  1. Cut nexus regions, I find that way too stressful and complex.
  2. Shaman Application MC Name: RP Name: Very brief description on your character (can be just a few lines): Race: Age: Character’s personality, what separates him from other Shamans?: Character weaknesses/strengths?: Why do you wish to RP a Shaman?: Learning Experience Name of teacher? 3. Hope... The reminiscence of Iblee's scar on the Orcs comes across the faces of many. Some devoured by fear linger by the edge of the fighting arena within San'Vitar. Many Orcs say their prayers, which busy shamans heal the scarred land. Many to a dozen question their fate, and the fate of their kin. A busy uproar remains as the busied warriors, shamans, keshig, yazgars all complain, question, fear. Though Zhol sits in his small hut, the noise not shifting his focus. He pieces together old talismans he found in ancient ruins scattered across the jungle and plateau, all baring the ancient Orcish tongue. He studies carefully before finally interrupted by the dominant roar of the Rex emitting from the arena. His puffed eyes, filled with lost sleep dart out his window as he exits the working hut. He realizes the large eye of Iblees in the sky.Making his way past the thousand of gathered Orcs, he listens to the Rex carefully, pushing to front line of the gathered Orcs. He stands in a solemn silence as the Rex prompts his brothers to not fear or question safety. Murmurs are sent across the gathered crowd, deep, deep voices are heard. Zhol trembles slightly, his lack of sleep causing him to twitch uncontrollably. He rubs his eyes carefully as he searches for the High Shaman. He has many questions to ask the elderly Orc, though Brunhyldir is no where to be seen. Zhol's eyes dart around, his head bobbing as he traces back and forth through the crowd, wondering where the Shaman is. He thinks of why he'd be so held up, he walks over to Brunhyldir's large tent, opening the flaps as he scans the empty tent. He wonders, thinking hard on the topic. He folds his fat lips across his tusks as the thinks harder, harder. He thinks back to when he last saw the High Shaman. Though his thoughts are clouded by sleep... He remembers slightly, the ancient rumors of when Orcs told the young Lur that Brunhyldir was an old ascended... Yes, now he remembers... Now he remembers the questions he was going to ask the High Shaman... Will you be ready to combat the Undead? That question still remains for the rumored Ascended. After the defeat of Zogrocka, will he be strong enough to protect the Orcs and assist in the defeat of the Undead? And with the arrival of the Orc's ancient opponent, none still know about the darkness which shrouds in the spirit realm, plaguing the spirits of their home. Will this be the imminent fate of the War Nation?
  4. Name: "Aelali'Maern" ((MCname)): _Kraal_ ((Skype ID, this can be PMed to me alternatively)): thomascovey1181 Age: "346" Are you Mali'ame?: "Yes" As under the Second Concordat of Halernor, Lin'ame is forbidden from granting ranks to impure high elves or half-breeds of High Elven blood. Are you either of these?: "No" What skill do you possess in martial combat?: "Archery, and pole arm experience to some degree." You must reside within Lin'ame. Do you?: "No, I do not" The Code of Elberu'cinhir is essential to understanding the role and responsibility of a Restrained. Have you read and familiarized yourself with them?: "Yes, I have." The journey from Untested to Beru'cinhir shall test the supremacy of your own will and your willingness to place yourself under the instructions of others and your society. Do you understand this?: "Yes, I do"
  5. A grim light comes over the cold savanna, the dim light being that of the moon. Luara shines a good enough light for the two Orcs below to see where their footsteps lead them. Zhol continues to search frantically for the cave whence he found the odd scripture. He thinks of the wolf, the black wolf, its fur resembling nothing of emotion, nothing. It’s eyes, though its eyes were gloomy and resembled a lost spirit, Zhol describes to the shaman. The two find the cave, its dark, Luara’s light does not surpass its stone borders. The two Orcs delve into the cave, a torch alight. Almost at once they spot the ancient scripture. Zhol stares confused at it, still confused about what it says. A puzzle beyond his dimension, so it seemed. The Shaman recognized the writing almost instantly. A long pause occurs as he stops, his clammy hands feeling the stone surface which the ancient writing is embedded in. “The Grave of Kurak..” Mutters the shaman as he turns back to the esteemed Lur. He explains the text and its meaning to the shamans. Zhol nods his head after listening, questioning how the grave had gotten to this exact spot.. Though the question was unanswered by the Shaman. The Shaman exited the cave as he began to make his way back to the Uzg, leaving Zhol behind in the cave. [super rushed RP post, had to go somewhere. Vaguely describes how Zhol found out that he found the grave of Kurak, the Lur spirit of the wolf. Expect a follow up post soon.]
  6. Ranks Rex: Reksam’Kog [HappyShackles] Targoth: Urik'Azog [Erik0821] High Shaman: Brunhyldir [boogerBuster] Ushatar(s): Champion of Luara, Zhol'Lur [_Kraal_] Champion of Enrohk Faunherer'Gorkil [Faunherer]
  7. The Krughai Rex - The dictator and strongest warrior within Orcish society. His word overrides anyone else’s in the Uzg. Targoth - Second in command to the Rex and in control of training the rankers of the Krughai, he also directs the officers of the Krughai in battle. The title is given by the Rex. Can be challenged by a Warboss if the Rex and other Warboss agree. High Shaman - Sits on the same ranking level as the Targoth. The High Shaman is the spiritual leader of the Orcs, and gets a say on who is a champion or leader within the Krughai. He also can command those lower than him in battle. Spirit Champions - Spirit champions (Ushatars) command the lower ranks in battle. Nominated by a worthy Shaman or High Shaman, they must perform three tasks for three different shamans in the name of their selected spirit. Grunt - Main soldier in the Krughai, having already served the Rex and the orcs in battle. They must select a personal patron spirit. Runts - New recruits into the Krughai, train regularly and are always looking to become grunts. Promotion is dependant on obedience, diligence, strength and reverence in the spirits. Pug - Dishonored orc or dumbass who is still in the Krughai, rank assigned by the High Shaman or Targoth. This title is nothing to be proud of.
  8. Kraal prods the skin on the large beast, Vorrul, whispering seductively to it. There's a bond between the Lich and the creature, only the sane would cringe at the sight. But to Kraal his love for the beast extends upon his Lichdom. These are obviously false feelings which Ikuras has brought to Kraal, a false personality which makes the Lich unpredictable, yet always precise. Zogrocka sits upon a quartz throne in the ancestral realm. The spirit sits in a deep silence... Shame... He has brought shame and his past life, all that is remembered by most is destruction, terror, fear, and agony. He looks at Vorrul, clenching his fists as he watches the fiery-flesh smithed creature rest in that infernal cave whence he put him of safe keeping. A mistake! The beast was discovered by his allies, and used for a more greater threat than his small conquest on the Orcs... A darkness is coming...
  9. “We are the hunters. Our enemy is the prey” The Lurs are not footmen, they are hunters. The hunt is the most important thing for a Lur and to prove themselves in the hunt is what all young Lurs wish to do. The Lurs have a bond to The Great Lur wolves. The Great Lur wolves are huge beast that only obey the Lur clan. When Lurs ride wolfs they are almost unbeatable in mounted combat. Lurs are most of the time quiet and stoic, from the moment they wake, they devote themselves to the perfection of whatever they pursue. Every Lur strives to perfect the hunt and the rise. They have a strict code of conduct and believe in honour above all. Lurs don't like to deal with politics for they think that staying in an office and discussing politics is extremely boring and would much rather enjoy the thrill of the hunt. But when they need to discuss politics and papers they will do it but not happily. Even so, in polities they believe it is better to be the wolf than the sheep. Lurs are usually smaller than other Orcs but they are much quicker and much more agile. The weapon of choice varies from bloodline to bloodline but all Lurs are masters of the spear. Government: The Lur clan is ruled by a Wargoth who is chosen by either a klomp or unanimously elected by the elders of the Lur. The Wargoth must always listen to the advice that the Clan father will give, the clan father is usually the oldest and most wisest Orc in the clan. Current Wargoth: Eath'Lur Current Clanfather: Murthraka’Lur Elders, an elder of the Lur clan represent the bloodline of one of the heroes of the age of heroes. The current elders are: Murthraka'Lur {Potato12} [Fist] Brevias'Lur {Brevias} [Trickster] Frumzum'Lur {HELLFIAZz} [sword] Grak'Lur {Darksalvo} [Wolf] Boul’Lur {Sneakyclownz} [Axe] Zhol’Lur {_Kraal_} [bronze] Timeline: https://www.lordofthecraft.net/topic/91112-history-of-the-lur-clan/?hl=%2Bhistory+%2Bclan Lore and myths: Lur and the Wolf https://www.lordofthecraft.net/topic/37850-story-of-lur/ The Great hunt, Origin of the Lur clan. (Soon to come) Banishment of Or (Soon to come) The Clan Wars (Soon to come) Buubztik, Birth of the Bronze (Soon to come) Bloodlines: Each of the Heroes from the ages formed their own bloodline, they act as a family and as political group in the Lur clan. Bloodlines are many times mixed with each other and with the bloodline of Lur himself. That is why all Lurs usually refer themselves as cousins. The leader of a Bloodline is an elder of the Lur clan and can fight for Wargoth of the Lur clan. The bloodlines and its leaders are: The Fist Bloodline: The fist are usually the most calm and cold of the Lur bloodlines, they think that physical strength is the purest weapon that a warrior can use. They descend from Tor the fist of Lur. The sons of Tor will go to extreme measures to get stronger and stronger. Their leader is Murthraka’Lur. The Trickster Bloodline: The trickster descend from the Trickster of Lur. They are the most diplomatic and the best at convincing others to do what they want, The Tricksters sons are many times goblins for their founder was goblin. They are often considered to be some of the smartest Orcs arounds.Their leader is Brevias’Lur The Wolf Bloodline: The most savage and wild of bloodlines but also the most loyal and trustworthy. The wolves descend from Kurak the wolf of Lur.They are the biggest of the Lurs and their preferred weapons are metal claws that let them act as savage as they want. They also have a closer bond to their wolfs than other Lurs. Their leader is Grak’Lur The Axe Bloodline. Primarily known as the most stubborn and rash of all Lurs, they are strong and powerful and put honour above all other things. They think of themselves as an always improving warrior. They descend from Bralkor the Axe of Lur. The bloodline is lead by Boul'Lur The Sword of Lur. This bloodline is the most agile of all Lurs and some of the quickest as well, they enjoy riding as fast as they can and they descend from Jarkan the Sword of Lur. Their leader is Frumzum’Lur. The Bronze of Lur. This bloodline consists of the most spiritual and/or intelligent Lurs of all bloodlines. This bloodline descends from Buubztik’Lur, the Bronze of Lur. Most Lurs that carry the bloodline of the Bronze are destined to be great military leaders, or powerful Shamans. Their leader is Zhol’Lur. Cults of the Lur and how they work: Cults are like sub clans, but a cult is still part of the Lur clan. They obey the same laws and traditions of the Lur clan. But Cults are different because they focus on one particular aspect of the Lur clan. To form a cult the leader must first be a direct descendent of one of the Heroes of the Lur clan, and they must have proven themselves as both a powerful Orc and one who others would follow. The current Cults are: Khor cult: “We are the wild, the unbound” The Khor are the most wild and savage of Orcs, they descend directly from Kurak the Wolf of Lur.They believe that Lurs should not live in the cities for being in the cities makes them weak. The main Khor tradition is to leave their cubs to be raised in the wilds with Lur wolfs, thus making them more savage and wild. Gob cult “We are the guardians” The Gob unlike others of the Axe family branch are focused on being calm calculative and they know when to use their rage. They created the Gob cult to become the guardians of San’Lur. When they need to protect their homeland they use the anger that their ancestors taught them as a weapon. The Gob went into a kamikaze rampage when they failed their task to protect San’Lur. They became depressed and lost interest in all things that didn't have the final goal of revenge. Dash cult “Ours is the speed” The Dash focus on speed, they are the fastest Orcs in the whole desert and descend from the Sword of Lur.They are agile, quick and ruthless. They host yearly tournaments to see who is quickest of them. They breed their wolfs not to be warrior wolves but to be as fast as possible. The Dash are many times messengers of the Lur. Traditions: Birth and young age. Lur cubs are taken to the lair of the wolves, where all Lur wolves have taken as their lair. If the wolves accept the cub then he is truly a Lur. If not the cub is not of Lur blood the wolves will destroy him. Coming of age: When Lur cubs reach the age of 9 years they are introduced to a Lur wolf cub. The Lur and its wolf are sent to the wilds to survive while 2 Lur wolves hunt them down. This is to prove that the time of weakness is over, they are no longer prey, it is time to be strong, to be the hunter. The wolf cub and the Lur are bound together not only as rider and mount but as brothers, elder Lurs have grown so close to their wolves they can hear each other thoughts. A Lur will have one wolf in his entire life, if the wolf dies, it is common for the Lur to kill himself, their loss is so great. The hunt of the betrayed: In honour of those who died during the Clan Wars the Lur go on a great hunt where the Lurs use black spears and arrows. The beast that are killed in the hunt are put in a great bonfire where they are sacrificed to the spirits ones who were murdered in the Clan wars. The festival of “Da Gajutars Dahamab”: A dead festival, the last one was done before the Clan Wars. In that festival was where 75% of the Lurs were killed. This festival is based on celebrating the beginning of the Great Hunt of Lur. Lurs from all parts of the Lur lands used to flock to the city of San’Lur. Death of a Lur or his wolf: When a Lur or his Wolf are killed in the hunt or in battle their bodies are brought to their ancestral lands and then burnt. Their ashes go to the wind and will always ride in the wind. The Lur believe that when they die they go to a great plains of the spirit realm where they will hunt with Lur for all eternity. Oath to Lur: Lurs promise to always serve Lur, the clan and Krug. They make their oaths on the great Spear of Lur.They believe that their spirits are bound to the spear and the Lur that owns the spear can call upon all Lurs who have made the vow. The Vow: I swear that I will ride like the wind, hunt like the wolf and kill like my ancestors before me. My weapon belongs to Lur, my body belongs to Lur, my life belongs to Lur. I am loyal above all to Lur, I will die for Lur. I forsake land, wealth and glory, all that is mine belongs to my clan. Laws: When time was still young and Lur still walked in this land, hunting with his sons and brothers, he created a set of rules for the hunters. It was called the Code of the Hunt. The Laws are as follows: Only when in great need will a Lur hunt the weak. For there is no honour in hunting and killing something that presents no challenge to hunt and kill. A Lur will always seek strong prey, as the prize is greater and he becomes stronger in doing so. Never to hurt or kill another Lur outside of an honour duel. Obey the leader of the hunt (Wargoth of the Lur clan) with no hesitation. He was chosen by the elders and by Lur himself. Never try to take the position of another Lur for your own personal gain. The Clan always comes first. 10. I find you super passive on the forums. And my past RP with you usually led you to power game just to win or get out of situations. Probably should re-evaluate yourself, because many here don't see you as ET material. -2
  11. Well ****, you must be a scholar? Everyone fkin says this ****. And sosa, Orcs, Humans, Dwarves, Elves, Kha' are all supposed to be at a balance. Why do Orcs need the above ground all the time? We don't.
  12. Kraal, a local Lich, stares at the poster for 2 days, 3 hours, and 43 minutes before he chuckles twice. This cycle repeats.
  13. A crisp wind blows across the savanna, blowing softly past Zhol’Lur. He looks to the afternoon sky, the sun high above as it warms him to the point where beads of sweat begin to rush down his body. He continues walking as the dry grass brushes past his feet. The Lur has been away from the Uzg for a few days, living out of a simple hiking pack. Some would find this time most miserable, but the Orc does not agree, he feels as if he’s now closer to the spirits, the elementals keeping him alive for the past few days. Votar, the spirit of the hunt, has been very kind to Zhol, many squirrels, rabbits, tiny animals of the like hanging limply from his large hiking pack. He stops to admire his surroundings, the Lur simply sightseeing. He admires the soft touch of the wind that still brushes over him, the water channelling smoothly across a small river, breaking as it intersects with large rocks. But he is not here to admire nature, no. The learning shaman is here to connect with the ancestors of the past. He leaps across the river, landing on a rather flat rock, before jumping again to the other side of the river. He continues making his way across the wilderness, body looking idle as he lazily looks around, daydreaming under the heat of the sun. He suddenly comes to a stop, the Lur’s eyes fixed on a den before him, vines cascading its entrance, hiding it. His eyes are shimmering ever so slightly before approaching the cave. To any Lur they’d recognize the smell, the mangie taste that fills the air. This wasn’t a mere den. A pair of illuminating eyes focus themselves on Zhol. The travelling Orc takes a cautious step backwards, snarls coming from the den. The Lur wolf by instinct charges out of its den. It begins to circle the Lur. He unstraps his backpack before scampering to his feet. His spear is left sticking out of his hiking bag, far from reach. All he has to wield is a simple skinning knife. He unsheathes the small knife, footsteps following the wolf’s the two both circling each other. The wolf crouches, its legs strong, flexing before a low growl emits from the beast’s maw. Zhol stops, also crouching in response to the wolf. He readies himself for the pounce, his eyes are locked, so focused, he doesn’t want the wolf to do anything unexpected. The wolf leaps forth, mouth opening, claws forth as it goes to push Zhol onto the ground. Though, Zhol ducks as he slides towards his bag. The wolf missing ever so slightly. The hunter struggles as he drops the knife, tearing the spear out of its holder as he turns around quickly, hands tight around the spear, squatting low as he watches the angry wolf turning back around. The two circle each other once again, the Lur’s spear very steady now, his form resembling a very experienced hunter and warrior. The wolf quickly drags its feet, its claws gripping the ground as it pushes off its two back legs towards Zhol, its head rotating sideways as it goes to bite the hunter. Zhol’s actions were quick, his spear on target, his precision exact, sharp, excellent. The spear enters the maw of the wolf, its thrust going upwards as it exits out the back of the wolf’s head. The hunter drops to his knees quickly after the wolf falls to the ground, its eyes going still. The hunter holds the wolf’s head up as he sets it on his lap. He holds his head close to the wolf’s face as he whispers very quick, hasty prayers. Death was not his goal, he was not obligated to kill the wolf. It was an option. He took the option, and he feels as if it was a mistake to do so. His attention now is taken off the wolf, his heart beating as sweat now dribbles down his back. He enters the dark, cool cave, instantly retreating out of it. He walks to his hiking pack as he removes a large branch and some clothing, followed by a tinder box and some green liquid. Zhol wraps the clothing around the top of the large branch, bathing it in the green goo, then lighting the torch aflame. He goes back to the cave, delving into it. He finds many flies buzzing around dead corpses of animals, birds, a human… He stops as he reaches a wall, he looks left to right, the entire wall covered in moss and vines. Though a glimmering object catches his eye, a dirty gem is spotted between the thick fungi, moss, and vine that covers the cave wall. Zhol begins picking at the coverings curiously, shaving the moss off the wall, parting the vines, and removing the fungi. What the Lur uncovers is an ancient scripture, some words come to recognition, but others he cannot read. He sees a carving of a wolf, the name Lur coming afterwards… His brow quirks as he exits the cave, extinguishing the torch as he equips his bag, sheathing his weapons, not before burying the wolf he killed properly, burning the corpse as the smoke ascends to the sky, the wolf’s spirit returning to its rightful home.
  14. YES THANK GOD THE CHOSEN ONE IS BACK
  15. The new Elder, Zhol’Lur, now the fist of Lur, sits close to the warm fire. His eyes gaze deep into its flames, every motion the flames make being registered by the hunter. Brunhyldir nods to the Orc, standing up tired, and exiting the firespace. Zhol is left alone with his thoughts tracing back and forth, taking him back to the other month… He shudders slightly, his dried eyes closing as he shakes out of the flashback. He gives a deep Orcish grunt which echoes across the Rex plateau. Zhol turns to the side, pressing his lips into his shoulder as he begins thinking again. He thinks of the battle that happened not too long ago… The Orc throws his hands atop his head as he slowly brushes his fingers through what hair he has. Zhol shakes his head as he curses. He stands slowly as he takes a few paces towards the fire, then sitting back down, cross-legged. He warms himself before the large bond-fire, eyes lazily staring back into the flames. His thoughts take him back to earlier that week… The fire spirit disappointed… Perhaps it was the battle, perhaps it was the Azogs… Or maybe… Maybe… Maybe it was the Uzg that brought this spirit into such rage. “Could it be the Azogs are right about the Warnation not being what it used to be?” The Lur asks himself. He shakes his head, refusing. The Azogs were a mindless bunch, like that of a dog. But it’s true, the Lur knows. The Uzg needs heroes more than ever in this time of both mortal and spiritual struggle. Though, what the Lur does not know, is that his promise to the fallen dark shaman will take him on an adventure one cannot take alone. A darkness stirs in the spirit realm, and the Lur will soon have to oppose it himself, in promise to his fallen friend. Will his spiritual journey he's about delve into resolve the conflict that the War Nation is now in? TL;DR
  16. Zhol'Lur, a hunter and no more as others used to see. He met Zogrocka when they turned the adult age of ten. The learning hunter, bloodline of fist, was a very strong kub, so was Zogrocka. The two knew each other for years, the two Orcs being brothers for many years. The Lur stayed a hunter, and a privileged Orc among the Uzg. Zogrocka, how ever, was a clanless Orc, his father could not fight well, his mother was weak and dishonorable. Though Zogrocka grew up to be a very honorable Orc, joining a clan himself after years and years of klomping. He later become a shaman and worgoth, whilst Zhol, remained a hunter. The two Orcs, once very close brothers, grew apart, surprising. Years passed, Zogrocka becoming High Shaman, the most honorable of shamans. He took to his honor, before later being overthrown by Malog'Yar. The purple Orc led a solemn life afterwards, his Orcish traits disappearing as the Shaman took to the more darker forms of his art. Once Zhol heard of this, he refused to fight his long lost brother. The very day he passed his soul onto the ancestral plane, he made a promise, a pact to Zogrocka's spirit, which the hunter will now uphold for the remaining time, until death does its part. The Lur hunter walks up to the altar where Zogrocka is placed. A solemn tear wanders down the Orc's fat cheek, his eyes laying atop his brother's expired body. He whispers in his ear, "Zogrocka, mi wyll flatz da zpyridtz whu deztruied lat." Zhol then turns, giving a lengthy speech to the brothers attending the ritual to release the Orc's spirit into its belonged realm. The High Shaman, Brunhyldir, lights the body on fire, smoke ascending into the sky as Zogrocka's soul takes its place in the ancestral realm. Zhol turns back to Zogrocka, resting his forehead on the burning corpse, whispering once again, "Mi prumize diz." The then closes the Orc's eyes with his index and middle finger, taking his place in the front of the crowd to watch the once honorable shaman burn peacefully.
