I'd like this plugin, if Australia had decent internet. The fighting plugin is suppose to make it easier to PVP with lag, right? Well, it makes it much harder... I like the general idea of it. But, its really buggy 'nd not good for people with bad internet.

Aye, Nexus PvP fails to cover a couple of goals it set out to achieve.

  1. Making battles longer - riposte makes it not uncommon to insta-kill, and I often find myself taking people out in a couple hits. Also, I can still spamclick people to death if I watch my stamina, there's no cooldown in between swings.
  2. Helping people with lag - if you have lag you are fundamentally screwed.

Couple ways to fix this:

  1. Remove riposte - it makes insta-kills possible, this is not good.
  2. Remove mining fatigue - it makes it harder to time your swings, but spamclicking is still possible.
  3. Double the health of everybody - this would achieve the goal of making fights longer. Would also make us more resistant to mobs.
  4. Nerf stamina - make it a lot longer lasting, or remove it entirely.
  5. Add new weapons - I think if we added new weapons and a professions plugin than stamina would be a good addition to PvP methinks.
  6. Keep everything else about Nexus, fix Knockot plugin so that people don't glitch into the ground and shizz.

Yet, it's still a great plugin and everything else is good. I think these modifications would appease both sides of the argument well enough. Compromise.

What Gronkk says, but keep mining fatigue.

Although I really do like the concept and idea, I think a lot of tweaks and changes need to be made to make it better. I am preparing an entire post I just don't have time right now

If you don't have a perfect connection with Nexus, you may as well bend over and start waving your arse about. It's even more dependant on connection than vanilla PvP. Then there are the numerous glitches and random bugs that can screw you over completely, the one-shot moves, the easily abusable dodge to get up walls and then the damned combat fatigue. I don't even want to start discussing the stamina bar, especially when you have a bad connection and suffer some great ol' lag.

All Nexus really seems to me is wanna-be Dark Souls combat system that just does not work. Is that enough reasoning?

Why? It doesn't do anything other then give you a slower animation. As Lagomorphia has already stated, the hit registers instantly.

This is pretty much all that needs to be done. I'll be making a more longer and constructive post later today, maybe even a video with some ideas.
