Raulin stumbles back over to his chair, in the tavern. Cradling his head in his hands as he rubs a still-healing scar on the back of his head, mumbling softly over to the well-endowed barmaid "Drink". Looking back over his shoulder, Raulin cringes as sunlight from an opening door hits his eyes, turning back to look down at his ale. Raulin tips the tankard into his mouth, its thick contents sliding down its rim into his mouth. His ears prick up as he hears the name "VonSchlichten", didn't he go by that name once? The last time he used it was when he had shipped off to sell some wine for his uncle, but ended up drinking it instead, and then falling off the side. How many years had it been since that? Raulin had only filled the gaps with viscous ale, teaching young ones to read and write, and drinking even more ale. He hadn't returned to his home of Gallmore in years, and his only family was unheard from... Did he have family? Sliding off of his splintered, wooden chair, Raulin shakily walks over to the door, muttering to himself with his palm outstretched "Gestahl... Mandru...". Pushing open the door, he falls onto the cobbled road of the settlement whose-name-he-could-never-remember, the flats of his hands grazing against the paving. Cursing silently to himself, he stands up, brushing the dust off of his dark, torn robes. He walks through the dirty streets, dirtied chamberpots emptied out of windows onto his boots as cries ringing out through the empty alleyways of both terror and laughter. Scuffing his heels against the cobbles, Raulin sighs as he looks back at the settlement as he walks through its gates. "Blow me, that was some shite ale" he murmurs to himself. ((Sorry about this, wasn't too sure how to announce Raulin's return. Not too informed on what's happened in LotC so far, and I'll be back in 2+ weeks)) EDIT: Thanks so much, Helbolt.
