Roui would read this missive, and give one of the largest sighs. It could practically be heard in Haense, despite his homestead being outside the walls of the city. "Oh for fu-" Dear reader, I will allow you to infer the filth that came from the elven captain's mouth that evening.
-
A Missive would be posted in various parts of Haense. ~~~ I do hope that this finds you well, dear reader. My name is Roui de Melphestaus, more commonly known as Euleriphis de Melphestaus, and I am a Captain in the Brotherhood of Saint Karl. For many years, I have served Haense and it's people. I have served the Brotherhood and the Knightly Orders alongside being a Diplomatic Ambassador and Medic within Haense. It is through my thirty years of serving that I have come to find the warmth that the Haeseni people have provided; a warmth that can be felt even in the cold of the North. I have even filled in within the Duma as a Military Tribune when called to do so; however, I do not come to you today to run for Military Tribune. I am asking for your vote as I campaign for Grand Maer of Haense. Haense has a history of conflict and triumph, so much so that we were born from conflict. A conflict that has since found it's peace as we press forward in history. Our most recent conflict being the war against the Inferi. For awhile, we have been silenced by tension. Hushed whispers of imposters and rebels among us alongside tensions with those we have come to either make peace with, or triumph over. Now should be a time of celebration and joy, though these tensions have continued to keep us quiet. Haense deserves a Maer that, while fighting for the common man, will uplift them. My promise to those of Haense is that I will protect you, while also making an active attempt to uplift the spirit's that have been so trampled by the recent events of the continent. Festivals amongst other events should be common place, keeping ourselves active and joyful even as we face greater threats. As one Haeseni can fight as many, I will fight for Haense and it's prosperity and joy. I understand this may be a long winded speech of a campaign, though I will not shy away from speaking my mind. For Haense, I would debate and form sentence upon sentence to articulate what needs to be said and done. Vote for Roui de Melphestaus for Grand Maer of Haense. Vote for Prosperity. ~~~

NOMINATIONS FOR THE 454 E.S GENERAL ELECTIONS
MakeshiftFoxxo replied to Office of the Lord Speaker's topic in Royal Duma
Roui would read over this missive. He would consider a few things as he read it over. The world had been quiet for awhile, though there were things to be said and things to be done. The Captain had sat on this for a few days, thinking it over before he finally would send in a missive to those organizing these elections, placing his hat into the ring, but not for what one might expect. -
Roui de Melphestaus, the Elven Captain of Haense, would read over the missive. Something in his mind had blocked off the possibility of this being true. He had read it before it was published and felt a numbness. Perhaps everything that had hinted such a thing to him, among other things further, was truly correct. "No, this isn't what everything has been hinting toward." He murmured, an attempt to assure himself that nothing he believed was true. He turned his gaze across the small, cozy bedroom with a farmland backdrop. Across the far side of the room, the wall was filled with missive's and illustrations among pages of writing. A lot of it jumbled. Some were speaking of the generational pain that had been bestowed upon the elven mind by a paleknight, alongside the pain of many other things yet to come. What these things were, some of the rambling's attempted to decipher. Pulling sources from nowhere, theories driven by nightly hysteria. A daily hysteria driven by the doomsday theories bestowed upon him by the idlehands disease. "No matter, we shall face this with the same resilience that generations before us have held."

Roui would gaze upon this missive. His eyes lit up. The chance for adventure was upon him. He'd bring these criminals to justice, and receive this mina prize. Ne, he'd be a good elf and refuse the payment. The glory of being able to say he brought a criminal to justice would be payment enough. Perhaps he may even be recognized for once in his life by the crown for his deeds, have this situation become a moniker of his dedication to the crown. Thoughts of galore and holiness, proving of the elven man's capabilities of being a Captain of the Brotherhood, swirled within the elven man's head. Or at least, that's what would swirl in his head if he had arms. For now, he just noted the appearance and meandered away. Valor and glory were not in this elven man's future for now.

Upon reading the list, it reminded the Elven Lieutenant that he still had a spear to commission. He appreciated this donation.

~~~ The world was blurry. The darkness of the corridor's the elf had left closed behind him as the scarlet of sundown enveloped his vision. It was all blurry, and the elven man's feet couldn't carry him steadily. His mind was racing, his body oddly still, and his cheeks flushed with the tears he had cried. Through the courtyard and to the bridge, those unsteady feet had carried the elf. There was not a physical injury on his body, only the limp and stumble of a heavy mind. "Seeing one's fate is not for the faint of heart, little one." The voice echoed in Euleriphis' mind as he moved forward. "Do you dare glimpse at what greatness you have to come?" His feet now carried him to the road, and he did not follow it for long. His mind was hazy and his body similarly heavy. In his head was the vivid imagery and feeling of death. Feeling your loss of consciousness, dare he believe his life, in a heavy and immovable embrace is a feeling that one keeps with them. The feeling did not end there. The elf had been enveloped in the oppressive weight of a lucid dream. These were different though, these felt real. These were the dreams of his fate. This was only the surface level, but the vast amount had been jarring. It was a haze; specifically, a haze that stayed in his mind even after he awoke. The dreams were vivid in the moment, a blur once he awoke, and were slowly coming back to him as he walked into the tree line. Despite the slow return of such, it would still be overwhelming to the elf. The memories had the distinct and depressing feeling of death, sprinkled amongst a similar feeling of warmth and comradery. These feeling's of death had began to override any of the warmth, and the elf found his head in his hands. He hadn't made it far into the woods before he had stumbled to the ground. Years upon years of fate; the ever-mixing emotions between warmth and despair, love and hatred, belonging and loneliness, it drove the elven man to tears. A screaming cry as it had all began to come back to him. The next few days were nothing more than running emotions, a claustrophobic mind and quite a bit of alone time in the woods. At times, his breathing felt like it was leaving him in a panic, and at others, it felt like he was too quiet for his circumstances as his mind raced. ~~~
The Elven Staff Farrier read the description of his title, and perked a brow. He'd then just set the missive down and continue with his day. -
"Well, isn't this a surprise." Euleriphis would read through the missive over a cup of tea.
THE 4TH BROTHERHOOD OF SAINT KARL
MakeshiftFoxxo replied to Buffsanta's topic in Kingdom of Hanseti-Ruska
A certain High Elf sat within his room, reading over the new missive. He perked a brow. "Senior..?" He said aloud, reading it over once more. He remembered a friend of his mentioning his hair getting paler, and now his title holding the name of 'Senior.' He was so focused on this that he completely overlooked anything regarding the Medics. After all, he was only twenty-three, had only been there for five years. Surely he wouldn't be considered a Senior. Or were they trying to tell him something? Was his face getting wrinkly? His hair turning silver? Did he just look ugly? A deep breathe sounded within the room, before a feeble sentence came from the young High Elf- "Oh no.. I'm getting old." -
Is the Rejection of Tyranny an Act of Terrorism
MakeshiftFoxxo replied to Knights5544's topic in The Kingdom of Oren
Beauregard found himself reading this paper, a calm sigh sounding from the man as he held the bottom of the paper to stabilize it against the wind. He glanced around to see if anyone was nearby, before sighing and looking back to the paper. "While the words you say are true, Gustaven, you're speaking to the wrong crowd.." And after such, he found himself turning to walk away from the paper, worried of coming off suspicious for reading the paper too long. -
Read the scenario below this box and type out inside of this box how your character might respond. Your response must be at least four sentences long and include at least one action and at least one piece of dialogue surrounded by quotes. Beauregard would look the well-dressed man up and down, trying to be subtle but likely failing. He made note of his attire, which was beyond decent given the state most boat-goers would be dressed in, as well as the surrounding bazaar. He must be one of wealth, would be Beau's first thought. "I'm here for adventure, I'd like to explore this city, and the surrounding area. The name is Beauregard Arkwright, -" His hand would reach up and forward for a shake as he finished his sentence. "- , and yours would be?"
