  1. Love you @Korvic thank you for all you’ve done

  2. Using the auction house is cheesy. It discourages RP on the server and should be removed. Change my mind.

@Rickson OOC trading is still closer to RP than just dumping stuff on anonymous auction house IMO. For example, if two nations are at war, OOC trade is a LOT less likely between them. However, with the AH enemies can just dump stuff onto it and be supplying their enemy without even knowing.

remove minas too and you’ve convinced me

  3. You merely adopted the lag. I was born in it, molded by it. I didn’t see TPS above 15 until I was already a man, by then it was nothing to me but blinding!

For real though, I joined the server over a month ago and the lag has only gotten worse. Late night EST used to be my one safe haven, but now it’s actually worse than prime time. Please fix it soon before I quit the server, this is ridiculous.

  4. Is it too much to ask that the server not **** the bed seemingly every time I have a day off?

  5. Merry Christmas ya filthy animals

  6. @rukio makes me feel unsafe. Are there any lawyers in game that can help me file a restraining order against her?
  7. The exterminator continues to drive his van down the streets of the city in the year 2019 drinking a Pumpkin Spiced Latte blasting Kanye West. Excuse me sir, we’re trying to RP here smh
  8. The foolish rat and it’s fleas should have known that the exterminator would be wearing an airtight uniform, one which the fleas could not penetrate. After all, he IS an exterminator, why would he not be wearing proper exterminator gear? The fleas, in defeat, jumped out of the moving van’s window, hoping that the fall would end their lives.
  9. The exterminator would see the plague bearing rat and catch it with a net. He’d then throw the rat into the back of his van, storing it for later extermination.

    Mines

I figured, too difficult to fix it on this one when everyone basically has massive **** off stockpiles.

    Mines

If people are stockpiling huge amounts of resources without use, then that means that there’s too much supply and not enough demand. The two options to fix this are increasing demand or reducing supply, both have the same effect. The question is, which is more likely to happen and is easier for staff to do? Anything you can grow will always be in ample supply, it’s too easy and requires very little effort. I don’t know the process behind making drugs/alcohol in LotC, but I imagine like real life for the most part they use easily obtainable ingredients. Materials provided at CT rather than the open world, worthless, but it keeps players from having to destroy the world in order to get them. Mineable materials like emeralds, lapis lazuli, and for the most part, gold, are completely worthless. The only materials/goods that have any real value in LotC are land, property (like homes), certain mineable resources like iron and diamond, specialty crafted RP goods, and a handful of goods which are needed regularly like tools, weapons, and armor. So this brings me to the point I’m trying to make; how do you increase demand for these items? Bringing in more players will increase demand, but also supply so that won’t do it. Relying solely on cool expensive RP goods clearly isn’t doing it. So why do you think increasing demand would work? Think of the LotC staff as the Federal Reserve, and instead of printing the US Dollar they print resources and mina. Does the Federal Reserve work to increase demand? No! They control the money supply. It’s not realistic to think LotC staff could reliably increase demand in any meaningful way just as it is that the Federal Reserve would be able to. Resources and goods are so cheap in their current state that if there was going to be a “overconsumption” like you say it already would have happened. Many people, like myself, enjoy playing the economy. It’s very hard to play the economy if there is virtually non-existent due to there being such an excess of resources and goods. In addition, it’s difficult to RP jobs like mining or farming, when those jobs don’t exist because there’s pretty much no point for them to since people can just spend a days worth of mina from voting to obtain everything they need. Maybe I’m wrong and the vast majority of the playerbase enjoys being able to obtain everything with one click of the mouse. However I’m willing to bet that’s not the case.

    Mines

So what is this, just a smaller instanced mine that can be refilled for mina and reduces server load? I like the idea of being able to refill mines through mina since that’ll be a pretty big mina sink (assuming that it’s not dirt cheap). If the main intention is to address the server load, I think this is perfect. However, if you’re trying to fix the virtually non-existent economy of LotC, I don’t think this will address it. These are the options I see for fixing the economy... Make resources a LOT more scarce. Will increase their cost and you’ll see more people specialize in jobs such as mining. Give less of a reward for voting. I currently get paid like 10 mina a day to be a guard and am making like 200+ a day voting. Granted, I have a feeling my guard pay is ridiculously low, but still I should not be making so much mina a day voting that I can basically afford anything I need. Introduce more mina sinks. Best way I see of doing this is charging charters/nations mina for existing rather than have activity checks (I think @Ggt recommended this already). It’ll increase taxes, which in turn will increase the costs of all goods sold assuming they’re scarcer than now. Make it so people can actually PvP again. My understanding is the majority of resources go to war efforts within the game, and with the server being so bad lately, people have just stockpiled huge amounts of resources reducing the need for them. As for the new mine ideas, I think they’re all good. Specialized mines can be provided to players at a cost of mina, introducing another mina sink, and will lead to certain regions becoming known for certain materials. Adventure mines (assuming they’re what I’m picturing) will provide a PvE experience for players which I think would be a great addition.
  13. +1 for more mina sinks. WAY too easy to make mina. My persona gets paid 10 mina a day for being a soldier, whereas I’m making like 18x that just voting daily.
  14. Imagine actually being able to walk 20 ft and not fall into a void

  15. Very cool, do you do this outside of “emergency” situations? I pretty much just joined LotC, but may be interested in the future.
  16. I like the design of this one much more than the current one, seems the surrounding environment fits it a lot better. I think smaller is better though like others have stated, with things being more centralized and shops or whatever closer together. In my opinion, the farm outside the current temple is really only useful to new players, and even then most don’t seem to even use it since they don’t know they need a hoe to harvest. I also like how the roads leading away seem to be exactly where you’d expect them to be, on each side of the temple. Looks very good overall though, I’m excited to play on a fresh map from the start. Also @seannie‘s idea of an actual CLOUD temple sounds pretty dope.

@rukio listen here missy! Here in Florida we have a little something called STAND YOUR GROUND laws. If you EVER show up at my home or place of business I will have no choice but to shoot you. And you better believe I have a lot of guns! I’m a very wealthy man who fucks hot babes (only drunk of course) on the daily and have access to large quantities of cocaine! You think YOU could pugsy me IRL after I’ve done 4 lines of blow? Well you’ve got another thing coming to you! I’ll have the energy of a young child combined with the speed of a cheetah! Just try me!

  18. But if everyone’s lagging it’ll be a fair fight! /s
  19. How do you feel about 1.14 on LOTC? I just joined, and haven’t really played Minecraft in a long time so I don’t really have any opinion on it other than what I’ve been told. Do you think 1.14 has benefits on the server? If so, what? Like I said, having not played in a long time, I don’t know what benefits it brought. Do you think 1.14 has brought problems to the server? If so, what? According to everyone I’ve spoken with, the update is what’s caused the chunk issues. Assuming that the update was the issue, to me it would seem it’s a bit game breaking. If there is an issue with this, how do you think it could be solved? Reverting the server back to the previous version? I don’t know I’m not a developer? And finally, if you have any extra input then you may put it here! To me, as a new player to LOTC, the chunk loading issue is completely game breaking. Had I not known @rukio before I joined, it’d be impossible to navigate the world and do much at all. TBH I probably would have quit.

Having been born to poor Haeseni farmers (Joseph and Mary Bisk) in the year 1723, Peter grew up on his family's small farm settled in a remote part of the Haeseni lowlands. He grew up very poor, with the family farm barely producing enough to make ends meet. He has great disdain for his father, who despite being of great intelligence, did little with his life, preferring instead comfort and alcohol. His mother was a kind and devout follower of Canonism, who seemed to have accepted her poor situation in life and deadbeat husband, perhaps simply waiting for the glorious afterlife she so strongly believed in. Peters childhood was relatively uneventful, with much of his time being devoted to farm work from a very early age. He learned skills there such as growing crops, caring for animals, smithing, and other basic skills necessary for life in such a remote area. His father spent any excess mina on booze, leaving little money for luxuries. Peter would regularly have to do the work his father was supposed to do as it otherwise wouldn’t be done. His mother taught him what she could, obtaining books whenever possible to share with Peter, however he had no formal education. Unlike her though, Peter was skeptical of Canonism, as he wondered why a God would leave a devout worshipper like his mother in such a poor situation. Given their farms remote location, Peter grew up with little knowledge of the outside world. The books his mother would give him were his only real connection, and sparked his curiosity. He dreamed of one day leaving the farm to seek out a life of his own. In 1745, his mother died of the flu. With his only real reason to stay at the family farm gone, Peter decided to leave for the city of New Reza he heard stories about to try his hand at a new life. Without saying goodbye to his father, Peter packed what little he needed and set out
