Ooc: Attracting New Players

IF a halfing couple are having a kid or something I'll be a halfling.

The reason I (and possibly others) don't want to play a halfling is because halflings are more or less contained in one town. Lenfarthing or whatever. This makes it hard for us to just make a halfling and walk into Lenfarthing. It'd make sense that Halflings come from Lenfarthing, right? So where did this halfling that's new come from? It's awkward, and the halfling doesn't know anyone so why bother continuing.

Know what I"m sayin'!?

That's actually a pretty simple thing to solve. Either say that your parents were weird improper Halflings from a big un city, don't talk about your past, or say that you lived in a little secluded burrow outside of Lenfarthing. If you're a Halfling and you at least try to follow the lore, we'll welcome you with open arms and we probably wont care about what slightly iffy sounding past you came up with.

If you want to meet other Halflings in Lenfarthing, just stick around the Inn. You're bound to meet the active Halflings and get some RP going. But if you really want to make a Halfling that knows some people and makes sense within the lore, just PM one of the active Halflings and ask if you can be a cousin, brother, or some other relative. Most of us would probably love to add a member to our little Halfling family tree.

I know Yokey needs some relatives who would be proud to call themselves Fatroot.

Anywho, on the subject of events, I've been planning to make a Halloween event :)

Be on the lookout for a haunted burrow.

Yea I agree with the haunted burrow.

Also, for any halflings that are brave enough and want to fight for lenfarthing against orcs or big-uns, go to the topic of the pumpkin order. ( you don't need to leave lenfarthing for this, it is really just to get some others interested and to stop invading orcs that may pop up every so often.)

What if we all made event proposals centered around the Halflings? Of course anyone who wanted to could show up, but we could just make a bunch of event proposals that take place in Lenfarthing.

Also VALON, YOU ECCENTRIC GENIUS, GO GET THAT MAN-FROG LORE IMPLEMENTED!

One, we've yet to implement the cantankerous chicken.

Two, just wait for the college kids to get on winter term.

I do believe rp is so much more enjoyable when half of the entire farthing's goods aren't spirited away by malicious little orc children.
