I was looking to become a mage or priest and have done some searching but I can't seem to find anyone well atleast admitting they are and are willing to teach me.

So basically I want to become a mage or priest and need a person to teach me any advice on how to find one?

RP, man. You should never, ever ever ever ask people OOCly unless you want intense hate from the Mage community. RP well and you might stumble upon a potential friend teacher.

There are sadly a large number of mages who will mock you simply for asking. My recommendation is to go to the Mages College. Even if they can't teach you they'll be polite about it.

If you want to be a priest perhaps give Oren a visit and ask around I honestly don't know how to go about doing that but I'd think that'd be the best place to start.

 

As for learning magic there are many different guilds you could join and in time perhaps they'll teach you. A few of these include the Mage's Guild and the Arcane Delvers. You won't likely find a teacher on the forums, searching in game is your best bet. Good luck!

Like, they need to decide that they wanna teach you; I've tried actually, but never got anywhere. Wizards are tricky man.

  He's not a teacher (sorry to be a party pooper Acorn :3). You should really do all of this in RP, it took me a month for my family to finally gather enough information for self-taught, it takes patience, be inpatient with magic and you'll find yourself circling the starting line.

At the moment I don't believe the clerical order is taking members, as their one teacher already has three pupils. If you wait a bit it might open up some though.

  I became self-taught in the old magic system, due to the new one, it is extremely hard to be self-taught.
