For the first time since her youth, she stopped to smell the roses and her gaze settled over the city that she could see from the cliffside. It was a great concept that unfortunately was made like that because of lore games and the constant abuse from conjurationists in the past abusing tf out of redlines. The Arcanic Court Expansion and New Beginnings Established in 1864. The Arcanic Court was founded upon the principles of offering governance of the realms a way to protect themselves from magical-related threats and the unknown. Established in 1864 it was most known as the Arcanic Court of the Empress, starting out as a humble group of magi that are dedicated to the betterment of the realm through enhancing the mundane in a way that would not damage the world. This mission still stands today, with the passing of Empress Anastasia I comes a change in direction for her Empire and the Arcanic Court. The Arcanic Court of the Empress will continue on and expand into a new directive of the mission which was first set for like minded mages by Anastasia I and Valyris Wynasul. Under the name which is simply the Arcanic Court, mages of this organization will be welcomed from all over the realm to tackle threats and provide assistance to those that need it when dealing with otherworldly issues or advisory. “There is an intricate balance in all things, magic is no exception. There are several focuses of the Arcanic Court, the defense against voidally-inclined threats, research and development of otherworldly knowledge, and to enhance the world around them. Within the court, there is quite the mobility for mages of a wide variety of paths to practice their gifts in a welcomed space amongst the upper echelons of society. Court Disciplines Scholars of the Arcane The path of being a scholar regarding the arcane is one that is highly respected amongst most magi, inside and outside the court. Those that focus on that of knowledge are ones who dedicate most of their time to researching magic, creating enchantments, writing books, and ensuring that the information the court has is the most up to date there is available. The duties under the knowledge discipline are that of meticulous study and applications of said studies. Arcane Wardens Defenders of the mundane, the Arcane Wardens act as trusted advisors and protection against the magical to the governments and individuals of the realm who seek their aid. The responsibilities of the Arcane Wardens include being that of battle mages, utilizing enchantments and spells to their combative advantage, yet under strict oath to not bring harm to the innocent. These magi hunt down creatures of the dark, wayward mages, and creatures that are deemed too dangerous to be kept in this realm. Arcane Artisan Those which follow the path of an arcanic artist are the creatives of the court. They use their abilities to enhance the mundane around them and provide vivacity and vibrance where there is a falling behind of such within the world. These mages spend most of their time in the smithy, the atelier, and Arcane Sanctum, often alongside those researching, to create enchantments and enhancements to that which lacked such previously. Tenets of the A.C.E. i. Do not use your magic to cause harm to innocents. ii. Do not dabble in the arcane recklessly and without thought for its effect on the world. iii. Court Positions High Magus The High Magus oversees the Arcanic Court and acts as the final regarding matters of the mystical and strange that the court works on. Duties of the High Magus are that of ensuring the court is well-facilitated and those of the Arcane Council are keeping up with their duties. The High Magus acts as head of the Arcane Council. The current High Magus is Valyris Wynasul [@Cepheid_] . Arcane Council The Arcane Council is composed of three members, chosen to head each discipline with great care. Each of these magi facilitate their disciplines tasks and are responsible for the mages they chose to be a part of the court. They assist the High Magus in decisions regarding the Arcanic Court and important matters of the arcane that should be addressed. An Open Letter to the Mages Guild To Expose Hypocrisy of the Fellow Magi Published: 13th of Tobias's Bounty, 1866 MAGI OF THE MAGES GUILD- Have you no shame for the harm which you had planned to wrought onto this realm? It is the duty of each and every one of us that takes up the power of the otherworldly to use it to protect this realm. Yet, it has been discovered of your plans to unleash voidal tears onto the realm to experiment on. First, you planned on releasing a rift within the world within the lands of Elvendom, and yet when such was exposed you back down and apologize seeing nothing wrong with your actions. The Archmagus Eliza and three other of your mages have confirmed being privy to such information. Have you no shame for the hypocrisy of breaking your own creeds that your centuries old founders had established? You claim to have banned the use of opening voidal tears, yet it is your own actions that have caused this. Your irresponsibility and negligence of using the void so frivolously for your own experimentation is not to be so easily hidden by your missives sent out only due to being confronted. Have you no shame for the tarnishing of the land that you planned to bring about? The opening of the voidal tear even on a small scale could bring about blight, endless negative effects on the environment as seen by the creation of the Voidal Hollow.
