  2. Republic of Danwent – 1515 The First Games of the Republic were a resounding success, with new friendships and opportunities gained for everyone involved. Dionius Liber was disappointed as his wish of potential talks between the long-feuding Numerians and Symon did not come to be, but at least the population was less tense given the welcome distraction. One thing that continues to tear on the minds of the Senators all, were the remains of the galley that got lost at sea. To secure its shores, it became clear methods of protection, warning and communication had to be developed... as to how they would do it was not certain yet, but Kaylius Sarnari, whilst a rather new face, was already forging plans. Under orders of Senator Thoryus Armon, General Hasoran Alaari is holding large scale maneuvers at Koryii near the border up north to Numeria, armed and ready, 10,000 soldiers of Danwent partake in it. The purpose of training is undisputable, but the location might be a bit questionable. Following the new movement in the neighbouring Symon Empire, Aywentos Rumaari and Dionius Liber both travel east, to meet this scholar foundation that adheres to democratic values such as the Republic of Danwent. It’s important here, that the very spirit of democracy itself is not misused to further goals of single individuals, but rather that it is used to pursue the greater good for the many, for the common people. Respect and integrity are essential here, and the duo is willing to teach them more about the values of the Republic itself. Senator Theodos Abemani takes a prolonged leave, travelling West to Galahar, seeking further voyage even further West, to find new shores and nations to meet. It was essential that the Republic expanded its knowledge of the world, following rumors of foreign powers distant, yet close enough to be of relevance to the wellbeing of the people and the nation itself. More roleplay to be added, once some things are sorted out. Nation Info: Government: Republic, ruled by 120 senators (lifetime positions). 4. 42 – Beyond “For there are decisions to make, and every decision made creates a new timeline. A timeline that begins then and perishes at the end of all time.” – 42nd Guardian. “A guardian is a being interconnected through all timelines, omnipresent and fully aware of the events in other timelines. With the chaos sowed by the dark guardian, others were able to stop it, others were not. In this aspect of my being, it never came to the climax that would tear and devour this home of ours. This time, it was on even terms for everyone, growing out of their infancy of their planets, no longer tied to their single homeworld, their cradle, but just beginning to set out onto the stars.” – “And then? What happens next?” – “Young one, what happens next is never certain, for it is all about making decisions and pursuing one very distinct string of time.” The tale of Onwards has reached its culmination, with combined forces, the races of the 42nd galaxy were able to hold off and ultimately destroy the Drag’nix, but the losses were severe. A struggle that would not be mirrored every time in every timeline. In this one, there were no Ar’gakari, no dealings between guardians of different galactic clusters. Just, home. And home alone. A new and different era, of exploration of first contacts, of meeting others. Beyond. Welcome to Beyond, yet another sci-fi nation FRP, set in another timeline, set in another universe altogether. At this point, assuming you are familiar with it, I do not have to go into too much detail about the whole FRP. If you do not know nation FRPs, it's about you basically guiding your nation's path through time. As opposed to the predecessor Onwards, Beyond takes place starting in the year 2200, after the first few decades of spaceflight for the races native to this galaxy. There has not been any first contact yet, as space is vast and distances are still traversed with low powered above light speed drives. The choice of planets you call home is yours. They can be lush continental worlds such as Earth, or a barren desert planets alike Mars. Maybe you even prefer hiding under thick atmospheres like Venus, or the blank coldness of a moon like Europa. What you have to do is fill in this fancy app beneath, and then proceed to the map, mark the square you aim for at the start (preferably somewhere in the central area) and then send me your location PRIVATELY (for pleasant surprises ;), maybe some start right next to eachother). --- Starting parameters Population Everyone begins with a population of five billion. Please check the game rules for additional info regarding that. Starting technology (a brief list) Nuclear Power Fusion Power Ballistic weaponry Crude Laser Technology (Industrial and Mining) Fusion Drives (Allow for Stellar and limited interstellar travel) Biodome construction (for stellar objects without atmosphere) Basic space station construction Basic space ship construction (built in ground and orbital facilities) Basic interstellar medicine (vaccines against most new bacteria and viruses are rather easily researched, hard cases can occur still and pose problems. Negative effects on biological bodies from space travel and prolonged stay in space are all solved.) 6. Republic of Danwent – 1514 “Dead?” – “Yes, senator. All of them.” comes the quiet but shaken reply from the unit commander. The news were dire. A foe unknown and unexpected raided the coasts of the Republic, killing many, leaving a trail of blood and mist behind. Not strictly noted as a punishment of the Elder Soul, it was clear the Republic had to act. And act soon. Following such, Thoryus Armon, Otto Mikkelbach and Hasoran Alaari, a newly appointed General of the Republic took off, marching to the coastlines with troops to ensure peace and safety for the citizens. Whoever this foe might be, he avoided the bigger towns and cities at the coast at least, given they were much better protected, with soldiers there. Local lawkeepers however were little to oppose a well armed and organized force. At the same time, the galleys of the Republic were mobilized, to patrol the very long coastline of the Republic, not directly to engage in combat, but to perhaps catch a glimpse of however was attacking, deterring them with their presence if possible. Dionius Liber is being sent to the Symon Empire, with request to speak to the Prince who signed the treaty back then, as the news arrived that they themselves were attacked by this ominous enemy as well. On a lighter note, perhaps to distract the population from such an event, the first Games of the Republic were announced in Tzaria. A sport and talent competition for martial and physical activities of all sort. Whilst there was local qualification, for citizens to try to be amongst the best in the respective categories for their nation, representing them in the end, invitations to participate were sent out to the Empire of Bordealeux, the Kingdom of Numeria, the Symon Empire, the Galaharian League, the Librarians were invited, the Eadni were given a missive too, should they be willing to send someone, as well as Fyr Darrick. Should other nations catch wind of this event, they are free to notify the Republic to receive and invitation as well, to dispatch their most talented competitors. The challenges for the First Games of the Republic would entail: Spearthrowing. Running. Swordfighting. Archery. Riding. Hand to hand. The winner for each category would take home 500 unmarked gold coins in the standard Duwat form and weight for their country. This event should bolster the mercantile activity and influx of travellers and adventures from abroad, hopefully bringing fresh ideas and more coin into the Republic itself. The Prosperous Path party specifically is behind it. More roleplay to be added, once some things are sorted out. Nation Info: Government: Republic, ruled by 112 senators (lifetime positions). 8. Epilogue 2163 and onwards,... “Fifty-five years ago, mankind left Earth. They embarked on a journey that would lead them through a time marked by violence, ambition, cruelty, but also prosperity, peace and even hope. Tethering on the brink of extinction the Humans found themselves at odds with one another, but also at odds with the world around them. Foreign, they all were, other races, other beings like them. Sentient, intelligent, loyal, deceitful, power-hungry, vigilant, quiet and loud. Dozens of races. Left with no choice, most of man decided that it was important to show strength and live with these foreign entities. For some it was rewarded, for others it was punished. Because as mankind was mankind, these other species were themselves. In the end however, nobody was able to foresee those years ago, that it would come to these circumstances, that their home galaxy, the Milky Way would be in the path of not a destructive, but devouring storm that was raging across the universe. Man caught in the midst of it all, unexpectedly, unprepared, but not giving up hope, continuing their endless struggle against what seemed a determined fate of extinction… what follows are some of their stories, events that transpired in this timeline. The Drag’nix. The sickness that plagues the universe, the remnant of a war between the mightiest there are, the Guardians. When the universe came into existence, it was the highest instance that created the guardians, with the purpose of being guiding and as the name says, guarding entities of the galactic clusters they were assigned to. Eons came and went. The first galactic cluster, where the first Guardian was born to observe, learn and guide whatever species may come, was the birthplace of this universe spanning conflict. This first Guardian was flawed, as he had a shadow lingering with him, that manifested itself soon enough to become what is known as Guardian Zero. Both bound to the First Galactic Cluster, they were at odds of how things should go amongst these oceans and lakes of stars. As Guardian Zero was denied a galaxy to maintain and watch over, he grew increasingly angered about all the other Guardians who were born and assigned to the new galaxies that were forming at that time. Jealous of all the other guardians and intent to destroy it all to make it even for everyone, so nobody would have any stars to protect, he made the Drag'nix. Mind you, that is their Alduu’uuranean name. They have as many names as galaxies have encountered them. The Drag’nix began to fester and devour the whole first galactic cluster. Star by star. Unable to do anything, as they were protected by the very essence of his twin, Guardian One fled. At some point in time nobody knows how time had passed, he arrived in the Milky Way. The local guardian, 42 was fully aware of his presence, but as he was young he could not know what was going to happen. Life had yet to form in the Milky Way. Guardian One was a step ahead and gave life to a species that would later become the Firstborn. The Saryn. He had the intention that they would be able to protect the Milky Way for their Guardian from the Drag’nix. After creating chosen species in as many galaxies as he could, he returned to the first galaxy, only to find his twin having grown stronger steadily. More and even mightier Drag’nix were his creations, as they chewed away at all that was left. At this point Guardian One only had one choice, a decision these immortal and insanely powerful beings usually don’t make. The First Guardian destroyed himself along with his shadow, exterminating them both entirely from existence. At least that was the plan, but as the Drag’nix were made, Guardian Zero gave them his very essence and their final order before he perished. Devour it all. Psionic powers stem from the guardians. They manifest in some species, and not in others, then to various degrees too. The Drag’nix was a species that was inherently psionic, as by the essence of Guardian Zero. But so were the Saryn who were made by the First Guardian. Amongst them one was born with the name Royall. He had so much power concentrated in him, that he was capable of manipulating whole worlds at his leisure. Following the Zyban’s folly in the creation of the Replicants, Royall sacrificed himself to have his mind incorporated in the massive weapon called the Terror of Daandaaril Loor. A weapon that can extinguish the life essence of an entire species in one stroke. This was foreseen by the first Guardian who knew that Royall would be integral to the time when the Drag’nix arrived in the Milky Way. The only question that remained unsolved up until then, what would the people of that very galaxy do? Forewarned by Royall’s former student Salraku Remvate, a Protorian, the 42nd guardian called the neighbouring guardians to aid, asking them to manipulate their chosen species to come over to help fight the Drag’nix if they’d arrive. That did not quite go as intended, as the young species were all but quarrelling children on a galactic sandbox as a tornado was approaching. Fighting eachother instead of preparing for the impending doom, Guardian 42 could only watch. And hope.” What follows are some events that transpired for the successor nations in these final years. “The Frontier Kolranate Affiliation, more of a ragtag band of tribesmen than a proper nation with clear defined rulers and boundaries would find itself soon pressed into full service for the Redon Imperium, a fate quite shared with all other Kolranates. Whilst the newly discovered psionic powers of their leader were outstanding, without the practice of decades he proved to be little more than a blip in the endless carnage that ensued when the Drag’nix broke through the desperate defences of the Allied Council and other species in the Milky Way. Their homeworld was consumed by the hordes without further ado, leaving very few alive who might even call them citizens of what once was called Utopia. The Commonwealth of Redskap suffered a less drastic fate, being rather out of harms way, and thanks to the tireless efforts of the Saryn and the nearby Ganvius, swarm incursions into their space were rare, allowing them to retain their infrastructure and nation. Their continuous efforts to provide production capacities and resources to the Allied Council, in later years even for free, proved to be beneficial to delaying the Drag’nix for as long as possible and to help protect as much of livable space as possible. Following the complete annihilation of the Eastern Galaxy over the span of two years, as well as the decisive losses of the battles at GTC-2 and Tassarea, nothing could stop the tide of Drag’nix as the former homeworlds of the Slavic Federation were consumed by the ravenous nature of those beings. Nira Usenko, a long-served ruler and then commander of the Republic would fall at Tassarea whilst in command of one of their Titan class ships. The president of the Republic dies on New Moscow, unwilling to leave behind the cold world he has come to love so much, detonating sixteen Xylorite warheads with him, breaking up large stretches of the planet’s surface, killing millions of Drag’nix. The capital system of the Human Republic was beset upon merely two days after the Grgl homeworld Xaplo fell victim to the swarm. However, whilst during the ground combat and defense the Drag’nix met their final demise in the Milky Way, they destroyed large stretches of the cityscape and killed hundreds of thousands of inhabitants and refugees. Upon advice of the Redon Koratak II., the Asgard Republic after sending countless soldiers to their death, isolated themselves underneath the thick icesheets of their homeworld in the frozen over underground city of the Saryn. This preserved them and with a complete shutdown spared them of the fate other worlds would suffer as they were consumed by the Drag’nix. Once the threat was over, Asgard returned to space, to find it forever changed. Four Tigers Holdings completely shut down as the last nearby bastion of Ar’gakari and Zaxx forces fell. With complete radio silence, they spent four years living in the shadows and the threat that a Drag’nix swarm might happen to come by and devour them as they did with others before. Five years after the death of the Drag’nix they sent a probe, merely to find endless stretches of dead space filled with the corpses and frozen remnants of what uses to be the most dangerous species of the universe. Sinchil Penrith would find herself robbed of a lot of wealth, as the Drag’nix ravaged and destroyed two thirds of Hephaestus’ space, assets and killed almost half of its inhabitants. As her father was publicly executed for murdering her very own mother, she had grown to resent society and cared little for the losses, as she soon returned to be the matriarch of Hephaestus, ready and eager to rebuild, repair and most importantly, profit. The State of Elysium was a beacon of hope to the last. With the Zaxx’s fortifications and manpower that flooded in, they were able to withstand the onslaught for four years, until they ran out of ammunition and energy, with the Drag’nix rolling over their space and consuming everything they could grab hold of. Not all was lost, as the Ar’gakari voluntarily picked up as many citizens and people of Elysium as they could on their World Ships and left straight for Andromeda. There they would find themselves another world, given for their steadfastness in all things, to rebuild. In this new world where a sentient AI was so integrated into society, Michael finally came to terms with himself and found the peace and purpose he so long sought after. The Han Dominion secluding themselves in the far distance from the terror from the North was facing internal issues. Following the instability on Rontus, they were uncovered to be the primary cause for the World War that ensued on that world, which devolved into a nuclear exchange including newly crudely built Xylorite weapons. Billions died, leaving the Rontan with several thousands left, that were forcibly resettled into Ganvius space. Following these events, the Han Dominion suffered a swift occupation war, where the Ganvius simply overtook control and begun digging everywhere. They uncovered the extent of Shi Yimu’s complicity, they uncovered New Siam’s infiltration and much, much more. After the end of the Drag’nix, they remained under occupation of the Ganvius Nation. Tony Blaze was able to witness the greatest defeat of the Allied Forces at GTC-2. The enormous space station acted as an anchor for the frontline, a bulwark in the tide, but even a combined armada of Skellar, Libellans, Pi’terroer, Keerim and Protorians were unable to hold it. GTC-1 fell already in 2164, along with Andorra and Tony Blaze was able to witness the grandest spectacle of space combat just outside his window. For him, it was a sense of relief, with a conflicted nature about his self-imposed immortality, tethering on the edge between machine and man, finally coming to a rest. And as both Trade Centers were destroyed, so was the Trade Federation, the remaining assets being snacks on their route South for the Drag’nix, and whatever was left, was integrated into either Hephaestus or simply dissolved into nothing. Surrounded by allies, Britannia went unscathed, with merely a single swarm tendril passing by to strike at Proteum Davun, the Protorian homeworld. Their arms and weapons were used to their full extent against the monsters, but at that point in time it was already irrelevant how advanced or developed something was, as long as it could shoot and kill Drag’nix. Edward was able to witness the end of the Drag’nix incursion, taking his last breath three weeks after the end, in presence of the widowed Seelil and the young Isayll who had grown very fond of the old human, always begging him to tell stories about literally everything. He died without having to suffer, Alfred, who was present as well, succeeded to the throne without issue, ready to lead an intact nation of refreshed and hopeful people into the future.” These are only some of their stories and the events that transpired in these past years for mankind. Other races had their share of misfortunes as well. Of these galactic heroes, many died in the following years, giving their lives for the greater good, for their home, and for the future of the other galaxies out there. “Koratak II. Redon, who lost the entirety of the Karass Dominion with billions of the inhabitants to the encroaching swarm, died in the final battle at Daandaaril Loor, holding a corridor alone with two Redon Houseguards against two hundred Drag’nix war beasts. The corridor was one door away from the command ring where the console to decide a race’s fate would sit. Margek died in the battle of the Saryn capital world, protecting the evacuation of civilians to Ganvius space. His final words were “I ******* hate you all.” Antor of Solot’Dohol died at the successful defense of Proteum Davun, where he gave his life in a mighty psionic attack to protect the archive at the governmental complex from several Drag’nix Titan beasts. Kradoku Remvate lived through the war, to in the end, after the final Allied Council talks, leave the Milky Way together with the Pi’terroer to their home galaxy, whom he was able to convince to help defend the Milky Way and completely turned around, once he showed them what compassion meant and what feelings truly were, something the Pi’terroer long sought after, but never were able to witness. Thadon Datrax did not witness the end of the war, dying to his contracted illness in 2165. He was succeeded by his eldest son, Mathen Datrax. Mathen died in the same year in command of one of the last warfleets of the Lithruan Empire, defending Daandaaril Loor. Thadon’s second son, Myrdun Datrax became the Emperor then and continued his father’s legacy after the war. Borb of Trut would live on and assumed a major role as one of the leaders of the remaining Milky Way, with his goal to revive the empty and dead planets and star systems and slowly, step by step, restore the beauty and diversity this galaxy once had. Haldar Sondar died of old age in 2164. He was distraught over the execution of his once pupil John Penrith and never really came over it, oddly fond of the fellow. Salraku Remvate survived the attack on Proteum Davun and successfully led the defense of it. He led the final talks and remained a leading person next to Borb of Trut in the restoration of the Milky Way, as well as remaining the Archivar for the time to come. Ral, or also known as Elroar Alran, lived to see the end of the Drag’nix War in 2167, but passed away several months later, as his advanced age caught up with him. He died peacefully in sleep. For his then best friend, Shi Yimu, he left all his personal possessions, something Yimu would not come to enjoy for long, as he was killed by an unknown assailant. Chaal took command of the Black Fleet and managed to save millions of people from all races where ever she could, sacrificing almost nothing. Her psionic capabilities were able to confuse and slow the Drag’nix, when amplified, but only for so long, as her melodies were adapted to by the Drag’nix within an hour. After the war she assumed another leading role in the restoration of the galaxy. Doh’patal died on board of a light cruiser of the black fleet she commanded, in defense of Daandaaril Loor. She was able to buy the Allies the needed time to re-activate the formerly disabled and reprogrammed defense systems of the facility.” The list could go on forever, as there are many more stories to be told of these events and of these people, big and small. Everyone played a role, a role foreseen, a role unexpected. But it must not be forgotten, that this is only one timeline, where mankind has survived. There are others. Others, beyond Onwards.
  9. Republic of Danwent – 1512 News of the failed venture for Esorvor trickled into the steadily growing capital city of Tzaria, and even further at its heart, into the great hall of the Senate, where now many more seats were occupied by new Senators from all over the growing Republic, even with two new political parties staking their claim. A new dress code “inofficially” was introduced as the various parties were wearing distinctly colored robes from eachother to ascertain who belongs to whom. For most, it was convenient as with so many new faces not everyone was quite known to eachother yet, and it eased finding friends and foes alike in the eternal debating club the Senate often proved to be. Regardless, Esorvor was on everyone’s mind. And thus the Senate came to a very quick but blunt conclusion. Send them again. And send troops with them. Crack down on the banditry and gently remind the troops of Sehmon and Ischyros, that they should avoid harassing the citizens of Danwent, lest they tarnish the very promise and word of their ruling dynasty. Thoryus Armon himself left, chosen by the Senate, to lead the second attempt at settling in such a strategic spot. For all the Republic wanted, was prosperity for all. On the other hand, the scholars of Sehmon received a grand welcome, with all their needs fulfilled and freely introduced to the spectator stands, where they were provided with writing and drawing materials, as well as guides that explained to them (in quiet of course, during active sessions of the Senate) as to how it works. They elaborate that within the Republic of Danwent, a single man or woman has a certain degree of rights and that these rights must lawfully be represented, and this through the local region’s senators. Depending on the status of the region (focused around distinct settlements, towns and cities) the region would receive a certain amount of seats in the senate. Within those regions, as this was a recent development, the people who are registered there as inhabitants and therefore citizens, were eglible to vote or to be voted for, for these seats. All things considered this would lead up to a total of 92 seats currently active. Senators would be chosen for lifetime however. Otto Mikkelbach was named the leader of the newly formed “Frontier” party. A born Carrowman, who arrived along with the other 27,000 refugees from the Carrowlands, the first Senator of the newly formed town of Hybria, where all the carrow people were directed to. Similarly, the devout Kaylius Sarnari was appointed as leader of the newly formed Adherence Party, their political stance was one of faith and devoutness. The ongoing battles of Numeria and Sehmon bring more corpses down the river at Koryii, where they are carefully fished out, cleaned, embalmed and placed in humble wooden coffins, distinctively marked with a known symbol of each nation, given the remnants could be identified. These coffins are offered to the nations to be returned, otherwise they would be buried in a graveyard south of the city. At the same time, living soldiers of Numeria were apprehended as they were fleeing into the Republic’s territory. The 250 men were cared for and healed to the best capabilities of the people of Danwent, but retained in house arrest. In respect to that, Aywentos Rumaari, as the original spokesman for Danwent in the talks with Numeria would be sent over to discuss what is to happen to these runaways. The new leader of the Adherence Party, Kaylius Sarnari is being sent over (with a respective guardforce) to the Carrowlands, to contact the Bordeleaux, as the matter of the Suntemple in Salthands Delta was still unresolved. Whilst they also inquired with the Fortress Librarians, more avenues of inquiry might be insightful, and the Bordeleaux men were followers of the bright one, the sungod. Lastly, Theodos Abemani was seen to set sail for the League of Galahar. With an interesting proposal in mind. Nation Info: Government: Republic, ruled by 92 senators (lifetime positions). The former are carefully reminded that acting against the citizens of the Republic does quite much go against the treaty the Imperial Prince has signed in the name of his father, and that by intentionally going with such misconduct they are slandering the very word and promises of their ruling dynasty, something that would not be really coming for such a noble and powerful nation and family. 10. Republic of Danwent – 1511 The year begins with the finalization of the previously kept silent electoral reform. Each city now holds ten seats in the Senate, with Tzaria as the capital holding twenty. Townships are holding eight and settlements four. This reform was pushed for the demand of more representation amongst the population. Naturally this event massively bolstered the amount of seats in the Senate itself, and with it comes a new frontier spirit as people who wish for representation, seek to found new settlements that are acknowledged by the Capital’s administration. The coming year would decide which parties are present in the Senate and how numerous some of them may be... Nation Info: Government: Republic, ruled by 50 senators (lifetime positions). 14. Republic of Danwent – 1508 One battle and already peace on the horizon. Whilst the Republic did not win, neither did their declared enemy. Given the circumstances however Aywentos who led the battle and parley afterwards had to pay quite the price. Political bankruptcy, for the sacrifice of the young men of Danwent. For bringing back not much but a reparation demand. And for allowing to be manipulated into bringing this to the Senate, as well as manipulating the other senators to vote yes. Aywentos Traditionalist League shattered in these few months, leaving Aywentos and only two other senators as the remains of it. No longer with the majority in the Senate, he was forced to more or less relinquish control to the Commoner’s League, led by Dionius Liber, who maintained their bond with the Prosperous Path, the two of them now with a good majority. Still willing of pursuing peace and grudgingly accepting that there needs to be a payment for such a frivolous act of diplomacy from the Republic, Dionius Liber invites the Sehmon King to Tzaria to visit, to tour the capital, meet the people he might call friends in the future. And also take the 10,000 Duwats with him as a farewell present once his visit is concluded. Such groveling is despised by the Stalwart Guard, but as they also voted for the war, their opinion was mostly ignored, although surprisingly, they only lost one meek senator, as the rest remained strong behind Thoryus Armon. 16. Republic of Danwent – 1506 It’s a mostly quiet year, with a lot of political maneuvering in the background one could say. The balance of power in the Senate shifts uncomfortably. The Stalwart Guard gains two members, the Commoner’s league losing two. A senator shifts from the Prosperous path to the Traditionalist League, as well as one signing off to be unaffiliated. The Alliance of the Commoners, Traditionalists and Prosperous Path manage to still hold the vast majority in the Senate. Nation Info: Government: Republic, ruled by 50 senators (lifetime positions). Traditionalist League: 14 Senators Commoner’s League: 12 Senators Prosperous Path Party: 11 Senators Stalwart Guard: 11 Senators Unaffiliated: 2 Senator People of note: Aywentos Rumaari (Senator of the Traditionalist League), aged 30 Dionius Liber (Senator of the Commoner’s League), aged 32 Theodos Abemani (Senator of the Prosperous Path Party), aged 30 Thoryus Armon (Senator of the Stalwart Guard), aged 33 Population: 5,349,712 this year. For the commoners, a specified fair wheat price is the goal, but for such, the supply needs to be sufficient. Whilst the farmers might disagree with the loss of potential income (able to sell wheat at a higher price), they are however taxed less to compensate for such. It’s a move of deregulation, promoted by the Prosperous Path. The Commoner’s League signs in, the Traditionalists are indifferent about it, partially supporting and abstaining, with the Stalwart Guard maintaining the opposition. (-30,000 Duwats for 6 stretches of farmland) The underground temple in the Salthand Delta is being turned more and more into a holy site, with the continous investments flowing in. The freedom of the citizens of the Republic must be safeguarded at all cost. 17. Republic of Danwent The opposition just received a new face. A man of ambition, clearly. A voice of blunt and proud promises. Appealing to the masses. Enticing them. Thoryus Armon, who in a swift motion got elected by the people and gathered the support of eight senators. Including himself, it gives him 9 votes. His agenda: War and military. Protection of borders. The returned Aywentos and his Traditionalist League soon find some common ground with the Stalwart Guard, the party of Thoryus. However, his allies Theodos and Dionius and their party members strongly declined the agenda of the newcomer, stating it was too aggressive, did neither preserve peace nor prosperity. Their goal was neutrality and growth. Nothing more. Nothing less. For most matters the Stalwart Guard remained in the opposition, with the triple alliance of the other parties running things smoothly. But things might yet change, depending on the political and international climate. Aywentos was already wary about exactly that. 18. Republic of Danwent It was a rare sight, but that’s what it was. Not just one, but two senators at the same time helping to build. With their very own hands. Theodos, fresh father of twin girls, was covered in dust, dirt on his nose, carting stone bricks along with fellow citizens of the Republic, inhabitants of Tzaria. His project for this very year was to establish the trade port of Tzaria, fully functional with the capacity to house traders from abroad. Whilst Susvii where he spent the previous year, was growing nicely, it was not quite ready to accommodate the traffic that a trade port would bring along with it. So it was Tzaria first, and he’d do his best to make it right. The picture was very similar further into the city in the holy district, where the first proper temple of the Republic for the Elder Soul was beginning to grow. Dionius, with a pregnant wife of his watching was laying brickwork for the very temple he had dreamed of. And whilst doing so, with the intent to appease the Elder Soul, to bless him with many healthy sons and daughters. Whilst his two friends were busy with interior affairs, Aywentos himself was busy with the coronation of the new King of Sehmon. A trade partner it was, and for such the connections had to be kept up, relations to be maintained. The year also held some less enjoyable, but important news. Two senators recently died, one of sickness, the other of simple age at 68. With these new positions open, there was a race in the Republic as it has been in the past centuries, a popular event, which brought out many candidates from all over, assembling in the cities, debating and discussing. After all, any citizen could become a Senator. And any citizen could vote for his favorite candidate. Activity and new wind, fresh motivation for the people overall and praises for the three young Senators who were leading them were countless! Nation Info: Government: Republic, ruled by 50 senators. 19. Republic of Danwent “A wedding? I mean, we just returned from Theodos’ wedding. And he took his new wife and left for Susvii, leaving us in Tzaria to look after things?” – “Yes, Aywentos, it appears as such. Whilst the other Senators of his party are clearly supporting us, it does not mean they will not think for themselves and prove as roadblocks in one matter or the other. Anyhow, we need to send a representative to the coronation of the new King of Sehmon. And, I am getting married in two weeks.” – “Well, being a single man is very freeing, but gives you more obligations than you’d like by times... oh well. I will go. Let’s bring it up in the upcoming Senate session tomorrow. Will you look after the excavation you are not so much a friend of?” – “Yes, yes. What we have found by now has changed my mind, I admit. It is curious, it could be a temple, or worse, a tomb. I don’t want to unearth any curses, so we should confer with the priests soon. And allocate funds to temples and shrines.” – “Next year, Dionius, next year.” The two young senators continue chatting as they cross the grand plaza of Tzaria, headed towards the central Council building, where the Senate holds its meetings and where new laws are announced by criers. Tzaria was prosperous and busy, a fresh wind has been blowing through the nation, spirited on by the souls of the three Senators Aywentos, Dionius and Theodos. 20. Republic of Danwent New faces that bring new prosperity. New opportunities for the people of Danwent. Jobs, homes and new frontiers. The current direction of the trialition of the Senators Dionius, Aywentos and Theodos is to prosper and grow, the Republic, their people and the borders. Susvii within the borders of the Republic to the South, to provide new opportunities to the merchants, a future site to build a trade center for the whole region. Wessevith in the North, to claim more of the lands that lie beyond the Duwent and Esswent River. Other than that, nothing of note occurs, aside from Theodos’ marriage that is being celebrated with the common people of the city of Tzaria. It’s a quiet and prosperous year. 21. Republic of Danwent Another year has dawned on the peaceful Republic of Danwent. Little news and activities marked the previous decade, but now since the ascension of the three young men Aywentos Rumaari, Dionius Liber and Theodos Abemani to Senator, there was a fresh wind coming to blow within the nation. The ambition and eagerness of the trio was remarkable, and they themselves equally persuasive towards the other Senators and powerholders in the Republic. Albeit there were a handful of hardliners that were keen on preserving the status quo as much as possible, the remaining senators were convinced that the trio was necessary to bring new prosperity and get rid of the (fat and lazy) stagnation they had in the past years. Aywentos and Dionius both garned the support of twelve senators each, Theodos able to gain the support of another thirteen. This political coalition of fourty senators of their otherwise different opinions and views would give them the power they needed to push reforms and reshape the nation as times needed it. The remaining ten senators banded together to maintain the opposition, for better or worse. After long and tedious sessions it was decided that the populace was lacking certain produce in their diet. The allocation of funds to construct additional farmsteads was therefore granted with the grand majority of 100%. As money is a commodity that should flow, between workers and merchants and craftsmen, a central guild building was proposed and promptly agreed upon to be constructed in the capital city of Tzaria. The excavation of the Salthand Delta was only barely passed, with Theodos and Aywentos and their Senators just barely managing a majority. The Commoner’s league was opposed, although less concerned with the outcome. To quote Dionius: “We could have saved the Duwats for more dire times, but what comes first, comes first.” Last was the envoy from the neighbouring Kingdom of Numeria. Whilst there was not much of note to be heard in the past decades, aside from usual infighting monarchies tend to have, it’s the first time they sent an envoy and actively reached out to the Republic. Naturally, the request for trade was granted, equally inquiring if their own merchants may traverse the Kingdom to sell their produce. Nation Info: Government: Republic, ruled by 50 senators. 23. Nation Name: Republic of Danwent BRIEF History: The Republic of Danwent and its preceding national identities trace back to the oldest settlements of mankind in the world. “Historians” claim that Danwent was the cradle of all of mankind, although there are little notable landmarks showing such. The only thing that remains is the high amount of people that live within the Republic’s borders, kept safe by its bronze legion. What is notable, is that for the entirety of its existence, Danwent has been a Republic, with an electoral system where originally the chieftains of the founding tribes came together, bound my a shared tongue and shared beliefs, to choose five amongst them to be their leading council in matters of greater importance, that affected every tribe in the region, whether they wanted or not. Memories of the old Empires that were once, have faded and were forgotten, sometimes curious objects resurfacing from those centuries ago. And as such Danwent grew in number, but stagnated in innovation and progress. Old methods were reused over and over again, the people remained happy, satisfied and lazy, going about their daily lives and not looking outward, considering themselves safe for all eternity. It was just that the recently elected senators, three at once, were all great minds alike, and whilst they were indeed glad that it was peaceful and prosperous, it would not last, and had to be secured, should ever something bad happen. Aywentos Rumaari, Dionius Liber and Theodos Abemani. These three young men were the dreamers that would lead Danwent into a bright future, or its decay and final ruin. Nation Culture: Human, Danwenti, part of the Central Arosi culture group. Nation Government System: Republic, a Senate of fifty Senators chosen for lifetime by the chosen mayors and representatives of the hamlets, towns and cities. Economy: 4 points into economy. An economy mostly based on agriculture and the animal husbandry, Danwent also produces lumber in the logging areas of the Western domains. The lifestyle of the majority of the people is quite simple and basic, there is not so much of a wealth discrepancy between the people in the cities and the people of the land, which is reflected in the general population density, with merely a third of the population living in cities, the remainder sprawled throughout hamlets and little townships across the land. Education: 3 points into education. Whilst falling short on general education, with mostly the inhabitants of the cities being partially able to read and write, along with general shortcomings of metalworking, stone construction and shipbuilding (fishing hasn’t been a strong point yet, despite the easy access to sweet and saltwater fish), the population of Danwent has learned well how to facilitate the flow of water, with irrigation grids spanning the wide plains near the central rivers. After all, such a massive population must have massive access to food and other supplies. Size (include rough area on map): 8 points into size. Total population of 4,500,000. 1 capital city. 2 major cities. Military: 4 points into military. 10 companies of T1 Regular Medium Infantry. 5,000 men Namely, the Bronze Legion of Danwent. Armed with round thick bronze shields, decently long iron tipped spears, as well as simple iron swords, wearing leather armor, topped with a simple skullcap of bronze. 10 companies of T1 Regular Light Archers. 5,000 men Lightly dressed in fur and leather, these archers are meant to skirmish and harass before withdrawing behind the Bronze Legionaires. Mysticism: 2 points into mysticism. Pantheon of the Elder Soul. Fat and complacent, the pursuit of magic and otherworldy arts was long forgotten, merely shrines and small temples in the towns and cities of the nation were utilized to conduct mass for the Elder Soul and the ancestors of the people. Key Figure 1: Aywentos Rumaari. Senator. Key Figure 2: Dionius Liber. Senator. Key Figure 3: Theodos Abemani. Senator. Unique Unit: Bronze Legion. Replaces the Medium Infantry. Excels in combat on plains and open areas, able to utilize formations well, shield-and-spear walls, but is definitely not lackluster in close quarter combat. Hidden Fruit: Potato. Cabbage. Lichi. Ananas. Tomato. Wheat. Carrots. Apples. Strawberries. Stuff they grow.
  24. Chapter I: The Great Wars (Ended) Chapter II: Old Shadows (Ended) Chapter III Act 1: N’Fe a Te (Ended) Chapter III Act 2 - Endgame Alea iacta est The Alduu’uuranean Protectorate was no more. A region of space fully overrun by a species that showed no remorse, did not reason, did not argue, but just came to kill and consume. The Drag’nix are advancing, steadily, never tired, always hungry. And thus millions of people are fleeing South. South, south, south, to safety, to gain distance between themselves and the maws of monsters. In the West, the frontlines against the Ar’gakari have grinded to a halt, thanks to the steady efforts of the Allied nations under command of Antor. However, the Zaxx and Rak’nak’thax remain cut off, encircled by Ar’gakari now, unable to render assistance or be helped. What appears to be of help is that the Ar’gakari have finally clashed with the Drag’nix, the battles apparently needing more of their strength as they might have anticipated. One may just hope yet. However, always forgotten, is the third threat in the East. And this year, 2162, would be a milestone for the Keerim Imperium. And what a milestone it was going to be. ----- Commonwealth of Redskap Aside from a system holding a rich rocky giant covered in Itoron they find nothing else of value. By Antor’s inquiry, on even exchange, the Shipyard capacities are being utilized to construct an assortment of destroyers and also Light Cruisers, to be manned by the Allied nations and to join the fight on the frontlines in the West. The new colonies find their homes on worlds ranging from lush and forested to dry steppelands. The State of Elysium Encircled and cut off from the remainder of the galaxy, merely three nations remain with some kind of integrity. The Zaxx Empire hard pressed, short on combat craft and also losing a lot of manpower, the smaller nation of Rak’nak’thax and the State of Elysium. All they can do now is to dig in, to weather the Ar’gakari’s push. At least they have been given a moment of peace as the Ar’gakari have halted their advances, as they have clashed with the Drag’nix in the East. With the Zyrka now flooding into the State of Elysium, it brings new innovation and prosperity. The creation of new sentient Synthetics goes incredibly smoothly, the know-how of the Zyrka is truly amazing. Michael himself might just say yes, for he could be fully aware that his continued existence is rather secured by fighting than getting slaughtered. Asgard Republic As the many allies before have tried and failed. The Ar’gakari technologies are like riddles, like living entities that defy any foreigner attempting to crack or access them. Kingdom of Britannia/Silver Knight Corporation And with tenous effort and exhausting the majority of the accumulated Dakite supplies, they finish the construction of the Dreadnought. A ship of such resilience it can barely be fathomed. The Android and Synthetic research is in early steps, setting on from present robotics research, but with little experience and know-how at hand, it’s going to be a long and tedious task. Human Republic With the additional access from the Allied Council to technologies further beyond and scraping together what there is on record and still exists physically (namely the Protorian Avatar vessels), a functional schematic that passes all standard stress tests and mechanical requirements is finally developed and ready to be built. However it requires a shipyard of substantial capacity and is certainly a very expensive investment. The Han Dominion The Rontan homeworld delves deeper into its world war. More nations of both Attuse and Kachak begins to join in, the resources and manpower invested into this conflict is on an unprecedented scale (for the Rontan). It’s a stalemate that does not appear to be broken quite yet, but Attuse clearly has the technological advantage and continued superiority on sea and air, access to more needed resources, food and supplies. The Ganvius Nation has sent ambassadors by now in order to negotiate with the combatants to bring a peaceful solution of the world, and the Rontan Coalition, to warn them of the dangers that are out there in the galaxy right now, to warn them of the one war. The Great War. The Grand Polish Republic A grand archive is being set up and begins to store the sheer endless amounts of data and information accessible from the Allied Nations. However, the people assigned to this might require funding from the state in order to successfully and more quickly proceed with the further expansion of this archive. It might even become a copy of what the Protorians have on Proteum Davun. United Baltic Confederacy The Western Galactic Barrier it’s being called. With engineers and scientists and generals from allied nations all over working on it, just behind the frontlines against the Ar’gakari, a network of the most deadly and well fortified solar systems is being erected. High-capacity detection in every system to observe every move of the enemy, resupply stations, battle fortresses glaring with guns and turrets and so forth. But to be fully operational the way it’s intended it requires more men. More resources. And much more time. Hephaestus Industries The Zyrka in said area of space do not really fall for Hephaestus’ bait. Remaining mostly isolationist, they appear to focus on rebuilding a functional Zyrka society, with the millions of refugees that have flooded in from the North. Trade Federation An astounding breakthrough is being made in regards to all research projects. A dire discovery. ((Skype)) Kyber Kore With Kyber Kore’s affinity for research, they continue to do... exactly that. With the fresh data from all the Allied nations, new perspectives, opportunities, options thought impossible or dismissed are now being explored. And within the span of a year, results become visible. And the Allied Council is pleased, ready and willing to fund Kyber Kore more for additional research subjects they deem necessary. Antor himself approves of it, and inquires about Kyber Kore’s plans for the future. ((Skype)) Frontier Kolranate Affiliation The Redon remains quiet about the FKA’s intentions, but he... lets them do as they wish. Naturally the Zyrka are bewildered by the sudden aggression of this particular group of Humans. The Kolran himself is soon to be found of the rare alignment of Chaos, with seemingly boundless potential. Amongst the drafted men and women, about a quarter show psionic affinities, albeit in majority rather small. United States Of Arcturus Armed up, slow but devastatingly dangerous, the massive battle station is reminiscient of the Ar’gakari world ships. Perhaps it’s capable of standing toe to toe with one, although that still needs to be proven. What is more imminent for the USA is the third enemy in the East. The Incursion, for dire news are coming in. ----- Allied Nations & Events The African Union, the Latin American Federation and New India have been evacuated, nine million humans brought to safety in other human territories. But this would not suffice, as billions of Krib, Cevelli, Alduu’uuraneans, Adaptaar, H’wong and Cynn are flooding south, straining the resources of every nation that is there. And they are not running from the Ar’gakari, they are running from the Drag’nix. Protorian, Saryn, Galaron, Backhatta and Tassaran fleets are stemming the tide of the Drag’nix as well as they can, to allow the unceasing massive withdrawal and flow of refugees. The Allied Council is distributing the refugees as they can. The Keerim Imperium is breaking. The Keerim Empress has died, leaving three sons and a daughter behind, who are vying for the throne of the Imperium. The Ganvius are trying to negotiate as they can, to keep their Keerim allies focused on the fight against the Incursion which appears to have grown in strength and number, quite substantially. Thadon Datrax remains at Lithrua, his condition unchanged. The Lithruan Empire continues to tirelessly defend each sector of space from Drag’nix, Incursion and Ar’gakari. The First Archivar, Salraku Remvate returns from the dead, and calls an immediate emergency meeting with all galactic leaders on Proteum Davun. Those who can’t make it, are projected by holograph. Word has it, that a Korosi invasion fleet is being prepared in Ursa Minor, to be sent to the Milky Way. ----- Map In work. Yes, I know. ----- Year 2162 by Earth’s calendar.
  25. Archduchy of Camlorn The fifth year was marked with the victory of the young Archduke over the Orcish King at Northpoint. But such a victory was naturally due to the sacrifices made by the men of Northpoint as well. Regardless of it, having saved the Archduchess from the claws of the Orsimer, Silus was with all intent to continue the war, to rectify the injustices done to the Bretons in the past. All the while he continues to keep in touch with the Archduchess of Northpoint, both charmed by her beauty, as well as her kindness, which he understood as necessary. With burdened heart, but clear mind he continues the war against Orsinium. To Sentinel he sends notes of apology, as his forces are tied in combat with both Redguards and Orcs, West and East. The Kingdom of Rihad however proves to be a valuable ally to assist them in the current war against Gilane that has chosen to backstab them in the right time. Silus condemns both Gilane and Hegathe for their opportunistic and imperialistic behaviour, attacking realms in weakness and aiding unjust wars declared against peaceful lands. Income Base Income: 10,000 Septims Tax from Provinces (16/4=4): 8,000 Septims Income from Economic Investments (40k): 4,000 Septims Income from trade: Northpoint, Gilane, Sentinel, Rihad. 4 x 1,500 = 6,000 Septims Total: 28,000 Septims. Military Standing Army: 25,190 men, 5 catapults First Army (lined into second army) 3,000 Breton Light Infantry 2,000 Breton Heavy Infantry 5,000 Breton Archers 5 Breton Catapults Second Army (To Orsinium! And the surrounding lands mostly.) 4,000 Breton Light Infantry 4,500 Breton Heavy Infantry 6,500 Breton Archers 190 Breton Mages Actions Recruitment 4,000 Breton Archers (-2,000 Septims) 50 Breton Mages (-2,000 Septims) 4,000 Breton Light Infantry (-4,000 Septims) 4,000 Breton Heavy Infantry (-8,000 Septims) 5 Breton Catapults (-2,000 Septims) Silus begins courting the Archduchess, writing letters en route, as he travels with his second army, with personal visits to Northpoint in between. Naturally, and he makes no secret of it, does he wish to marry her, asking for her hand ever so often. Honesty is a strong point of his after all. ((Mod)) A diplomat is sent to the King of Orsinium, bringing a letter from the young Archduke himself. There is acknowledgement of the Orcish prowess in battle written in it, but also a simple statement of the intentions of Silus himself. The Western territories of the Orcish Kingdom are to be ceded, nothing more nothing less. With the hint, that it may be early to call it a victory for the Bretons, it is however advisable to make amends to save lives and focus on enemies more... relevant. ((Samo!)) The First Army, freshly reinforced simply increases the prepared fortifications and holdouts they already made those years ago, effectively encircling the city of Daggerfall too, which should run low on supplies by now, coming into the third year of isolation. Any approaching vessels in the harbor of Daggerfall are naturally harassed by archery fire from the nearby cliffs and mountains which the Bretons have long taken for themselves, knowing exactly what the Redguards are planning. At the same time catapults are now being brought into the prepared positions in order to lockdown the harbor too and destroy any anchored ships there. ((Mod)) – Later, still in the same year the hungered out troops of the Redguards surrender the city to the well-fed and highly moraled First army of Camlorn. As soon as they open the gates and disarm the foreigners, they bring much required food and supplies from the outlying countryside to the citizens as well as the new prisoners. They should not hunger, just because they were soldiers of another realm. To avoid fighting the Orcs on unfavourable terms, Silus orders the Second army of Camlorn to begin occupying/conquering the countryside around the city provinces. In addition to that, for their military alliance, he requests that the armies of Northpoint act in the same manner in the vicinity, to allow to aid eachother, should the Orcs make an attempt at attacking them, whilst doing so. ((Mod)) Supporter of the recently successful Archduke rally in all towns and cities of Camlorn for volunteers and contributions for the ongoing war against the Reguards and Orcs. The noble families of Camlorn are requested to send their professional retinues and retainers to support their liege in this justified defensive war against the Orsimer. With the promise of distributing newly gained holdings amongst the younger lordlings of these families and potential monetary recompensation after the war. ((Mod)) The captured Orsimer are disarmed and distributed in the cities of Camlorn, where they are to work and live amongst the Bretons, as armorers, smiths, carpenters, a few dedicated ones as hunters, to be integrated into the civilian life, slowly but steadily. The population should be shown that it is not them who are their enemies, but their leaders who have caused suffering and injustice. ((Mod)) Investments into the economy with the remainder of the yearly budget. (-10,000 septims)
