians, painters and poets. At this cafe he met Sara, the love of his life. 

 

Character weaknesses- Gabriel always acted tough. But after he fell in love, things changed. Gabriel had a weak spot for Sara. She tore the walls he built around him down. Sara knew him inside and out. They were meant to be, soul mates. Not long after the birth of their child Sara was murdered. Gabriel was heartbroken and the walls Sara once tore down were slowly recovering again. But he wasn't alone, he had Fay. Fay grew up and she tore those walls once again down. She reminded him of Sara. 

 

Character personality- Gabriel is a quiet but tough man. He's very polite around people. He can be very outgoing, but that's mostly with people he really knows well. He's a family man. He loves spending quality time with his family, especially his daughter.

Why are you the best applicant for this character?: I believe I could roleplay Fay very well. She seems like a well developed character at only the age of six. I have roleplayed as a child before on a minecraft server, but haven't on Lord of the Craft and I believe now is the best oppurtunity to play one.

Why do you want to play as a Geminine?: Because I feel the house lore is very unique and the group seems friendly, plus I want some fun and varied Roleplay. Also I see Gabriel has just been taken, so I would be ready to go.

Character name: Fay Geminine

Character skills: Fay has recently started learning to read and rather enjoys picture books. When she is not with her father, she will be in her room either doodling quietly or trying to make out the squiqqly lines on the page. She has also tried her hand at painting. Once she had a vision, and Fay had the initiative to paint the image whilst she remembered it, but keeps that hidden under her wardrobe. Fay also enjoys playing outside, trying to put aside her painful childhood to be princess of Oren, being saved by a dashing prince.

Character weaknesses: Fay's visions often give her nightmares, the stamping of marching armor as protestors get crunched under giants boots. As a result, she is sometimes tired during the day and often needs a nap or a rest to recoup her energy. Fay is also extremely attached to her father as he is the only parent she has left, this could impact her later in life.

Character personality: On the outside, Fay is a bubbly cute little girl, but inside she has the crumbling remains of a child who is yearning for a mother. Fay loves her remaining family with all her heart, but likes some alone time also. She enjoys her small rabbit teddy which is one of the only items she has left from her mother, plus it smells of her so she would naturally be attached to it.

I believe that I can roleplay Amelia very well because I have met (IC and OOC) the mother and father of this character multiple times, and I know their personalities and characteristics that would be passed on to Amelia, already giving me a greater understanding of this character. Along with this I have I feel as if this character fits my comfort zone as I have already played many female characters that can relate to Amelia.

As Amelia grew up with her father and mother until the age of six years old, she was taught many skills, but had never quite mastered them. Her father, Alianor Geminine, had taught her how to fish, read, write, and basic sword skills. While her mother, Kaitlyn geminine, taught her other skills such as basic speaking skills and manners, the ability to cook, and defend herself using other tactics than a sword. Amelia was born a natural fighter, like her father and mother, but never gets the chance to show her true talent.

 

Character weaknesses-

When Amelia was separated from her parents at the age of six, she never saw them past that point, giving Amelia a sense of loneliness. As she grew up in a village in Anthos, she knew she would always have a person to turn to for help, and that was her uncle Rio, but Rio wasn't the same as having a parent around. Around the age of 14, Amelia realized that she would probably never see her parents again, reducing her feelings of pride and courage.

 

Character personality-

Amelia is very kind to everybody she meets, regardless of race. She believes that if there is a quarrel between herself and another, the first priority is to talk it out, and try to avoid a fight. "Family always comes first," is Amelia's sentence that she lives by every day.
