  1. Oh I don't know, it might be. I'm not the person to talk to about potential coding projects, I don't know a lick about Minecraft plugins or coding. If the need suffices then maybe it'd be worth looking into but I don't see that happening.
  2. If you had read, you'd also see that you can pay in materials as well. Prices were based off of the few sell-shop examples I could find. If a shop is selling logs for 0.15 minas each then I'm also not going to sell them for 0.15, but a tad bit more expensive. There's enough materials already floating around the game and not so much money. If cost worries you so much you can simply buy the materials from other players beforehand as the system allows. Define aesthetic blocks? Some of there were admittedly guesstimates and will likely be adjusted in time. And again, as stated above, most of the prices were based off what I saw in sell-shops. Not a lot of shops selling basic blocks, though, so I had to guess on a few blocks. Again, if the block prices are too much, you're welcome to pay with your own blocks- and I'm more than receptive on price feedback. Just telling me they're wrong doesn't point me anywhere, though. The reason it took so long for me to introduce this was 1.) I was mildly hesitant and 2.) I just wasn't sure on a lot of the prices. Lava is okay so long as it's logical. Can't say I'm fond of the idea of lava moats around a fort. I still have plans for buy shops but they won't be as drastic as the Great Iron Sinkholes of Axios. Placing and re-placing blocks doesn't effect anything. The price has to be calculated by hand (though it's not too difficult), there's no plug-in counting your number of block placements or anything similar. As for removing buildings, it hasn't come up recently but I'm fairly certain there's been an agreement to world edit builds away but not refund items so long as it isn't a ridiculous amount of blocks.
  3. This new system will allow groups, settlements, and even just singular players to rent the ability to use Limited Creative to build. Just as a forewarning, numbers and other nuances to this system are likely to change as time goes on. Hell, the system itself might not even exist down the line- consider this a test run. This is being offered as a convenience to those needing to build large plots or builds as sometimes building with just /fly isn't enough. You'll find out how the system works below, as well as the prices-per-block: How It Works: Players contact an admin or GM manager to oversee their building project We discuss terms like how long the process will take, what you planning on building, etc. Players seeking Limited Creative will pay an up-front cost to access creative Limited Creative will be given to up to 5 players at a time Building can be halted and then resumed at any time, you're given as much time as you need so long as it's not ridiculously time consuming Once building is completed, whoever oversaw the building will tally up the blocks used then present a bill. Players can either pay in minas, materials, or a mixture of both. You may only work on one build location at a time- no paying for Limited Creative then sprucing up every settlement or village you own. The Cost: Certain blocks will have a cost tied to it. This cost was decided by basic math, viewing market prices, and some discussions here and there. It is likely to change in the near future so stay up-to-date if you're interested in this system. After your build is completed, you'll be presented with a list of materials used as well as how much it costs in minas. You can pay in minas, materials, or a mixture of both. The materials must be of the same type you used while building (so, stonebrick can only be payed with stonebrick, not smoothstone). Access to Limited Creative: You must pay an up-front fee to begin the process; 3,000 minas. This price is subject to change based on demand and usage. After you've paid the 3,000 fee, you may begin building and your block-usage fee will be determined after you have completed your build. Hiding additional supplies in an attempt to generate resources for free will result in your build being rolled back, potential blacklisting from future Limited Creative usage, and possibly ban time. Additionally, this is for legitimate builds. Attempting to dismantle the build for supplies afterwards will result in a wipe of supplies and a rollback in the area. Do note that this system will be subject to change, as stated above. Prices might change, items on the do-not-use list may move up, etc. Feedback is appreciated!

Guild Charters Renamed Really simple one: Guild Charters are being renamed to Independent Charters. They will function exactly the same as they do now but players will not be forced to create a guild if they're seeking land. They're now open for anyone and everyone seeking land, not just guilds. GM Team Lead Promotion We've got a new Game Moderator team! Ski was holding the position temporarily as we decided on a new team lead and... we've made our decision, derp. Please congratulate Thomas! What's Next: Still plenty of things being worked on, so here's what to expect in the coming future. Travel Charter format being posted as the plug-in draws closer to completion Spawn Island re-modeling Feedback thread(s) on the return of sell shops, expect this one soon
  5. Whitelist application has been accepted, player is now whitelisted in game.

Interesting. I really like the caves, however: first day I encountered a monster every other turn, hours after that some stray monsters. Today in 2 hours of mining I haven't met a single one.

Could it be that the cap's reached and monsters stop spawning since un-exploted caves are full? No idea, but if that's the case, you may want to wipe monsters in the mine world after every restart.

Hmm, that's something to keep in mind. Don't think it's asking too much to do a nightly /butcher before bed.

  7. A big thank you to Josh, Kowaman, and Teegah for helping with the mines! They did most of the work, TBH. Good lads.

  8. Mines are all fixed up and regenerated. If your mine entrance is still buggy or just not fixed, post in this thread or make a modreq in-game. A big thank you to Josh, Kowaman, and Teegah for helping with the entrances, portals, and co-ordinate collection!!! Much love. Enjoy the tunnels and caves, guys.
  9. Server will be going down in about 15 minutes to refresh mineworld.

  10. Long shot but does anyone have this college course packet? https://gyazo.com/e3de61d114dbf7efe4504f6bd7e0ad62 It'd be for any intro-to-internet class. I rented the e-book instead of buying the packet so I'm fugged.

I mean, I need it by Sunday.

  11. Simple as the title says. Mines are being refreshed tomorrow afternoon. Make sure you remove anything you don't want to lose (such as chests or work stations) and do not log out there as you'll likely die. Entrances will need to be re-created as well so if a moderator does not get to your mine in time, please make a modreq and someone will handle it. Alternatively, message me in-game or on Skype with co-ordinates to your mine entrance and I'll make sure it's in working order soon after the mines are refreshed. Big thanks to Kowaman, Josh, and Teegah for getting the mines up and running. If your entrance is buggy (spawns you on bedrock/in water), make a modreq to get it fixed or post in this thread. Some mines may have been missed.

  15. I wish your guild the best magical endeavors! We've got the plot set up and this charter is now considered official and accepted.
  16. Our spawn, while looking pretty nice, is also pretty empty and otherwise useless. All it does is add an additional few minutes to a player's walking time. With the map the size it is (even WITH planned fast travels in the near future) it's pretty clear that spawn is a biiit too big and biiit too empty. There's been a few ideas in place about revamping it and I'd like to present a few ideas to you guys as well as get your feedback on any potential changes: Merge 'Resource Island' with the Isle of Malin / Spawn: We've been talking about remaking Resource Island for a week now and I got the idea that it'd be a lot simpler to just use spawn as a resource island. The island has enough room to work a few tree farms, resource pits (sand, gravel, clay, soulsand maybe, etc.), and food farms (carrots, wheat, melon/pumpkin). I'm not entirely sure where things would be placed but we could throw down three huge sections on the area dedicated to the three different resources: wood, other blocks, and food. There likely will be NPCs out front reminding players of some basic hints/tips like so: Move Spawn Points Two options here: 1.) Three additional spawn points added to the map. Players can either go to these spawn points on death or choose to set their desired spawn location there if they visit it while alive. Whatever works best for the tech side of things. Example: Red = Docks where you land coming from the Isle of Malin Blue = Monk encampment where you can respawn 2.) Move our current spawn location closer to the middle of the Island. Red = old spawn Blue = new spawn Add a Festival Grounds Similar to the GM village from Anthos, these festival/fair grounds would likely be neutral and open for any groups that would wish to host an event / ran by ET or GM for server-wide festival events. There wouldn't be much to do outside of exploring it, though. They'd operate mostly during events so it's not just another hub for players to roleplay at. Add/Update the GM Graveyard I believe there's a placeholder but we don't have an actual build. Give the Monks a Tiny Plot to Roleplay From Simple as it sounds. Monks get a tiny plot on the Isle to roleplay from and build up as they see fit. It'll likely be close to the spawn point / road so new players will walk by. Other If you have any ideas or suggestions, let us know. One thing I didn't mention was a tutorial. That one is potentially in the works and unrelated to our current spawn. --------- The Bottom Line / Why / TL;DR: Spawn looks good but is really empty. It doesn't need to be super exciting but we shouldn't be subjected to a long, boring walk whenever we die. Adjust spawn points to make travel a tiny bit faster Give monks a place to roleplay out of Potentially merge spawn with Resource Island Add a GM village/festival area alongside a GM graveyard The goal is to give new players a good transition to the server. If players gathering resources are all centralized to one point then new players / wandering souls will likely run into them. It also makes finding resources a lot easier when starting, rather having having to find a farm (that they have access to) and figure out how resource island boats/fast travel works. This shouldn't detract from main-land roleplay any more than current resource islands already do, and if it does, we can brainstorm ideas on how to prevent that (such as removing monk protection from anyone that's NOT new, to avoid issues like with the Vailor docks). Also, check out this other 'Your View' by @Sythan: EDIT: And, as with most of these your views, the top-voted option may not be selected. This is just to garner thoughts about what you guys would like to see in a future update.
  17. I'd like to see a few more signatures from those who are going to be involved. I'll keep my eye on this and we can discuss land and location sometime in the near future.
  18. This is sort of in limbo. If the leaders of this group are still active and are still seeking a plot of the land, please get with me. Otherwise, this'll eventually be moved to the denied section as it was never really fulfilled.
  19. This charter application has been approved.
  20. We've worked all this out, I believe! I wish you and your guild the best of luck in your pursuit of knowledge!
  21. Character ideas, go!
