A breeze blows through Bravepaw's leafy beard, awakening him from a long slumber. The morning dew gathers along his bark like skin. Once his eye lids creak open to start the day, he sees that the dawn has not yet reached him like the days before. He rises from his mossy cot and looks up above him. His oaky face feels with joy, the wait of morning gone.

An Elder Tree has blossomed! The mighty Osage has blessed us with his birth! Orlanden's eyes open as if he were startled out of his sleep and soon widen as he see's what occured over night. With a grin on his face he says to Bravepaw, "I think it's time brother. We must spread the word."

Orlanden and Bravepaw pack their saddlebags and set out on horseback to every city they can, to every crossroad, to every inn. From nailing posters to announcing speeches, they spread the word of the birth of Osage the next in a long linage of Elder Trees. Day by day they spread the word.

* You come across a poster it reads: *

"My brother Orlanden and I are honored to announce that the next Elder Tree has blessed us with its birth! Osage is seeking out its family! When I was High Prince of Malinor and my brother Prince, we made a promise to Malin's children, many of who so desperately cried out to us on our day of resignation from power. We swore to create a sanctuary for out brothers and sisters. I planted the Elder Seed away from politics and distractions of the developed world. The Elder Tree took root right away, but waited for the right time to blossom. I am able communicate to the Elder Tree as now our souls are joined as one and it has named itself Osage. It is seeking out Wood Elves of old: The clan folk. Orlanden and I have resurrected traditions of old Mali'ame and are going back to our roots like we believe Malin intended. Also, we have taken up the occupation of horse breeding and all clan members will need to be trained as horseback archers. We call out to all true Mali'ame, or Wood Elves as it was called long ago, and any other person of any race who wish to enjoy a peaceful lifestyle amongst nature.  If you wish to take up old traditions and join the Osage clan in the new birthed Elder Tree seek us out or send me a letter by bird. We are south of the crossroads, just past the Mushroom Forest on the road to the Dwarven lands. If you are a traveler and just want to visit or trade, do note that we are a peaceful clan, but will not hesitate to sling an arrow into your skull if you are deemed a threat."

The Lore Team was supposed to have contacted you about this a while back.

This tree is allowed to exist but it is not an elder tree. It's likely that you'll need to revise a great deal about this, if you feel the need you can contact me via PMs along with Alan and other LMs.

Also binding your soul to it isn't a skill that Bravepaw should know.  That's actually an exclusive Druid skill that has existed since the beginning of Aegis and only a few even know of its existence.

The lore above is established elder tree lore and has been for a very long time.  I hope not to disappoint or anger you too much, but this needs to be remedied and remedied soon.

I have it approved and screen shots from the Lore master to prove it. I created the lore for the elder trees. The older term for large trees is mother trees. later the term "Elder" referenced all large tree's but the true term came from the lore I created. If you want to see the screen shots then just message me.

Khel looks over the poster made by Bravepaw. His face warps into subtle snarl forms about on his face as his hand clench into a fists. A low rumble arises in his throat, forming breathy whisper to himself

"Faeries, always incapable of competence"

Khel departs from the scene, contemplating on what he'd do to any dark elf who would join their ranks.

OOC:

I believe there's been some miscommunication here. For one, large trees where never referred to as Mother Trees, Mother Trees were and still are trees, regardless of size, that are RPly viewed as the original tree of a forest. For instance, Ethanriel, the Druid's Grove in Elandriel in Asulon, was the first tree that all the other trees in Elandriel grew from and thus it was the forest's Mother Tree. Also, Elder Trees since early Aegis have always been the term for trees of significant age that have gained sentience, and the term was around long before you created the story of Normandor and the Elder Seed. Although, there is a modern term for large trees which is "Eldertrees", so that might be the source of confusion considering it is the same spelling, although Eldertrees and Elder Trees are nonetheless different.

Next on the list is your usage of Elder Trees and Soul Binding, as well as the confusion surrounding the lore I myself accepted for you. Once again, Elder Trees are trees of age and sentience, you can't just grow them on a whim. The exception to this was when I accepted your lore for Normandor, which was that an Elder Tree had grown from the Elder Seed which you had brought to Asulon. However, this was the one exception to the lore, it wasn't a free card to just grow Elder Trees whenever, as that is lore breaking and impossible RPly. Also, the story I accepted allowed for your soul's binding to the tree due to the nature of the Elder Seed itself, but once again there is a delicate process to Soul Binding and this seed was the one exception; you can't just bind your soul to any tree on a whim, even if it's an Elder Tree.

Sorry that we didn't get a chance to explain this sooner, but this is how it is and how it has always been. If you truly do have screenshots I'd love to see them, because I get the feeling that the acceptance of the original lore has gone awry and the lore itself has since changed to something different then its original form. PM me if you have questions so that we can mop up any inconsistencies.

I am not soul bound to Osage's spirit (( the current elder tree )). I am soul bound the the spirit of Normandor.  Osage is the seedling  I brought from the Normandor Elder Tree approved by you. I rply planted this RP approved seed and over IRL Months it has finished growing. If you would like to see the screenshots of this seed being approved  please feel free to message me.

Bravepaw notices Khel at a distance overlooking the poster. He then remembers how Khel was a boot licker until Brave gave him a chance.

"Tis a shame" * Brave says to himself

He continues down the road to the next city.

Orlanden has returned to the camp at the tree to restock his and Brave's food supply. He takes a lengthy break, allowing his horse some rest, and takes a seat in the cool shade of the Elder Osage. He begins to whittle some branches he picked up. Soon they'll be turned into magnificent pipes.

He leans back against the tree, his hands dropping to a rest on his lap as he enjoys the serenity of the nature around him.

He sighs with a smile and says, "There just isn't any shade quite like the shade of an Elder Tree." Letting out a slight chuckle, he pats the bark as he continues, "Soon there will be many more enjoying your shade, too, Osage."
