  1. /sigh/ Then allow me to give the nons-snarky response in that magic for sure needs a buff. While it already has power to be as destructive as a musket, as it will take just as many emotes to do, and have around the same accuracy, I agree that if you have the power to summon/bend the world to your will, you should be seen as a powerful figure. T5 Magic attacks usually take around 3-4 emotes anyway. Flintlocks would take around this as well. Accuracy would be on a roll obviously and take around the same. Though at the end of the day, this truly does boil down to a community vs community debate and what everyone may consider fantasy. Humans have zero special qualities. Zero. Sure the dwarves you could argue have it tough as well, though at least they have easier Golem access. Humans have needed to create things out of thin air such as a complex law system and as close to real-life government systems in order to be intresting. Guns would have around the same effectiveness as magic, and because of this I would agree that magic probably would need a buff. As well as give a siege method of magic. However if those things are done, I see zero reason why humans couldn’t get guns.
  2. Here is my thing, despite magic itself being incredibly boring and useless, to the point where people aren’t even scared or amazed by it anymore in roleplay, humans can’t even learn it properly. Humans live incredibly short lives, and while getting T5 in any magic takes around 20+ years, it will leave the user with a physically weak body. Humans legit are stuck to only doing slice of life roleplay. There is zero inventing that we can do without hitting a techlock, and opening up flintlocks is the only viable option for us to move forward. This isn’t even a debate at this point, it should be straight facts that someone has re-discovered the uses of gunpowder if we legit just raided a fort with grenades and explosive powder in it. Ridiculous.

  5. +1 Been wanting their to be more dark creatures added, this looks promising! Can’t wait to fight some Frost Witches and Dreori!
  6. LOTC will always have a sour taste in my mouth by how they treated you sometimes, they claim to be the best roleplay server yet will always hate you for things you did in game. Something I’ll miss you for is how you never failed to be a positive person, and someone who didn’t bring roleplay problems into real-life. It’s been real homie ?
  7. Agree, and this also ties into the fact that from now on, to be a legitimate fortuneteller you would need to put in a magic application in order to use any of the powers he’s stated.
  8. Hey Korvic I know a lot of other players have shared the same thought in this thread but thanks a ton for everything you’ve done lately to help the server out. It means a ton to older players and new players such as I that their is a staff member as dedicated to this project as we are to playing it.
  9. Tovelm of Morsgrad thinks fondly on the times when the night sky is the only compass he had to follow. Tovelm had been taught how to read, write, and speak multiple forms of language in his time in Arcas, and he always wanted to learn more about what he can see. The sky is the limit of what we can see, might as well learn to read it as well. ((mcname: Arundlt)) ((discord: cobbler#0001)) -Name: Tovelm of Morsgrad -Age: 29 -Relevant Experience: Though by pure accident, Tovelm had used the stars to guide himself to Morsgrad. He pushes himself to learn more about the world around him so he isn’t a bother to anybody.
  10. This doesn’t give anyone a chance to defend themselves. Not like the mods/admins don’t talk among themselves though if a mod had a personal vendetta against a player what stops them from using this system to get it? Surely a moderator’s word is worth more than just some new user. Unless you want to message the defendant as well, which just makes this the same as a report.
  11. I agree with that the moderators want proper RP, and the moderators gave him a warning to fix it, so he went and did it. To wait an entire month before increasing his punishment? Right before a giant break for everyone? Not to mention that it’s not a bad analogy since warning actually count towards you. Why was this case revisited so long in the future? He had done so much since then that was positive for the community.
  12. Wish is even more of a reason to see how this case is absolute bullshit lmao. Imagine if Deandre Ayton, who just served a 25 suspension for using PEDs in the NBA made it into the finals, though just before the finals started the NBA gave him another 25 game suspension because they thought the old suspension wasn’t long enough. If Deandre had no other infractions how is that fair? How does that make any sense in the slightest? You could put this is almost ANY situation at all and still makes zero sense.
  13. Wasn’t even the admins as you can read from the screenshots, it’s a general moderation ban. In a normal setting, a case isn’t revisited unless there is evidence of another incident. If someone commits theft he is brought to court and given a punishment, whether it be community service, a fine, etc. The case isn’t revisited after for no reason. The case however can be brought back if he commits another crime, which Stefan hasn’t done. Stefan has done nothing but show more and new RP.
  14. You understand that he was warned for the incident right? He received his punishment for what he did. The fact that it was revisited is absurd if they don’t have evidence of an incident after that.
  15. Tovelm would laugh “At the speed the AIS captures and needs to ransom Oren troops, we needed to make a format for how we do things. Makes things easy to read and understand. That way Oren can read it everyday and understand who they are buying back.”
  16. The fact that the case is being brought up after being given a punishment is absurd. You were given a warning and your character was executed in game. If there isn’t any evidence of an incident coming up after that then you should be unbanned. Not to mention why is someone like Grool handling this case? He plays persona’s in the Oren Faction, which is an enemy to the one that Stefan is in. Kind of disgusting that this sort of thing is happening so close to Christmas break as well. I know I am biased as someone within the AIS faction though I wouldn’t want something like this to happen to someone in the Oren faction. It’s unfair, unjust, and terrible timing. He can’t even put in an appeal for another two weeks, which is passed Christmas into January. Once he is able to appeal he will one hundred percent be unbanned due to this being a ludicrous case in the first place. Extremely disappointed.
  17. Tovelm would read the missive and place it aside making note that people are fleeing the Wildlands in search for safer places. “It seems we may have more people coming to Moresgrad, we shall welcome them with open arms”
  18. Really cool and seems you put a ton of thought into this, though I agree it needs to be simplified a little bit.
  19. Having read the paper, Tovelm would gather a small troop of men and head out
  20. Tovelm would be informed by his fellow soldiers that another mission had been posted and he would grab some bodies to go and complete it.
  21. God speed you beautiful bastard

Jakob Flameforge Born in Sutica to a his father, Lurkic Flameforge II, a mediocre smith that had made his living making small metal parts for the ships of Sutica. Jakob’s mother had died while giving birth to what would be Jakob’s sister who passed as well during the process. This led Lurkic Flameforge to a life of regret and sorrow. The Flameforge name was once an iconic name in Arcas known for their exemplary work on the weapons during the founding of the coastal city. Jakob Flameforge lived the life of a noble during his childhood as his family name alone got him access to premier education and training within the city. Lurkic Flameforge wanted his son to be renew the family name and take up the mantle of being the finest smith within the city. Jakob on the other hand hated smithing. Jakob while being extremely talented, was drilled into by his father at a young age that if he wasn’t the best at this craft then he would have no purpose. Jakob eventually finished schooling and his apprentice work with the local smiths and thought that his life of confinement within the walls of Sutica would soon be over. The constant belittling from his father about his work and the teachings of Canonism, that would do nothing but bore him to no end. When he made it home one evening he found that city guards were dragging his father from the house. He would be told that his father, Lurkic, had amassed a lump sum of debts to the city by not paying taxes. Jakob’s father screamed and kicked as he was dragged out the door but Jakob felt no emotion. Jakob asked the city treasury and how much would be needed to pay off the debt and the city guards only answer was the house that he lived in. As the only way of payment for the debt he accepted as his father had no money and would serve a shorter jail sentence. This would come to be meaningless as his father would die to illness in jail. Two years after this incident Jakob Flameforge now lived in his own hobble of a home making the same iron trinkets and metal fittings for ships as his father once had. His hair now raggedy and unwashed as his old lifestyle would seem lavish compared to what he had now. The slums of Sutica surrounded him, tiny shops of fake jewelry and junk lined the corners. His daily regiment was to bring the iron fittings of yesterday to the pier and drop them off for inspection and receive payment. The inspector would complement his work as it was by far the best coming into the pier, though others would laugh and point at Jakob as his namesake was now run through the ground. The Flameforge name now fitting makers? He go to bed every night thinking this would be the rest of his life until one day when he was approached by a small group of dwarves within the city. They offered him a chance of a lifetime. To come with them to Helena and try to restore his namesake, all for a small entry fee. They sold him on the fact it was all just to cover for his travels. He agreed and sold his belongings and paid the fee the dwarves had set for him. As the first time leaving the city he was excited and quickly made his way outside the main gate to meet his new found dwarven partners, dreaming of the city of Helena as he had only seen it in paintings during his schooling. The wait soon got longer and longer and he thought he might as well wait inside the city for them, they must be late. He was met by the guards who asked him what he was doing trying to get entry. He told them his name, Flameforge, they both laughed stating the Flameforge name was famous and the man in front of them was a bum, they turned him away. Jakob soon realized what had happened and started walking away from the city he had always known. As the walls got smaller and smaller and the smell of the ocean that had grown so accustomed to left his nostrils he almost had a smile on his face as this was the start of a new life for him. His own Adventure.
