Edict of the Pontifical States

Issued and confirmed by His Imperial Majesty the Holy Emperor of Oren, William the Third of His Name, King of Renatus and Seventis, Defender of the Faith, Protector of the Realm, Lord Protector of Malinor, Lord Defender of Lenfarthing, and Lord of all the Imperial Realm’s territories and holdings throughout Anthos.

 

At the will of the High Pontiff Lucian I, Pontiff and Metropolitan Bishop Goddard of Salvus is hereby declared High Pontiff of the One True Church.

 

    At the will of His Imperial Majesty the Holy Emperor of Oren William III, all the various lands and holdings of the Church of the One True Faith are granted autonomy within the realm of the Holy Empire of Oren, and shall be collectively referred to as the Pontifical States.

 

At the will of His Imperial Majesty the Holy Emperor of Oren William III, the office of High Pontiff shall replace Holy Emperor as Head of the One True Church.

 

At the will of His Imperial Majesty the Holy Emperor of Oren William III, all the various clergymen and lay servants of the One True Church are no longer to be considered denizens of the Holy Empire, and instead are granted citizenship with the Pontifical States.

 

By the generosity of His Imperial Majesty the Holy Emperor of Oren William III, all holy relics of the Empire are hereby vested in trust to the High Pontiff of the Pontifical States.


At his own discretion, the High Pontiff assumes the title Vicar of Horen the Favored Son, Successor of the Prince of the Disciple, Supreme Pontiff of the True Church, Primate of Oren, Archbishop and Metropolitan of the Savoie Province, Sovereign of the Pontifical States, and Servant of God.
