In order to increase the standard of health amongst the serving chamberpersons and after the great tragedy of the Wright-Callahan duel of 1751, it is seen fit to appoint an honorary doctor to tend to the needs of the senators. THE SENATORIAL GAZETTE
INTRODUCTION
Pursuant to the Public Records Act of 1751, this publicly available gazette serves as a frequently updated noticeboard detailing the composition of the Imperial Senate, established by the Edict of Establishment (1736) issued by the Crown.
Senators are the elected representatives of the provinces of the nation, creating and voting on legislation and either affirming or declining official nominations. There are two senators to each province, known as the senior and junior senators respectively, which are written first to second.
Senators style themselves as:
[First name] [Surname], Imperial Senator from [Province].
More simply, they may use the prefix of ‘Senator’ before their names. If they are knighted, they may display the title ‘Sir’ along with its associated chivalric order. The Vice Chancellor may hold a landed peerage, and so may be referred to as their respective titles.
VICE CHANCELLOR
The Vice Chancellor is the nominal presiding officer of the Senate, who controls proceedings and may cast a tie-breaking vote, occupants of that office are listed here from the date of the Edict of Establishment.
His Excellency, Hugo Wright [zombieman999] (1751 – present)

The President pro tempore is the de facto presiding officer of the Imperial Senate. As prescribed by the Edict of Establishment (1736), the office is utilized largely by convention in the absence of the Vice Chancellor whose duties extend beyond the chamber. Therefore, the President pro tempore is the provisional head of the legislature. Elected by a majority of the Senators, the duties of this office entail the chairing of the daily functions of the Senate such as presiding over debate, setting the legislative schedule, and maintaining the regular order of business as necessary.
