Heff 2460 Share Posted October 27, 2013 In all seriousness, it is a great idea. Does anyone have ideas for the names of the next village? Fardale for next village name. Edit: Or Fumble-Farthing
shiftnative 3103 Share Posted October 27, 2013 Would the Halflings be interested in living around the cloud temple instead? (As suggested by someone in another thread.) Greeting the players with some bread and soup for their journey, or a nights rest before one! The Halflings may even see more RP this way and new players would be able get on their feet a little easier with some peaceful and familiar rp.
TheRoyalOnion(Aris) 101 Share Posted October 27, 2013 Alright I think the general consensus is yes. We're fine with being semi close to the temple but not on it. Perhaps a little bit off the main road leading out from the temple would be good? We'd still like the town to be back from the highway.

Have us a little ways off, but maybe on a small path towards the main road. And as for burrows maybe more of this style:
shiftnative 3103 Share Posted October 27, 2013 Here's how I've changed spawn to accomadate the halflings, (I've been adding a lone mountain per dalek's request, please let me know if you don't want a mountain.) Also here's my go at a Halfling home/inn, (You can put item frames on the half-step sign post.)

P.S Benny make a burrows section in the main topic as well. But I like shift's burrow design much better and I think that should be the new style, at least for the larger burrows. The Halflings may even see more RP this way and new players would be able get on their feet a little easier with some peaceful and familiar rp. I'm just gonna quote myself because I think most Halflings thought it was a good idea. Halflings are the friendly jovial folk who operate the welcome village near spawn/could temple. We greet new players, provide shelter, along with fun and safe roleplay. Would definitely become an RP hub because of its proximity, would be easy on new players, wouldn't really detract from major nation RP, would not detract from combat RP. I think it's a perfect solution. You're welcome.

Shift's burrow looks fantastic, but it's a bit huge for even a bigger burrow. I for one think we should go with this burrow design: But I mean Aris' first idea is cool too

shiftnative 3103 Share Posted October 28, 2013 You could have bigger burrows if you lived in communal homes, 3-5 Halflings to a home or somethin'
Aislin 4354 Share Posted October 28, 2013 The main reason I'd suggest the Halflings live on the Cloud Temple Island is because you guys will be completely safe from violence and raids and villains entirely. Which has really screwed you guys up in the past, but it also made the Halfling areas uneventful and not a lot of people went there. This would be a great way to make sure players RP with the Halflings, peacefully, and teach the new players. It's mutual coexistence.
Major Tom 139 Share Posted October 28, 2013 #posco'sburrow2013 it's funny cuz Aris made that Anyways, I'm thinking we're gonna need a new layout for the new Halfling area. So I gave it a shot cause why not (it might be crap). Green = Forest and Shizz Yellow = Farms and whatnot Orange = Lil' Halfling landmark maybe a statue or something Light brown circle = Big inn (Some one come up with a name for it) Red = Festival Area / Shops Dark Brown Turds = Burrows Grey = Docks Blue dot near the wheat field = Mill/storage area Purple dot near lake = Water Mill/ Place to rent lil boats and fishing rods
