The Origins

 

  It was during the time of the 30 year war. Ibless had shown him true self rising an army of undead against the mortals of Aegis. Aeral raised her army of Ascended calling upon the mortals to aid her in the fight. In time as the war went on mortals of similar beliefs were drawn together. They called themselves the shad’rin brothers and sisters in arms banding together to fight the evil that plagued their land.

   After the years of fighting, the shad’rin slowly lost faith in the Ascended finding their trust better placed in the hands of mortals. Their numbers grew. So did the war, the fighting was never ending. They soon found themselves away from the nations, hiding and waiting in the shadows only seeing the undead as the only fight that they must get involved in. They ignored the fighting of nations and their politics altogether. Seeing no reason to interfere with the races and kingdom’s ordeals as they had a much larger responsibility to handle.
 
  Their isolation and goals did not go unnoticed, years of fighting, training and blood spilling for a just cause against the undead as well as keeping to their strict code soon lead to more than simple mortals taking interest in the shad’rin. It was after the largest battle to date for the shad’rin.Their once mighty order was cut down to a small few in a single battle. They few that lived lost, broken and crushed. The goal they once stood for, seeming unworthy now with all their brother and sisters dead.
 
  That was the first time the few left heard her voice. It came to their ears  in a sense of a soft, though echoing harmony of words ringing in their minds. She told them to stand strong once more but not to be alone. The few left stood strong once again, her words guiding them as they found a new purpose in the world, She told them to watch from the shadows, Gain knowledge and power through any means but unlike many other mortals, not to abuse this but to use it for the greater good. As mortals they themselves found this task hard but they kept true to her word using what they knew for good.
 
  They changed from the order they once were, now hiding in the shadows watching. Using their knowledge and power for the greater good now fighting more than just the undead. They knew that with good, there comes evil. Sometimes it must be accepted as they themselves would use what others saw as evil or crimes. They would not seek justice for small crimes such as murder they only seeked to end forces such as the undead. Ones that wish to use the land and her people for their own corrupted reasons and the ones with the power and people to do this.
 
  Then she gave them her name finally seeing them worth of it, Theilas she called herself. A half breed a lesser of the gods. Soon after a gift her bless, Seeing the mortals prove themselves finally changing from what they once were, now following her goal with a meaning. At first all the mortals noticed was their eyes now glowed blue, but her blessing was more than that. Soon they noticed they could feel it within themselves, flowing with in their veins. After awhile, they began to have a sensing of each other. The blood coursing in the bodies seemed to allow them to track each other in  a way. 
 
  Though it only came to them in slight sensations from time to time. They learned to harness the ability over time, using it to distinguish their ranks in an effortless way. Their eyes could bend the emotions that others see within their eyes.Than they feel her blessing deeper than just the blood and veins. They could feel it with in their very muscles and that they could control, though at a cost. Than they found that they could transfer energy between one another and the ones that were truly attuned with her blessing could even ask other living mortals for their energy


They eventually went back to their own races and began to live their lives anew. They took on common professions that suited their skills. Many of them went on to marry and pass on the bloodline. The blessing of Theilas was passed from generation to generation, laying dormant until the day the balance was threatened once more and they would once again rise from the shadow

 

Rebirth

 

 

The Blood

 

The blood is passed from the true blooded to new members. Once the blood has been passed it marks the person as one of the Shad’Rin and allows true bloods to track the infused. The blood also allows the infused to grow into true members with Erebus and the true masters blessing, and a complex ritual can be done to speed this process. When one becomes a true member, they will not have the typical powers of that other true members have, they must be taught and spend time training to master the arts of the true bloods such as the joining,the tracking of other shadow touched, Showing emotions in their eyes and the other powers that true bloods have, Once a true blood has master all this their eyes with the blessing of Erebus will turn purple to show their true power to the guild and the world.

 

True blooded mages find the process of tracking the easiest. New members will gain the skill of tracking through practice.

 

The Eye’s

 

The blue eyes, another sign of the shadow blood. Members gain this once they become infused by the shadow blood if they do not their eyes may still flash or turn blue in times of need or when they draw upon the power of the shadow blood. The true blooded can also with training control what others see with in the depths of their eyes, 

 

Ranks

 

Pure bloods

 

The Most powerful member’s in the guild they make the most important decisions and rule the guild none can question them but when their is most than one they must consult on most matters.   

 

True Bloods

 

They are the second most powerful members in the guild. They carry out the orders of the Pure bloods and make less important decisions and take care of matters that do not need the master true blood’s attention.

 

Shadow Blessed

 

They are the third most powerful members carrying out the true blood orders and taking care of the lower ranks and matters that do not need the true blood attention 

 

Infused

 

Initiates that have proved themselves well become shadow blessed meaning they do most important tasks and their true training begins
