Principle of Service, that it is my belief that every man and woman who has served their time to the Most Holy Imperium, has thus not only earned peace in their life, but that such peace should be guaranteed by the state - be it local, or national. LEGISLATION Creation of a Veteran’s Pension for soldiers of the Conquest of Azuras that have since retired - either medically or by age. Be this pension monetary or material - such as property - in order to be eligible, an individual must adhere to a series of criteria, to be elaborated upon the proper creation of the bill. The accessibility of education - both intellectual and spiritual - to the rural areas of our Empire. The knowledge in intellect and faith of our Empire is unmatched throughout history, and it is the duty of the legislation to guarantee that any who wish, have access to it, should they strive to learn. Proliferation, professionalization and popularization of the Imperial Immigration system and internal processes surrounding the massive number of Human and Non-Human refugees into our Most Holy Imperium. With the conquest of Urguan, dissolution of the Horde and absorption of Elven states, it is my belief that the Imperial Immigration system should work hand-in-hand with the Imperial Census’ enumerators and assure the proper localization of these individuals. Yes, I don't like generalizations, but since you're trying to use that, I'd have put 'never, except x', but I didn't think you'd actually use Harfleur as an example because it'd just... prove the rule.

Horrible example. You're using the good old 'yeah, but this right here'. Tale as old as time: exceptions serve to confirm a rule. The one time a PCV/CGV was false, it was overturned. Did it take time? Definitely. Why? Because they are the mechanism administration uses to punish serious, potentially legally threatening situations, such as pedophilia, doxxing, threats, et cetera.

Note the italicized and bolded technically and the mention of 'cold unethical truth'. I don't agree with what I said at the start, I just pointed out how it technically works.

So I'm going to say something you're going to definitely disagree with because evidently you're friends with PCV'd and CGV'd people (arguably a weirdge thing to admit to, but alas), but, in my experience with LotC (don't go off what my forum account says), PCVs and CGVs are very rarely false and, way more often than not, are the actual devices that Administration uses to ban genuinely horrible people from the server, whether because of their behavior, attitudes, actions, intents, or whatever. I could give examples but I don't want their Discord alts or legions of still-playing fleeper friends to harass me. Anyway. Nectorist is right. Combine what I said with what he said, and you have the perfect positioning in regards to transparency. Policies, standards and smaller bans? Sure. Never give any kind of transparency into PCVs, CGVs and TOS. If you catch one of those, I hope you never find out why - because if you think what you did or didn't do is justifiable, you don't belong on a community.

You, the user, are not owed any kind of explanations. This is the unfortunate cold truth, without getting into ethics and morality. None of us are entitled to any kind of reasoning or explanation. This is not real life - this is the services of - technically - a company, which we are """"clients"""" of, to an extent, and are owed no explanations to why they cancel their services (ban/kick/remove us), because we do not actively pay to use or have any manner of subscription or legal binding that forces LotC to explain to you why you're unable to access their service. Now, when you put in morality, the debate takes another shift, a problematic one, where "transparency" is thrown as a blanket term to say Administration and Tythus LTD should tell everyone at all times what is going on. I'm saying this without having read the LotC TOS but with a vague understanding of both it and our community guidelines, and I can confidently say that nowhere does it state that they have to be transparent, nor that they commit themselves to such a notion. Personally, I don't really care. I was raised in Brazil and was born Afghani, and I know very well that transparency is a double edged blade. Should everyone in my country really know why XYZ happens? Yes. Would it probably lead to good things? No. Not really. This makes me sound like some alt right weirdo who believes the masses should stay uninformed; that's not what I mean. What I mean is that, for things to operate smoothly and run along with efficiency, some people will know things and some people will not know things. I, as a member of Event Team, have access to backfacing lore about the Map that you, as a regular player, do not. Why? Because I need to know what's going on to help you find out whats going on via Events. This is, though to a less malignant way, a lack of transparency, yet a necessary one to maintain the orderly operation of things. With all that being said, my conclusion is: No, you don't deserve transparency. LotC players have in the past proven, for good and for bad, that when they get told things, they absolutely blow it out of proportion and twist everything so their friends or the people they dislike either get something or lose something out of the situation. While I'm not the biggest advocate for Administration, I myself only like Squak and Smol, I don't demonize them either (save for a few specific topics). I don't believe they, or the Moderation Management, have any necessity or obligation to tell you why your friend got 6 monthed, specially because some of you think some things aren't slurs when they very clearly - as established by laws across countries worldwide - are, so don't come at me with the 'I don't know why I'm banned...' after saying something or doing something that would evidently lead to a ban.
