Ooc: Attracting New Players

Lets face it... there are only a few of us who have survived through the days. Most people join and then leave (because they can't stand to not be a warrior ninja who always wins) . We need a big event! Not only a festival, but an event to end all events. Something to attract everyone! New players and veterans! People who never knew the absolute joy of playing a halfling. I mean come on guys... WE HAVE THE BEST RP ... people just don't recognize it. So here is where we can throw around some ideas... us halfling veterans... and up our population to that of the humans (Maybe a bit of an exaggeration) .

Leave your ideas and feedback!Shirewide.jpg

P.S We may want this pinned.

One thing we can do is invite trade with the other nations. Have something they don't to draw their attention. We could have a great invention that nobody else can or will have. We can go into the banking business and be a banking nation. We could announce that we will have an ale factory that is huge..........

Halflings don't seem like the type to become big business owners, and keeping an invention race specific is a bit silly.

What we could do is host some more festivals (like Knoxmas fest), make a few player run events (like the cake cave), branch out a little more (like a Halfling field trip or sum'in'), and just keep doing our light hearted/odd/enjoyable/kind-of-adorable RP.

Or we could just launch the nukes and obliterate the rest of Anthos forcing all the plebs of the land to flock to Lenfarthing.

Yeah, the cake cave is almost done and we can have it lead to the opulent hops afterwards... p.s  its almost done.

Step one. Make a lot of Ale.

Step two. Give it to everyone in Anthos.

Doing one big event is going to do much for us, what we need are more permanent players. At the moment all we get are people making one-day halflings and never actually sticking around. Now, we as Elders are to blame for this. We need to be more active and helpful to the newer players instead of just say "'lo!" and retreating back into our social halfling clique. But, I do like the idea of the halflings having a giant festival like the GM Village Festival. Anywho, thats just my two cents. G'day, everyone!

IF a halfing couple are having a kid or something I'll be a halfling.

The reason I (and possibly others) don't want to play a halfling is because halflings are more or less contained in one town. Lenfarthing or whatever. This makes it hard for us to just make a halfling and walk into Lenfarthing. It'd make sense that Halflings come from Lenfarthing, right? So where did this halfling that's new come from? It's awkward, and the halfling doesn't know anyone so why bother continuing.

Know what I"m sayin'!?

A lot of new halflings come from the cities, their parents where maybe rogue city hobbits. Although the funnest rp is inside the Dales,  there are a few city hobbits.
