I think the application requirements are not fair, as of my first time applying i got removed for 1 "Powergaming needs to be correct" then they said "you got power gaming definition right but example is wrong" so its saying i need every little thing right basically and im not much of a story right so i wrote a small bit of information on my guy hoping it would be fine since im allready 1 and half hours through this application. (messaged the admin about getting help with biography) and my roleplay definition was incorrect so i got about 17/20 things right I think surely that would be enough? Who exspects people to get 20/20 ? I think its ALOT over exsessive and people should not be put on so high standards and after watching some youtube videos of this people are saying this servers no good, but i still want to try it and give it a go.

The server's current application is actually very lax compared to what it was. Each application team member assesses applications differently, some are stricter, some are more lenient. We're really not expecting you to get '20/20' but we need reasonable evidence that you know what you are talking about when it comes to roleplaying. Powergaming definitions are very important when it comes to actual roleplay on the server so that is why the application team member may have been stricter when it came to that aspect of your application. At the end of the day though, all you need to do is reapply after 24 hours and improve, and there is no reason why you won't be accepted.

Yes thanks i hope i get in and see you around i was just abit annoyed after 2 hours of making that :L but he did say my power gaming definition was right but example was wrong is there anywhere i can get help with making my applications since im not a good writer?

Don't worry bud! Almost nobody gets it completely right on their first try! It took me till my third attempt to get it accepted. Hang in there.

 

Also before you apply again try to iron out your app as much as you can. It couldn't hurt.

Ill post my app here just so you guys can see feel free to tell me what went wrong dont go soft on me i want you to be kinda harsh so i can get it almost perfect :) Have you ever roleplayed before - if you have, how?: - Iv role-played on garry's mod a couple of times iv also roleplayed on a minecraft server that had about 25 people on but it got shut down to lack of donations

Have you been on any other roleplaying servers?: - Yes as stated above

Have you applied to this server before?(Please link past applications): - I have not applied before this is my first ever application

How did you hear about us?: -I searched fun role-playing minecraft server i though i would find ones like garrys mod (gangsters and that) But i found one even better! This one with dwarves humans ect

What do you think the server will be like? - I think this server will be amazing and friendly and when i log on there will be others in the race i want to be offering me a place to stay and teach me the basics.

Have you read and agreed to the rules?: - Yes iv read the rules

What’s your favourite rule / the rule you agree with the most: Number 7 "When you set up a minecraft skin make sure it suites that role you play" because it would make no sense to be talking to an human and hes minecraft skin is a goblin for example or a animal

What is roleplaying?: - Roleplaying is acting in a way that others can join in and help with the flow so everything runs smooth and you don't get a conversation like this "James my dear human we need your help to rally against the elves" then someone says "Why this is just a game..." they take everyone out of the "zone" and cant stop them playing how they like to play

What’s metagaming?: - For exsample i see someones minecraft name lets say mine creepyelites and i walk up and say "Hey creepyelites" but he does not know me/met me in a roleplaying style hes just looked up and saw my name and talking in ooc in a roleplaying way

What’s powergaming?: -Roleplaying but giving the other person no chance so it could be like this "draw your sword fellow human we will settle this in a duel" and then the other human trys to reason "No sir I would wish not to" then the other guy just say "no we are dueling" then starts to hit him

What’s your character called?: - Thonthen

What race are they (and sub-race)?: - Dwarve, The Mountain Dwarf

What sex are they?: - Male

How old are they?: - 27

Give us a brief description of their life - their story, childhood, family: - They grew up with their dwarf parents in a mountain like most dwarves and they trained long hard days his childhood was nice and calm no attack had been.

What are they like (personality)?: - My Dwarf is a friendly dwarf but if you get on the wrong side of him he will try to fight you he also has a bit of an anger issue (short temper)

What are their ambitions?: - To defend his fellow dwarves

Do they have any special skills?: - Just a good axe wielder

What are their weaknesses?: - Because of his short temper he can easily be annoyed on purpose then "baited" into places he does not want to go without noticing with the only attempt to hurt the other person

Give us a description of how they look (not a screenshot yet!)?: - Hes a dwarf with a brown beard reach just above his waist with a gold band round each and he has some sorts of armor on and he also has his favorite axe on his back

Anything else you want to say about them?: - He loves a good old fight he defends his village when ever he can and rushes to an ally's aid when needed

Well the trick is, dont get annoyed after 2 hours. I was accepted in my first application but I literally spent days if not weeks perfecting it. The application is an insight into who you are as a gamer, so take your time and make sure you get your self fully across as a gamer. Make sure your grammar and spelling is right and research lore and history if it would help.

I'm sorry you were denied, but don't lose hope!

The best thing you can do now is take the advice you were given and try to implement it as much as possible into your application to impress the next AT member to review you.

If you manage to do this well, you should be accepted next try! Take the 24 hours you have before you can post it as time to think it over, think about developing your character. Try to make him as well thought out as possible and you should end up with a fantastic application!

Add me on skype so we can talk, remember the little things like spelling and grammar. I instead of i, I've instead of iv and maybe throw in a few full stops or peroids after a sentence.

Advice I can give you is to really flesh out your character. Describe his personality intensely, make him as true to life as possible. Also don't skimp on lore, the more you can include, the better your chances are. If you mention where you were born, and major events you were in etc. you will impress the application team immensely. Thonthen is a mountain dwarf who loves to fight he lives in city Kal'Azgoth he regulary helps train troops he protected the king for many years he was one of the finest soilders he will do anything to protect the city he lives in and the king hes seen lots of men die in battle he was put into training as a kid then hes skills developed when he was young the city was attacked a orc smashed down the door then his mum pushed Thonthen down a trap door to hide him Thonthen peeked through the gap the orc had a slice in his face in a X shape the orc took he big hit and killed his mum this filled Thonthen with rage when the orc left he swore to his mum who was about to bleed out i promise you i will not let this happen again i will defend this village and the king.

The thing you might like to hear is, majority of the players have been denied multiple times before being accepted.
