  1. Konrad felt a shiver run down his spine as he was briefed on what had happened after the fact. He bid the soldier farewell and lingered within the barracks, though his feet quickly carried him out to the courtyard. From there, he viewed the Hospital of St. Amayas. He remembered the Queen staying with him when he was sickly from the azhl blight. He felt a deep sorrow as the weight of the briefing finally set in. There, in the courtyard, the Lieutenant didn't care that tears were streaming down his face. Alongside this deep sorrow was a sense of relief. Seeing her in her last days, he knew. He couldn't describe it, but he knew. His gaze turning to the sky, he'd murmur. "Rest well, Your Majesty. You've earned the respite.."

  3. There was an aching emptiness in Konrad Stafyr's heart; one that was leftover from the agony of discovering his mentor's dead body. Their time was short together, barely lasting two years. Though it was during these two years that she had taught him some valuable lessons, including learning how to wield a sword. After Konrad had finally been able to compose himself, and they had been able to transport the body, Rosalind and Konrad found themselves in possession of the cloaks that had fallen off the Princess. In his hand, Konrad held the I-Lady Cloak that she had been wearing when she died: the only part of her he had left after she was transported off. To remember her by, and keep her memory close, Konrad would adorn the tattered cloak in her honor. And later, he would keep the letter he'd eventually receive close in his uniform. He would speak a promise aloud to the letter before storing it. "I'll remember your advice.. and training, comrade. I promise."
  4. The Hospital of St. Amyas Recruitment Drive Penned by Euleriphis Roui Tawarenion de Melphestaus Good evening, dear reader. This is Euleriphis Roui, Surgeon General of Haense and many former things. Recently, the hospital has reflected the peaceful qualities of Haense and relaxed for quite awhile. Through some recent events, as well as promising young minds wishing to learn, I have made the decision to announce that the Hospital of St. Amyas will be holding a recruitment drive. If you are someone who has always wished to become a medic, doctor, or even lead your own clinic, then this is the place for you. Here at the Hospital of St. Amyas, we provide multiple methods in which one is able to learn. These include, but are not limited to- One-On-One Classrooms Supervised Learning Similarly, the Hospital of St. Amyas caters to many who may be able to assist with your journey as a medic. We have classes and paths that can lead to the following specializations- Therapist Physicians Herbalist Combat Medicine If you have an interest, please reach out to me, Euleriphis Roui. All are free to come to the clinic during a lesson to listen in, even if you are not working as an apprentice in the clinic. The classes offered this year are as follows- The Basics Basic Herbs Wound and Trauma Treatment Field Medicine Signed, ๐“”๐“พ๐“ต๐“ฎ๐“ป๐“ฒ๐“น๐“ฑ๐“ฒ๐“ผ ๐“ก๐“ธ๐“พ๐“ฒ ๐“ฃ๐“ช๐”€๐“ช๐“ป๐“ฎ๐“ท๐“ฒ๐“ธ๐“ท ๐“ญ๐“ฎ ๐“œ๐“ฎ๐“ต๐“น๐“ฑ๐“ฎ๐“ผ๐“ฝ๐“ช๐“พ๐“ผ {OOC}
  5. Euleriphis Roui's gaze would read over the missive, his curiosity piqued on how such a mindset could be behind these words. He pondered, truly amazed at the situation. The call to the 'sinners,' when one knows exactly what Canonism would do to one. He pondered, who would answer the call? Having lived with the valah for over a century, and seen their ways and methodologies, he knew that he wouldn't. He would gaze at the missive, his gaze turning a rustic hue of glowing copper as the paper would then light into flames in his hand. Having ferrum arms, the elf would only brush the ashes and embers from his hand. His mind made up, he would begin to walk down the path; however, he had forgotten one thing. He closed his eyes, sighing. "...Haus." And it was with that, he would turn himself around, and continue down the path towards the vallah nations. He felt disconnected from them, despite living and operating within them for longer then most valah's life expectancy. The few that he had garnered a care for had died, and the few living weren't as close as they had been. But he still cared about them, and he knew that it was about time to pay a visit once more.

  7. It was true that Roui, the husband to the missing Tawarenion, would spend many hours anxiously waiting. The stress was almost too much for the elf to bear, especially with the recent loss of his brother. Many sleepless nights would be spent as Roui waited for his husband to show up, if he ever did. At night, he'd keep his son close, one of the few things he still had in these times.
  8. Euleriphis would read the missive, before an extended sigh came from the elf. "Damn," was the only thing the elf could find to say, admiring how direct and honest she was.
  9. Many things had startled Euleriphis during this siege. He had felt shivers as a Mori Officer smiled to him, and let him go. But most of all, he felt shivers of an unknown kind. One that became known as he entered Haense and heard the knews. Frost-bitten, and exhausted, he could do nothing but move to the clinic for his treatment. He felt his heart dampen with the news. For the first time in four decades, the elf could actually feel the cold of the North. "We will see each other again, one day, Borsa.."
  10. Name: Euleriphis Roui Tawarenion de Melphestaus Desired Moniker: N/A | TBD Age: 58 Date you wish to compete: Monday, May 8th What are you wishing to compete for: I wish to compete for the sake of knowing and understanding where I would place within this Mageocracy. While I am competent in my skills, I understand that many mages have lived for longer than my bloodline. The opportunity to meet and learn from these mages is wonderful, and it's equally as brilliant to be able to prove myself and potentially be able to guide mages younger than myself as they grow and discover their curiosity for magic, as I did. Alongside this, I also wish to bring a knowledgeable medic to the mageocracy. Justification: As an elf that has decided to live within the human nations for many decades, I have been able to hone my skills as a mage, leader, and combatant quick. Within Haense, I have lived as a Squire, and led as the Second-Highest role within their Brotherhood as a Captain. All of that honed my skills before I inevitably departed to pursue the void and all it has to offer. As time has progressed, I've worked to assist kingdom's such as Haense, Balian and Celia'nor. Furthermore, I have also been able to assist places like Lurin and Vortice. Especially recently, through these sieges, I have worked to assist kingdom's both combatively and medicinally. Currently acting as the Surgeon General of Haense, overseeing the affairs of human's health, I have plenty of successors that can cover my position as I begin furthering my knowledge of the void once more.
  11. The Surgeon General read over the notes, satisfied that a student had taken the time to take such good notes. Gold Star for her.
  12. The Elven Surgeon General would collapse in his cot that night, having spent SEVENTEEN HOURS delivering these children into the world. Though he was glad to have brought such a miracle into this world, and rested easy that night.
  13. The Hospital of St. Amyas New Leadership Penned by Miraโ€™Roui Tawarenion For many generations, the Hospital of St. Amyas has been led under the guise of the Surgeon General. Many have not known the inner workings of the clinic. It is as of this that the arrival of a new Surgeon General has been silent, and its inner workings of creating new leadership has become even more silent. While this missive includes an introduction, I would like to congratulate those that have found themselves within new positions within the clinic. Please provide a warm welcome to these individuals as we move forward with the revitalization of the Hospital of St. Amyas The Surgeon General Miraโ€™Roui Tawarenion The title of Surgeon General has recently been transferred to Miraโ€™Roui Tawarenion, following the leadership of the interim Surgeon General, Ibi. Miraโ€™Roui, also known as Euleriphis or Roui, has served Haense in many capacities. A former Captain of the Brotherhood of Saint Karl, a former Squire, and a clinician of over two decades, he has dedicated himself to assisting Haense in its matters. The Deputy Surgeon General Haus Weiss The title of Deputy Surgeon General has long since gone unused, at least in the public eye. This title is meant to serve as a backup to the Surgeon General, and holds control of the clinic in their absence. They are typically in line to become the next Surgeon General, and that is definitely intended for Haus Weiss, our new Deputy Surgeon General. Haus Weiss has faithfully served the clinic and trained under Miraโ€™Roui Tawarenion for many years. A dedicated member of the Brotherhood of Saint Karl, and prominent figure of the House Weiss of Haense, Haus has shown promise in medicine and leadership. It is with this that he shall take up the title of Deputy Surgeon General. Heads of Specializations The Directory With the introduction of our new specializations in the clinic, we now have the honor of introducing our heads of specializations. The clinic is actively seeking interested individuals in these positions. The Headโ€™s are as follows, and the clinic will keep an updated roster available upon request for anyone interested in specialized services. Head of the Physicians: The Surgeon General, Miraโ€™Roui Tawarenion Head of Therapy: Clinical Advisor, Emma Ludovar Head of Maternity: The Surgeon General, Miraโ€™Roui Tawarenion Head of Combat Medicine: The Deputy Surgeon General, Haus Weiss Head of Herbology: The Surgeon General, Miraโ€™Roui Tawarenion With any vacant position, the Surgeon General is expected to fill in for the position. The Surgeon General invites anyone interested to reach out regarding fulfilling their position of the Head of any Specialization. As the Clinic continues into its era of growth, we kindly invite any interested individual to reach out with any interest one may have. Warm regards and stars guide you, Miraโ€™Roui Tawarenion Surgeon General of Haense
  14. The Hospital of St. Amyas Specializations Penned by Euleriphis Roui Tawarenion de Melphestaus For many generations the Hospital of St. Amyas was able to perform its civil duty of providing care to those who have fallen ill or faced injury. In the previous few years, the Hospital has faced a lull in the medics who have been able to provide this care. These generations previous have been following the same standards of the generations previous to them. As time evolves, so must we. It is with that in mind that the Hospital of St. Amyas shall face a much needed evolution to keep up with these times. We must have many specifically trained for the trials that lay ahead. This shall be done in the route of Specializations. One is able to take up as many specializations as they wish. These specializations will be outlined as follows. -+- Licensed Medic With the introduction of specializations, a new tier of medicine will be introduced. Those who wish to understand the basics of medical practices and be able to assist on a fly can now work in the clinic to become a Licensed Medic. This involves a knowledge of the basics of medicinal practices. This is the first tier anyone aspiring to become a specialist will seek out to ensure they have a basic understanding of medical practices before pursuing further specializations. Physician Physicians have been the backbone of the Hospital of St. Amyas for many generations. They have handled any patient that may present themselves to the clinic. These range from mental health emergencies to assisting in the birth of a child of the new generation. In these specializations, Physicians are the most general of the group, thus leading to the study of becoming a Physician being rather difficult, yet rewarding. Therapy Therapists are specialized in the study and practice of the mind. As Haense continues to face hardships and triumph, many are left with lasting marks upon themselves. Therapists typically work in a one-on-one session per the request of the patient, focusing on assisting them through the thoughts that may plague their mind. This is the newest, and least documented form of practice. Maternity As time continues to push onward, new generations of children and expecting mothers will present themselves to the clinic. Those specialized in maternity will be able to work one-on-one with expecting mothers and continue to work with the mother after her birth to provide optimal care for a child. This specialization requires acute senses, as little ones are difficult to read. Combat Medicine Combat Medicine is both a practice and a state of mind. While someone who practices combat medicine will know how to apply their knowledge on the battlefield, they must also know how to keep themselves and the patient safe so they may apply that knowledge. A combat medic will have an understanding of how to apply life-saving treatment under strenuous conditions. This Specialization will work closely with the Brotherhood of Saint Karl. Herbology Herbalists have always been the backbone to any medic who uses regular herbal pastes like Tippens or Blissfoil. Many life saving treatments are applied through alchemicals, which herbalists are able to find or create. They will also be able to supply alchemical creations or finds to the combat medics and combat personnel, leading to effective efficiency in battle. This specialization requires a myriad of book knowledge and how to apply said knowledge. -+- As these new specializations are introduced, the generic test to become a Physician in the clinic shall be disregarded until further amendment. The requirement to become each tier and specialization shall be up to the respective head of the specialization and approval of the Surgeon General. Should the specialization not have a respective lead, the Surgeon General shall fulfill their spot and train those under it; thus requiring the Surgeon General to have the knowledge to be able to apply and lead each respective specialization. As these specializations are introduced, all are welcome to apply to the clinic to begin their training. Warm regards and stars guidance to you, Miraโ€™Roui Tawarenion Surgeon General of Haense
  15. The elven medic would be sat in his under-construction office in Lurin, reading a missive that had been sent to him via House Weiss. He perked a brow, reading over a few sections before the former-captain took out a pen. The elf began to scribble out 'defendant.' In it's place, he wrote 'Plaintiff.' He would murmur, "The defendant cannot be the one filing the claim, even I know that." He then moved on and continued reading. Now that he had done his revision, he finally read it through. He shook his head, sighing. "What is the legal proceedings of Haense doing these days?" He'd ask, clearly disappointed by the entire situation as he then stood. Filing the revised version of the missive away. He didn't have all of the details, and found himself needing said details. Perhaps a visit was in order.
  16. Roui would read this missive in the hectic surroundings of the meeting. He would narrow his eyes, and sigh a frown coming across his face. He would shake his head, mumbling under his breathe. "The Great Owl.. this missive.. it is all coming together.. that prophecy was true.."
  17. The Serene Silver Clinic Seeking those in need. Greetings, I do hope my missive finds its reader well. In my time as a healer, I have happened upon many places that have required medics for their numbers. Furthermore, I have assisted these places a multitude of times with a helpful hand. No individual deserves to go untreated, and it is with this statement that I would like to open my services to any settlement that shall require my aid. Whether you are just settling or have had a nasty run in with a siege, Iโ€™ll be willing to assist. I will be available for most, if not all, requests that come my way. With the timeโ€™s that are approaching, I will be happy to assist anyone who may request such aid. There will be no fees unless you wish to provide a payment. I will not refuse; however, I will not ask. With Great Tidings, Roui Anarion Supreme Healer of Lurin
  18. Roui would be stood within the clinic, the news reaching his ears rather quickly. Loss was not something the elf was unaccustomed to, but this one hurt. On Roui's hip was his light-weight sabre that was gifted to him from the King himself. He rested his hand upon the pommel, gazing out the entrance to the pretty day outside. He allowed his feet to carry him outside, so that he may stand under the sky. Turning his gaze up, he'd speak in a low voice. Only enough for himself and whoever was up there to hear. "I wish we would've been able to speak one more time. My heart hurts for the loss this Kingdom has suffered, and my heart will continue to hurt with the tone of our last conversation.." After he had concluded, the elf would then allow silence to linger around himself as he made way back into the clinic, breathing some final words. "May you rest well, King Karl III..."
  19. The Serene Silver Clinic Seeking Medics and Healers Greetings from the Serene Silver Clinic, based within Lurin. For a while, the clinic has sat untouched, only used for those dire emergencies that may present themselves within the serene state of Lurin. Under the new guidance of the Supreme Healer, Roui Anarion, that is planned to change. Medical practice is one based on experience. While your books may teach you quite a bit, nothing will get you ready for the trials and tribulations of being a medic like experience and guidance. With the above as reference, the clinic is also opening its doors to apprenticeships of those who wish to learn under the guidance of Roui Anarion. With over a decade of experience working in whichever hospital is closest, there is quite a bit of experience and knowledge that can be passed on. If you are interested, please seek out Roui Anarion in Lurin or send a letter to inquire of an apprenticeship and employment.
  20. Roui de Melphestaus would read the missive, taking a deep breathe as he shook his head. "Someone so beloved will not be missing for long.."
  21. ~x~ "Euleriphis Bough.." A voice called out to the seated elf. A rustle heard before the elf's eyes opened. Around him was a warm forest, a path not too many meters to the right. The sun bore down upon his features as he took the scenery in around him. He had stopped questioning this shift in scenery. As he turned his head to the familiar voice; furthermore, one voice that had stayed familiar after so many years. As he turned, he noticed his hair was shorter, and this discovery lead to him gazing at his arm. It was smaller, less defined. His thoughts were then disrupted. "What are you doing out here?" The voice held it's usual soft tone. The young elf had come to enjoy the tone, as he figured the old man could not hold any anger in his wise tone. The elf spoke in a higher voice than he had heard himself in awhile, standing as he did so. "I'm jus' enjoyin' the weather, papa. Rain's on th' horizon, ya know?" He'd note that he had been sitting with his legs crossed, hands resting on his knees. He'd heard of people that did that for hours at a time, but could never understand why. Perhaps he would know many years down the line. He'd turn his head in just enough time to see the elderly human make his way to him. "I know, Little Bough. Rain's comin', and we need to be on our way." His hand had extended as he spoke, to which the young elf would take the hand. They had been on the road for many years, and always stopped in any town they could for a night in the tavern. Their refreshment night is what they called it. The elderly man took the elf's hand; having already packed, thus they didn't need to go back to their makeshift camp of the morning. Their walking had been something they were used to, and they found many ways to make it a rather fun trip, even if the walk or weather was unpleasant. Today, they were in more of a hurry. They did not wish to be rained on. Though as they walked, and the world above them began to grey, things would become silent. The silence before the storm, the young elf figured. He began to feel his arm become wet. Perhaps the rain had started. He looked up to the sky and spoke, a twinge of excitement in his voice. The young elf loved the rain, and could often be found frolicking in the rain. "Papa, it's rainin'!" He spoke, a grin on his features. There was no response. And the young elf's features twisted in confusion as he turned his gaze to the ground. No sign of rain was on the ground they walked. He shook his head, swearing he was able to hear the drip of rain. The silence of any lack of response hung heavy in the air. "Papa?" He spoke again, beginning to turn towards his father. His gaze moved from the ground, to his father's feet. They weren't moving anymore, and without realizing it, he had stopped moving as well. He took a deep breathe, and his face began to pale. The world began to feel heavy as he heard the source of the 'rain' he had heard earlier. At his father's feet, between himself and his son, was a trail of a dark liquid that no human wished to see. He felt his world begin to disperse, as he turned his gaze up. All he could see was his own bloodied arm, having been connected to his father's by the holding of their hand. The blood shared between their arms, originating from somewhere the elf didn't know. It could be his, or it could be his father's. His head had began to hurt and his world blurring as he couldn't help but let out a blood curdling scream. ~x~ "Papa!" Roui had screamed as he felt the world he had found himself in to dissipate. He stared, blurry eyed at the world infront of him. It had gone dark for a moment, as the elf found himself back in the position he had been in. Sitting on the ground, legs crossed and hands resting down on his knees. He would finally be able to see again as the flame of the St. Amyas Hospital's fireplace. He would close his eyes, the tears falling down to his lap. He shook his head, letting his head hang. He could smell the iron of blood upon his nose, his blood. And when he opened his eyes for a brief moment, he saw that the blood was upon his lap. But when he bat his clothing to try to clean himself, the blood didn't come off nor onto his hands. With a blurry gaze, he would stand and depart from the clinic. His face was pale, and the world around him tinted with the drips of random blood. From walls, to the surfaces and the sky, everything seemed to hold this tint that nobody else could see. "Why..?"
  22. Roui de Melphestaus would hear of these rumors, though he did not worry. He had not bought any Tuvmas gifts. The elf considered himself lucky as he had no gifts to be taken, nor tree to be stolen. He did, however, feel for those that did. And so he flipped off the sky. "Aelnae."

  24. Roui de Melphestaus stood upon the base of the shrine. He held the missive within his hand. For awhile, by the request of a younger Weiss, the elf had searched far and wide for a documented mention of the owl. In his hand, he held the first mention. In libraries far and wide, the owl had gone vastly unmentioned. His hand shook at the revelation of the document in his hand. In his mind, he had the idea to take the missive from the shrine near Celia'nor. Though, he decided against it. Instead, he dropped the missive back where he had found it. In his hand he held his sabre, drawing it and pointing it up to the statue. "Nae ikru'krafeh." He spat his words. "You shall know the name of House Weiss, know their terror. You shall know my name. Nae ito kina." He'd then allow his sword to fall, angling it into his sheath. He'd then turn and begin to walk across the lily pads. Though he paused on one, allowing his ankle to sink into the water as he turned his gaze back to the statue, not giving it the dignity of a full regard of a turn. "Nae beloun."
