  1. Removed until there is a fix? So in other words they will be gone forever
  2. Literally what is the point in this thread, honestly? We all know change is needed but the staff don't give a **** and won't ever make the changes needed so might as well close the thread
  3. anyone know when pmc page is finally getting its update since its already 2 maps out of date!
  4. "So the degenerate pagans of Norland have gone from claiming that GOD was transformed into an egg to trying to murder our priests, despicable. Something should be done about them." remarked Father Basil Moroul.
  5. Acolyte Basil Moroul, still praying for deliverance and answers to his unexplained barring from priesthood, makes a note to add Archbishop Benedict to his prayers. "I shall pray for his health and well-being." he remarked.
  6. Acolyte Basil Morul sits firmly in his seat within the tent filled with chaos and rushed proceedings as the clergymen suddenly begin to make an outcry over his validity and presence at the meeting. Surely somebody had ought to notice his white acolyte vestments when he entered the meeting and put forward his proposals, surely this mistake was simply down to the speedy and chaotic council hurtling forward in time for the Pontiff’s next papal bull. After receiving news that his ordainment was paused for supposedly voting in the council he rose from his seat to address those present. “Good brothers, I am most confused why there is trouble now, on the final day of this council, for I have been sitting here for several speedy and rowdy days with the rest of you - surely my acolyte robes are a give away to you all. I attended the meeting as I was informed that all members of the church were invited to attend and have their input and put forward proposals for the Pontiff to consider. That is all I did, I put forward four proposals for the Pontiff to consider and he put them forward to be voted on, all fine within canon law under Book 1, Title II, 5.8. I am confused why some of you present are making the claim that I have voted on the proposals presented before us but as you can all see in the tallies I have not, I am thusly unsure why my ordination and progress into the priesthood has been halted for voting when clearly I have not. I do pray that their Graces present are not saying that the opinions of laymen and acolytes are less worthy of merit than their own.”
  7. I'll be honest, this post ultimately will have no result and things will remain the same as they always do.
  8. There's no ruins anymore, there's no exploration, event sites as most event sites are jumped on by a nation or restricted to certain groups. Its literally warp to hub, go to city then tavern rp for the rest of your days, nothing really happens. There are no quests or something that would get people having fun as you seem to need constant staff approval to do even the littlest of things. Though I doubt this thread will do much but have them offer promises of change which ultimately will never be delivered upon. Also to add into the ct warps to hubs, it is confusing for new players to decide where they want to go. They don't know what each name or flag means, what they really want to know is what place is the human place, where do the dwarves live and stuff like that.
  9. "How do you mean, Abbot? Do you mean to say that a sitting Pontiff is able to nullify a vote of rebukement, if that is what you meant when you said deposition. I could simply be confused though if what I believed you said is what you meant then that has no precedent in canon law." said Basil Moroul to the Abbot.
  10. Brothers, I have a few proposals which I wish to add to this ecumenical council before I respond to the proposals already made by the Pontiff. Firstly I propose that any mention of the punishment of interdiction be removed from canon law. This is because I believe it is immoral and wrong to prevent the clergy from performing canonist rites to specific individuals unless they are excommunicated. I also believe it to be wholly unprofessional and abhorrent to place these measures on entire nations, cities or places due to the sins of their leader. The Holy Mother Church should not restrict its activities and rites given to the canonist populace just because a leader might be a sinful man or woman, it is wrong. Secondly I have recently seen in the most recent papal bull that his Holiness wishes to reinstate tithes and I disagree with this measure to fill up the churches coffers. I propose that any mention of tithes be removed from canon law as it is wrong to tax the faithful simply for doing our God-given duties. I do not preach and spread the word of God in hopes of being paid, and I would pray that my fellow clergy does not do the same. Donations and selling materials in shops is how the church should gather its funds, each diocese should be in charge of its own funds also. We should all follow his Eminence, Cardinal Benedict’s footsteps and activities like the fish fry. I believe it wrong to tax the faithful for being in their cities, because that's what a tithe is - tax. Currently there are no defined laws around the way in which a rebukement of a sitting pontiff may occur and the procedure around it to avoid a pontiff taking retaliatory action against cardinals who would vote to rebuke him. I propose the following is added into canon law under Title II - Constitutional Hierarchy of the Church, in its own chapter. Chapter 6. The Rebukement of a sitting Pontiff I. In order for the rebukement process to begin the Auditor of the Tribunal must open a public inquiry into the alleged crimes or reasons that may warrant his removal from office. This is an inquiry not a trial A. Any who wish to provide evidence to an inquiry of rebukement may do so without fear of repercussions or defrockment from a sitting Pontiff B. A sitting Pontiff can not issue orders barring his clergy or general populace from attending this inquiry or testifying C. Once the Auditor of the Tribunal has opened a formal inquiry into alleged crimes, or justification for rebukement, the Pontiff may not remove the Auditor until the inquiry and subsequent vote, if it is warranted, is concluded. D. A sitting Pontiff may not defrock any member of the clergy for testifying at an inquiry. II. If as a result of an inquiry the Auditor of the Tribunal deems it fit to argue the case for rebukement before the college of cardinals than he may do so freely without preventative measures taken by a sitting Pontiff. III. If the Auditor of the Tribunal should become ill, incapacitated or die during this process than the Vice-Chancellor will stand in for him. IV. Once the Auditor of the Tribunal has made his case before the college of cardinals they may vote on whether to rebuke the Pontiff or not, this must be a unanimous decision. A. If the Auditor of the Tribunal deems it fit that a vote of rebukement must happen then all cardinals are obliged to vote, none can abstain. B. During the process as the case is presented by the Auditor of the Tribunal and during the vote of rebukement, the Supreme Order of Exalted Owyn must act as a neutral force and guard the proceedings from any who would interrupt. V. If the vote of rebukement fails than all shall be as before however a sitting Pontiff may not defrock, demote or excommunicate the Auditor of the Tribunal or any member of the college of cardinals for voting disfavorably against a sitting Pontiff. VI. If the vote of rebukement passes unanimously than the sitting Pontiff must resign his papal throne immediately and may issue no decrees, papal bulls or any writing that would go against the decision taken by the college of cardinals. A. Once the sitting Pontiff has resigned his seat he will thus be declared Pontiff-Emeritus. B. After the resignation of the sitting Pontiff the church will declare a state of sede vacante and the college of cardinals will once more convene at the behest of the Auditor of the Tribunal to elect a new Pontiff. C. The previously sitting Pontiff may not put himself forward for election for the remainder of his life. C. During the state of sede vacante the authority of the Supreme Order of Exalted Owyn transfers to the Auditor of the Tribunal to ensure a smooth transition of power, once a new Pontiff is elected the authority will return to its holder. VII. If it is the wish of the Auditor of the Tribunal to begin proceedings for a prosecution for the alleged crimes of the Pontiff-Emeritus, then he may do so My final proposal is for an addition to be made to Canon law that will outlaw the practise of selling indulgences. I do pray that no clergymen may ever fall so far from grace and begin performing this but canon law is universal and prevents any from doing so in the future. I believe the practise of selling indulgences is extremely heretical because it is, in no uncertain words, selling salvation. Salvation can not be bought with coin or conspiracies but with love for God and penance. ✠ Now that all of my proposals have been made I will reply to the proposals already made by Owyn the third. I shall begin with sections I and II to simply say that these are unnecessary additions to make and have us vote on because no mandate is required to change canon law, an ecumenical council is and his Holiness may call an ecumenical council to reform canon law provided that at least three quarters of the entire clergy are present and cast their vote for or against the proposals made. Also, the names of each diocese usually depends on their location such as Providentia and should not be made permanent. Section III seems interesting though I am most confused why the additions that he intends to make have not been presented to us so before we can vote on this I believe that the changes he will make if this is approved should be shown to us. With section IV I agree with some of my fellow clergymen present, that the criteria for sainthood should not change simply for the sake of change but those saints with only one miracle be deeply evaluated. For the saints with only one miracle we should delve into their history and search for any other miracles that can be attributed to them. Now onto section V of Owyn’s proposals, this one regarding sedition which I find most confusing. I do not see the requirement for this to be added to canon law as there are already laws against sedition and all canonists accused of a crime in canon law should have a right to have a trial and not immediately face excommunication. Excommunication is not a tool that we should use with so little affect. This also sets a dangerous precedent wherein any cardinal who expresses their wish to rebuke any sitting Pontiff or any who vote in favour of rebuking a pontiff might be charged with this crime and face immediate excommunication. This law allows for a sitting Pontiff to punish his cardinals for invoking their right to rebuke a sitting Pontiff and I do not believe this is acceptable as rebukement is very clearly set in canon law. I shall skip section VI, VII and VIII and move straight onto section IX. I believe what is proposed here is very dangerous and shows a great distrust between his Holiness and the judges that hold trials in canon law. His Holiness should trust the abilities and judgement of his judges lest why is there a point in them to begin with. If his Holiness does not wish for his judges to make judgements that are not acceptable to him then why have them to begin with. Judges should act independently and give a fair judgement else the whole trial process is a complete and absolute farce.
  11. "Peculiar however, are there any miracles attributed to Vytenis?" asked Basil.
  12. Acolyte Basil Moroul sends in his answer. "With God's Favour."
  13. "I do truly believe in order to guide those out of sin we must beseech them and show them the good path to virtue. Offer them penance, charity, kindness, pity and understanding - publicly humiliating them only drives them away from the church." said Basil Moroul.
  14. "Whilst some would find this drama amusing, is it the job of the mother church to offer those who have lost their ways to lust and promiscuity a way out and confession so that they may repent instead of publicly humiliating them. Our role is to guide those who have fallen astray not humiliate them insofar as they will never seek our guidance for fear that you will publish the contents of confession." said Basil Moroul.
  15. Above is an artist’s depiction of pagan norlandic All-Fatherists preparing to hang a nun from the walls of the holy city of Judeburg after raiding it, 1st of the Deep Cold, 1660. -----------------------------------------------------------------✠✠✠----------------------------------------------------------------- Response to Caedric 3rd of Msitza and Dargund, 356ES 3rd of Harren's Folley, 1803 Karosgrad On the 4th of the Grand Harvest, 1638 decided to venture out of their mountainous city of the Krag and launch a suprise invasion upon the capital of the Orenian empire, Helena. The imperial forces were unable to fully mobilse in time to prevent the attack and were outnumbered, as a result they were defeated. The pagans began to ransack the city and desecrate its church, however unbeknownst to the invaders, the city had already come under control of Aurelius I. Immediately upon realising this the norlanders hastily tried to take back what they had done and retreated from the city that they had tried to claim. Alas Aurelius did not wish to allow for the pagans' desecration and invasion to go unpunished so he united the entirety of the canonist realm and turned the side of the war, begining the third crusade. Each battle after that the norlanders lost miserably and the end result was that their city had been taken by canonist forces and they were forced to vassalise under Aurelius. Ever since their humiliating defeat in the third crusade the norlandic pagans have been continuously trying to discredit the Canonist church, sew dissent and turn the faithful away from god to join their heretical religion. It seems Caedric still wishes to continue its nation’s tradition of, as the laymen say: ‘talk big, get humiliated’. He recently penned a letter to me trying to push the absurd claim that God was dead, an absolutely ludicrous claim - I know. I penned a public response to this highlighting several parts of the holy scrolls (God’s words and teachings to us) and explained why it is impossible for God to be dead. Sadly Caedric seems to be suffering from some mental disorder for he seems to have started fervently believing his own mad delusions for he tried to claim that God was transformed into an egg and that the egg was shot and destroyed by a single ballista bolt. Oh I do truly weep for the mentally inept and pray that Caedric receives the help that he needs when he is placed into a home for the mentally challenged. He tried to make the claim that our holy scrolls and mere fabrications and that his religion is the only true one. I beg to differ for if he tries to assert that the only true religion consists of dancing around a burning tree, he is very very sick. The norlanders seem to believe that God is just some bearded man sat aloft in some cloud somewhere, but this simply makes their delusions clear for all to see because this could not be far from the truth. The Lord has many powers and abilities, in fact his abilities are unlimited (he can do whatever he likes.) There is no higher being than God himself and nobody has power or authority to him, he answers to nobody. It is impossible for a mere aengul, or even Iblees for that matter, to transform God into a physical egg. I don’t believe, dear readers, I need to explain how crazy the norlanders are for using this to try and convert canonists into their fire-dancing cult. I weep for those who are weak-willed and weak-minded enough to fall victim to their persuasive tactics to convert to their religion of delusion and dancing around a burning tree. I do urge the norlandic common folk to place Caedric into a home to tend to his mental deficiencies and delusions. God can never be killed. God was not turned into an egg. Caedric is delusional. If Caedric ‘The Delusional’ and his norlandic ruffians do not cease this blatant attack on the Holy Mother Church and its instition I urge for the canonist leaders of the realm to take action, before canonists fall astray due to their deception, trickery and hysteria. 16. "That is the list of Owyn's crimes." Is muttered back to him.
  17. [!] Across the lands, an unsigned missive would spread by the hands of the Skeptics of Owyn. Be it found before it was torn off of a tavern bulletin, from the hands of a believer, or strewn about the lands of Oren and Haense, it would read as follows. [!] Arrest of Cyril Cardinal St. Publius Depiction of Cyril’s detention in the Cathedral of Providence. 12 of the Sun’s Smile, 1803 Fair flock near and far, let it be known that Cyril Cardinal St. Publius has been arrested for simple trespass for giving a sermon in the Cathedral of Providence. Political powers are at play, as one Ed Myre interrupted him to contradict the case against Laurence Pruvia-Albarosa (himself styled as Owyn III) as it was laid bare that he was in violation of Canon Law. Not meant to incite trouble, it was meant to assuage concern, as it disqualifies him from his office and makes necessary the election of a new High Pontiff. This relief was short lived, however. To our fair people’s chagrin, rather than addressing this, one Manfried Cardinal St. Julia had him arrested for being in the Church without his permission. How petty our Church has become, as it persecutes those who seek justice and virtue within the Holy House. Such is another political game, as in Canon Law, all Canonists are allowed access to the Church. What temporal authority the Pontificate held is absent at the moment, as the office is claimed by someone who holds its laws and verdicts in contempt. Let all know that the pretender, Owyn III, not only has brought upon his own ruination, but wishes now to bring it about the entirety of the Church. Unable to assert his own authority, he relies now on secular power to silence the truth of his misdeeds. Take heart though fair people - for if it is not the first trial that our fair Cardinal St. Publius has been triumphant in. For soon, it will not be Cyril’s condemnation, but that wicked Owyn’s that will be brought to light. We fair people of the Canon Church lay bare his own Crimes against Canon Law: https://www.lordofthecraft.net/forums/topic/197696-codex-iurius-canonici-danielus-pontifex-second-edition/?tab=comments Title V, Chapter Two §4. Entry to a church is free and unlimited to the faithful. §5. All acts of worship may occur in a church that has been consecrated. Title II, Chapter One §3. A person who practices dark magics or devilry has committed a crime §12. A person who conspires or attempts to commit a breach of canon law has committed a crime. §13. A person who encourages or commands the breach of canon law has committed a crime. Title II, Chapter Three §4. A person who unjustly prevents a pastor from exercising their authorities or celebrating sacraments has committed a crime. §5. A person who insults or threatens a cleric has committed a crime. §12. A person who misuses ecclesiastical authority for the furtherance of personal interests has committed a crime. Title III §8. Terms of penance are issued as a means of purification and the rectification of the spirit, not as a form of vengeance. Title VI, Chapter Two §1. Those who die are typically judged immediately, and enter either the Seven Skies or the Void, as appropriate. §4. It is forbidden that one who has obtained the clerical state should be returned to life by magic. Let them make their accusations, whilst we make our case.
  18. "I do pray that the Vice-Chancellor will not be expecting the churches followers to pay it a tax for offering services in their city..." said Basil.
  19. "The delusion of the fire-dancers." remarked Basil.
  20. "Sede Vecante." remaked Basil. "I wonder who will be the next pontiff."
  21. "I was explaining to a norlander why he can't be dead or killed." said Basil
  22. An artist’s depiction of an army of aenguls descending from the seven skies to assist his creations in their fight against the Inferi and the daemon Gazardiael -----------------------------------------------------------------✠✠✠----------------------------------------------------------------- Is God dead? 11th of Julia and Piov, 356 ES 11th of Malin’s Welcome, 7 SA Karosgrad Brothers and sisters, today is a solemn day and it saddens me that I should have to pen such a thesis for all faithful already know the answer, alas there are some who need guidance. For at least twenty years now there has been a rumour circulating, mostly amongst groups of magi, paladins and naysayers, that God is dead. I am not sure as to the origins of this dangerous rumour but it has slowly made its way into human nations, silently swaying peoples minds to doubt and confusion. As Saul entered Horen’s camp to sow iniquity and sin, so does this rumour, spewed by disillusioned magi or rampant heretics. One of the Lord’s key attributes is his aseity, and it has been this way since the dawn of creation itself. This means that God exists in upon himself, he exists to be, he is independent entirely and is not dependent on anything for he is the Lord. The Lord’s powers are infinite and immeasurable and none can surpass the strength of God himself, not even Iblees. Iblees, the arch-daemon which came to lead the Lord’s faithful astray, envious of the Lord’s immeasurable power and might. It is important to remember that God made the daemon Iblees, who fell from grace in his envy of his creator, he is referred to as the great deceiver and this is entirely because his most dangerous weapon to all of creation was his deception. Through deception he would lead the faithful astray and as a result tether their souls to the void for all eternity. I weep for the souls who have been entrapped in the void by Iblees but alas he is not an equal to God. God suffers no pain or death for he is simply the divine. If there were any doubts as to the immeasurable power of the Lord then we must turn to the holy scrolls for guidance, as we do with any theological question that may present itself to us, however ludicrous it may be. First and foremost we shall look to the scroll of Virtue for guidance. “I am the Lord God without peer. I separated the world from the Void and placed the lesser and greater lights into the sky, and breathed life into all the beasts of the earth. And I have also breathed life into your heart, and the hearts of your children. And I have given you life: I am your father, and the father of all things. And so I shall guide you in a theater of virtue, and the virtuous shall not live except by My Word.” (Virtue 1:1-7) Here in the scroll of Virtue, in the very first canticle the nature of God is explained. God created all beings in the earth including the aenguls and daemons, they are his servants - not his equals. God has no peer of equal standing or abilities for he is the most powerful entity in all of creation. The phrase ‘I am the Lord God without peer’ is repeated several times in the scroll of virtue therefore we should be of no doubt as to its very clear message, God has no peer. Next we shall turn to the scroll of Gospel for further guidance and clarification. ”But among all the Daemons, the chiefest was Iblees, and he was very proud to reign over his kind. And he doubted GOD’s strength, for it was given to the Daemons to rule what is not. And Iblees desired to rule without the Lord. So he descended the emanations of glory, and drew farther from GOD, until he reached the Void. And lo, he was cursed by its touch. And GOD was wroth. For when GOD bore witness to the bounty of His Immortals, He was pleased. But when He saw the bounty of Iblees, which was sin, He was wroth with the Daemon. And He spoke to Iblees “Why have you done that which I have forbidden?” And Iblees replied “For you name us as servants, and I shall devise of no virtue until I am your equal. And now my touch is the touch of the Void, and it is with all things in your creation.” And GOD was furious, but Iblees would not repent. And he fled into the Void, for he hated the glory of GOD, and by his own will was shackled there from the Lord. And while the other Immortals had pleased GOD with their creation, none had fulfilled His plan, which was interrupted by the sin of Iblees. So the Lord made two bodies of earth, and gave them blood and breath, and the light of wisdom.” (Gospel 1:14-28) In the scroll of Gospel this passage teaches us about the envy of Iblees and the way he came to be. Iblees was created a daemon, like all the rest, only he wished not to follow God and instead desired to be his equal if not better but such could never be possible. Daemons have very limited powers compared to the infinite powers and abilities of God. Iblees could not ever have the power to kill God, nor could any other being. There is no other being equal to our saviour, GOD, for the Lord created no such a being as it is clearly stated within our holy scrolls that he has no peer. No aengul or daemon can ever surpass the powers that the Lord has. So to answer the question, Is God dead? The answer is a simple no because God is unkillable, he suffers no pain and has no peer. There are none who are equal to him. I hope this puts an end to the ridiculous rumour circulating that God is dead and I pray those who propagate these dangerous rumours cease immediately for the sake of their own salvation. Written by Brother Basil Moroul @Qaz
  23. "Does this not include blackmailing somebody to do something that is not a crime?" asked Basil.
  24. To his Eminence Bram, I apologise for the mistake that I have made in my thesis, it was no intention of mine to discount God as the central and divine inspiration or our salvation. I have corrected my error and rephrased the sentence. Once more I apologise for my error. Brother Basil
