  1. ban the usage of nation discords and group chats. Its not perfect, but it will solve a lot of issues that stem from constant ooc organizating of shit. I've seen it work in large rp communities, it does work. Get people to use ingame IC mediums to share IC information and do IC things.
  2. "The rats of Alstion will agree to anything so long as it saves their own skin. Then they shall wait for the crisis to simmer down before resuming their rodent ways. I say enough words. This they have proven. Their signature to anything now is entirely meaningless and should never be taken seriously lest one wishes to be made a fool of again." Sigmar declared as he offered a nod towards the missive.
  3. "The Treaty is broken." Sigmar spoke to Tiberias as he delivered the missive unto his hands. @Tide1 "We were fools to trust that the alstionites would ever honor their words. How now can we ever trust a word of theirs?" He shook his head, and made preparations for the inevitable resumptions of hostilities.
  4. "No one is fooled." Sigmar chuckled as he read the publication adorned with coinflipping backpeddling. "Surely the ONLY person from Aaun who had attended the meeting safe for the boy king and whom had stormed out with him, could not possibly have been the one to write the earlier piece." Voice dripping with sarcasm. He set the paper down before he shakes his head. "If you have something to say, say it. Stop hiding." He sat and mused, lighting the old cigarette and smoking from it before speaking again to the one besides him. "Bah.. Wont be hard to find out eitherway, that man's land contains maybe a few occupants at most. A simple investigation."

  6. Sigmar stood outside the monastery, having not seen Jan leave it. He ponders. "Strange magics they use.. Alas, that they would dissiminate this right after leaving the place? Speaks of cowardice." So spoke he towards Calias who had stood besides him outside. @Orlanth "Cowards make for craven kings, and it seems the boy is no different than his father after all."
  7. I was not there for that specific raid. But i will say such. I will welcome any rule changes that make defense harder, mainly because i believe such will help filter out paper tiger nations. Ultimately, if you cannot rally people to defend, then that is game. It's a good thing. It should be hard for a nation with smaller rallies to defend, because then they are encouraged to work under other nations. The levy system worked for the feudal age to defend forts, perhaps nations in LOTC wil veer towards such.
  8. An aging, broken man reads the missive, seated atop a long flight of ruined stairs. His eyes were glued upon the final sentences. Weary gaze drifted away from the parchment, towards the ruined city of Winburgh, down below him. He stared. Justice denied for one, but granted for others.. The wind blew through the hollowed walls and buildings of his childhood home, it howled as though the very city itself was wailing, crying.. Begging to be avenged.
  9. "Good riddance. They should investigate charles's brother as well, that Enswerpian Welp." Canonius commented as he read the missive, glad that Callahan's fleeper truth seeking aura had sniffed out the corrupt soul that the Cardinal was. "I wonder if Tiber will be so eager to mount up and chase that man down now that he is anathema and excommunicated.. No.. Who am i kidding. The aunnies only care about divine justice when it is convenient to their ego after all." A passing glance was offered towards the great tabernacle, the altar of god at the top of the stairs of the great temple bastion of Saint king Caius. The scenes of yore playing before his eyes, the whip of the angel, the searing of the flesh and that holy blessing, to have been made closer to the lord in heaven in this moment of sacrifice. Alas, the great work continued, and so the man departed.
  10. "What a rotten kingdom. They would call themselves Apostolic, what a sickening joke." Sigmar comments as he reads the so called confession. "God have mercy on the little folk, the workers and the peasants, for truly they are lead by headless, shameless chickens for rulers."
  11. ¸literally this. Get people to sit down and design an actual ttrpg style combat system that makes sense for LOTC. You will kill all dumb crp arguments.
  12. Sigmar looks upon the parchments of collected data. A finger lowers to point towards a portion of it. A sigh escapes his lips, and soon he grabs ahold of his weapon, readying to join the others who are on the march. The war was on. The Era defining struggles, the climax of three centuries of feuds.
  13. Issue is when you have people who WANT to win, and others who REFUSE to lose. Consent is not given. In such a case, it is very rarely given. What then? You just dont..? Okay, then you go on and rp with the few people walking around who would be fine with it.. That's rather limiting to be honest. If you want to roleplay tea parties every day with no conflict whatsoever, you could simply refuse to consent to any kind of conflict. Where does the line end? It just feels like it would create a lot more issues rather than fix them. What you describe is something that would make sense in a small server that is played on by a dozen or a dozen and a half people who all mostly know one another. It's not viable in LOTC where you have hundreds of characters. Nor should it be, in my opinion. Conflict is and has always been apart of the server, and because the stakes are so high, it is more often than not, "unwanted". It's just not the kind of server that LOTC Is.
  14. An aging burgundian Landsknecht sits upon a far northern cliff side, smoking a Rauchsturm Cigarette while reading the missive which had found itself betwixt his digits. A hoarse chuckle escapes his lips, a passing memory of decades old images, that of the white tree and the one who had stood beneath it. He coughs a few times and clears his throat before crumpling the missive.
  15. realistically, Defender default is a compromise. Most of people's worries revolve around getting tossed around by pvp goons, but people fail to realize that if a pvp goon pulls up and attacks you, as the defender you can just call CRP and CRP your way out of the fight lol. The choice is given to the defender, which imo is the one who isnt slated to be guaranteed to have the time to spend on a 4 hour CRP fight. So it is best that they are given the choice of quick or slow. If you play a villainous character, and you run around attacking people, you should be ready to spend the time on CRP if the one you attack calls for it. And Vice versa. I genuinely dont understand why people believe it to be a bad thing. The only way you would make this even more of a compromise would be by adding some of the rp elements into the pvp, like a magic plugin and what have you, but considering that has been in the works since forever. (an ancient orc vs haelunor warclaim was delayed to wait for the magic plugin) It's likely not ever gonna happen, unless Tythus decides to pay his devs like most big servers do. Yes, this is becoming a rant about paying devs. Because theres no way you will justify charging 500 USD for a bold yellow name but somehow cannot afford to compensate the devs on a per plugin basis LOL.
  16. I would honestly rather jump into a pool of bees than ever have to trace all the vassals haense and aaun have.
  17. We are back at it again. Some of you who are old like me, might remember the days when i made one such maps for Atlas. Well here it is again. Bare in mind, this is never going to be 100% Accurate, though if i got something egregiously wrong, feel free to DM me on Discord: Haseroth Disclaimer: I know some islands are missing, i dont care. This map combines tile borders and INRP territorial claims to bring a mix of the two. It involves a lot of interpretation both on my part, and the part of those delivering land claims. I intend to update this at least twice a month, to keep up with the changing tides, so feel free to DM me if you have a change you wish to submit! Also, Flemish did NOT pay me money to make the Haense borders this big. The Maps: 1989 Edition 1991 Edition
  18. My two cents as someone who has been on this server since early vailor: Either add a proper and documented, mechanical combat system for CRP. or Let the defender decide. Because ENFORCED crp default is boring as hell as it stands. Do not get me started on the crp lock.
  19. Sigmar sat atop his trusty horse, Betsy VII. He peered down at the missive as he furrowed his brows, a waldenian cigarette in mouth. "I hope not." He declared afterwards.
  20. A mercenary was hard at work in a basement, hacking away at logs of wood to make ready for the great struggle which was to come. A glance was offered towards the missive, nothing surprising. "This is what came of John I's legacy.." He mutters before getting back to work.
