  1. Not the issue. The issue is that one character can do all of that. That's just like letting there be a character that has an Archon form, Keeper form, and Wraith form.
  2. That is incredibly similar to a Shade. The primary difference is that a Shade attempts to take control of the body, while this does not. That does not mean that they are both something attaching to the soul. This lore states that it interwine's with one's soul, exactly the same as Shade fusing with the soul. I had never stated that Archons have diseased souls, rather I'm speaking about these beings - at least my interpretation with it is that when there is an external entity using the Soul it is, to an extent, diseased. And yes, the Coil is very similar to that of a descendant; however there are some noticeable differences. I was simply stating possible examples as to why it couldn't. I'm not accusing this of being self serving lore, I want to make that completely clear. I'm speaking of magical drawbacks that are explicitly voidal, or may affect something like an Archon. Not something that may affect a Keeper. I like the lore, however it is simply not balanced to allow for someone to manifest their limbs as they please while also being a mist man. It is very different than normal weaponry, as one can change and control these changed things as they please. If you'd like to make an addition that those who are Afflicted and also have an altered soul via other means would struggle more to do these non-mundane things in combat then it would be balanced, however as it is now it isn't purely aesthetic. I mean, even one of your photos show a guy with basically tendrils. May be taking an incorrect interpretation out of that, however. The lore is good, it just isn't balanced to have a limb manipulating tendril wielding mist man.
  3. I can think of hordes of reasons as to why they couldn't. Such as the disease affecting the soul, you're surely aware that Archons are unable to become Shades - the same principle applies. Being corrupted is different than being diseased to the very soul. Or perhaps that their physical composition is quite different when compared to a descendant, or perhaps that the greater weakness that Archons have when compared to mages causes this to provide too much strain, or perhaps that as their bodies simply deteriorate from a lack of upkeep rather than death - they would be unaffected by such an illness. But that's all irrelevant, the reasoning behind it becoming Further Alchemy rather than a creature and why they no longer face magical drawbacks has an intent, that I may be wrong about, but is rather clear. You wish for your Archon to become Afflicted, do you not? Many pieces of lore have perfectly valid explanations, but aren't allowed due to balancing purposes. I'm sure I'm not the only person who sees issue with a sword arm body morphing man who also happens to be near perfectly attuned to the Void turning into mist and shooting off missiles from 30 meters. This is nothing against you, but I simply don't see that being balanced. Other than that I do quite like the lore. Particularly the addition of the longer-lasting body modifications. It adds another element to alchemy, a long forgotten element on the server.
  4. Can someone with an externally warped soul (ie an Archon) become Afflicted? If so, that sounds horribly problematic.

  13. what is with these word limits on the common app

  14. I'm pro gun but I don't believe this is the way it should be done. Not only is this basically a direct copy of what we had in real life, it also allows for pre loaded guns - which is the big issue.
  15. Amendment: Arcanium is only potent against tainted beings that would be affected by aurum if it is based off of aurum or slayersteel.
  16. ***** shooting Izkuthii masks is fun. But what happened to the weakness around the heart in unmasked form?
  17. Space needs to be expanded on, not even really related to the Space Elf meme. Only found out about Space lore being so... short(a few sentences in creation lore) while looking into the meme. And I'll fix that.
  18. Denied. This is an incredibly powerful potion, to put it quite simply it is OP. This is not something we can foresee ourselves implementing. The above three are accepted!
  19. please stop leaking from staff chats
  20. Yup! I added a note in there that they are often created culturally. However in a later lore submission I intend to make some that hold some actual significance on the universe.
  21. In the beginning there was nothing, an infinite ever expanding void of lost throughout all of existence. And then there was light. For a rift appeared within the plane of existence, and he who is known as the Creator was planted upon our realm. A rift now known as the Sun, home of the preserver and beacon of light within the Veil. Upon entering the realm he put breath into it, the creation of realm and realm anew - the creation of Aos. All would be lost if it were not for the Veil, the orb that surrounded every plane of existence and kept the chaos of the void at bay. All have an end, for an all powerful deity is no exception - and the Creator’s life was brought as a means of sacrifice. And the Stars were born, shards of the Creator left to keep the chaotic darkness of the Void at bay. For the Veil is what descendants refer to as ‘Space’. The Veil If one is to gaze into the apparent unending abyss that is the night he is to gaze into the abyss of the Veil. The Veil is an orb of creation that exists within the Void, all dimensions that may exist are within the Veil. It is the only thing that may soundly be referred to as a physical universe, that which contains anything more than rupturing chaos. Within the Veil truly is the everything as it may be comprehended by man, everything from the stale bread of a farmer to the golden realm of Xan. Every dimension that one’s knowledge may be blessed with is within the Veil, their peculiar shapes floating about within the cosmos. The Veil is known to be home to many creatures, some of a small friendly assortment to the Voidal Behemoths that may be deemed as physical embodiments of the Void’s nature. Rarely may these creatures breach the bounds of Aos, entering upon the landed continent that descendants deem home. This often results in scenes of sheer conflict, albeit rarely may an inhabitant of the Veil grow a fondness to that which exists upon the mortal plane. These creatures are the sole entities that may survive what is the Veil without some sort of reinforcement, for even an Archon would be breached asunder upon staying within the Veil without the proper preparations. The properties of the Veil are sparse and in between, very few notable characteristics of it. A massive amount of voidal energy resonates within the untempered space of the abyss; in a conglomeration to such an extent that it appears as glowing mist in streams throughout the darkness. A realm devoid of heat, nothing about to produce it. Differing rocks may occasionally escape a dimension and reach into the Veil, simply floating about and waiting to fall anew; asteroids. Often these asteroids may form in floating masses together, forming belts of nothing other than these assorted materials. If descendants were to somehow reach the Veil they would most likely find themselves at the door of death himself. The Veil possesses no air to be found, often a requirement for any living entity. Even beings of divine and dark nature would find themselves having difficulty finding immunity throughout, as the constant influx of Voidal energies harms any connection that may be formed. It is possible, however, to create structures if one were to find a means to transport the needed substances inside. The Veil is ever expanding, stars continuously pushing outwards and pushing the Void further at bay. As the Void is pushed away many entities may come about, bringing new planes into existence. Such is the nature of the Veil, for it is everything. The Sun Within the center of all that is known and all that is witnessed is the shining entity of the Sun. Truly nothing more than the the broken egg shell of the Creator himself, yet truly a great power that exists within the universe. The light it gives off being the most natural that may exist whilst being the most unique, its unique signature differentiating it from all other forms. The light is divine in its very own right, greater than that any sole Aengul may harness or bless. This light acts as the bane of many creatures warped within the soul, its essence beaming upon those that dare defy its natural order, dare defy the preservation of its logic. To the very core the Sun is nothing more than a voidal tear, merely creating to such an extent that it is unimaginable. Its sheer output of mana reflects in the light it projects, the plasma emanating about. If it were not for the tear left in the wake of the Creator’s birth there would be no seemingly infinite supply of mana, constantly refilling within a soul without so much as a thought; for it is the Sun that provides this much as a basic voidal tear does for a mana gem. The Preserver, the left hand of the Creator, rests seemingly dormant within the sun. Tasked with keeping existence within the vision of the Creator the watchful light of the sun beams over all and thus his gaze sweeps with it. The very cosmos inhabited manipulated at the beckoning of the Sun. The Stars Often do children gaze up into the sky at night, their unending curiosity wanting to be here and there. Often do astrologers spend their lives attempting to decipher the patterns of the cosmos. That which possesses the glow within the night sky, that which illuminates to create an unfeasible portrait, are the Stars. The Stars were born out of half of the Creator’s soul, left about the Veil without his strength to maintain it - to prevent closure of the Void. Only effective by taking in and destroying the mass amounts of voidal energies within itself, continuously seeping into the Veil whilst the Veil lays siege upon the Void in a means of expansion. Due to this these Stars are winning the battle, at least for now, expanding the inhabited universe with each passing day on the scale of the cosmos. The Stars sit at the edge of the Veil, taking upon many different shapes and formations as one would expect. These formations may be referred to as constellations, an order of stars that exist throughout. Each individual culture may adapt their own set of these constellations, whether it be for religious, historical, or perhaps scientific purposes. It was through the Stars that every Aengul and Daemon was born, and it is through the Stars that their fallen kin rest. One would only expect for every Star to possess an unimaginable amount of power when a single Star may create an Aenguldaemon, when a single Star may alter the balance of the entire world. One may occasionally witness a beam of light soaring through the night sky, a star falling from the heavens above. Such is the result of death, when a star has run out of energy to maintain itself. The Planes of Existence Existence waning and teetering, every edge of which that is known consistently rupturing upon the piano of time. One key pressed and an Aengul is born, their crystal form rising out of the shining stars of the heavens. Another key pressed and the Aengul takes dominion upon their own plane, forging the light of the divines into each pillar and rock that is of his own volition. The birth of a new realm has as such ensued. Countless realms exist, all pulled around in a circular loop of constant dimensional rotation about the Sun. The divine energy that is the Sun acts as a pulling force upon each realm, the Preserver’s will preventing any planet from falling off into the malevolent voidal abyss. Each realm goes around and around, endlessly swirling through the Veil. Every realm is unique, whether it be created by an Aengudaemon or the chaotic nature of the Void it will be completely different from every other dimension that may be found. A near infinite amount, from the orderly Halls of Xan to a home of nothing but Horrors - everything may be found within. Every realm requires approval from the LT. This section is intentionally left short as each realm requires its own lore. Tl;dr Space lore, that’s really it. I intended it to be vague as to be able to fit within our often changing canon and also allow creativity when space is used. As it currently is, space is only defined in a few paragraphs in our creation lore, this is intended to flesh it out into really being there.
