The New Elder

The Halflings sat in a group in the inn, the night turned to day and the floor was covered in frosting and  pieces of celabratory cake. A new Elder had arisen and the soon to be deputy was to be finalized. In their food coma state the hobbits manage to remember that it was indeed Posco Bramble that was chosen as the next Elder.

 

"Fellow 'alflin's o' Lenfarthin'. I' is with grea' pleasure tha' we announce our newes' Eldah who came in a speedy an unexpected decision (no' really). Posco Bramble, ex-deputy will be our new Eldah. Enjoy ya day, there is leftovah cake in the ice bin."

As Nug does his usual routine around Lenfarthing, he takes a quick peep at the notice board, shrugging as he reads over it in a slight hurry.

 

"Ad leezt eet nub ah stoopid Willuwbootom."

Posco chuckles and cheers as he continues stuffing himself with cake.
