  3. u know they fucked up when we’re on the same side here my dude
  4. When somebody decides whether or not to create an Elf, they will be mechanically presented by Wood Elf, High Elf, Dark Elf, and Elf. Their perception will be that those are the options, and they will select from them. Nobody’s going to decide to make an Elf persona and then add on the Snow Elf culture because they won’t even notice it. Additionally, for a new player, being a Snow Elf will now mean being less valid than being a Dark Elf, High Elf, or Wood Elf. Snow Elves will be mechanically relegated to a culture instead of a subrace (the option to tag on Snow Elf is quite literally the culture section of the card), and whether or not the LT says that Snow Elves are a subrace, the mechanics specifically say otherwise and will supersede any claims to the contrary. If Snow Elves are listed on cards as a culture, and not as a subrace, they will not be considered a subrace and will be at best considered less valid than the others. This will be an incredibly massive hindrance to recruitment, in the same way that our recruitment was non-existent outside of asking people for interest before we were given subracialhood. If the LT say that Snow Elves are a subrace, as you say (and as they do), why would we be arbitrarily axed from having the mechanical option of being a subrace? What was the point of this? All staff has done is **** the Snow Elves again lmao That’s not what we’re arguing, we’re using it as proof that we’re an active subrace. We have the lore to back up subracial differentiations. So we’re not being axed for activity, and we’re not being axed for invalid lore. Why are we being mechanically axed?
  5. Why was the Snow Elven playerbase not even involved in this discussion process? We didn’t have a chance to fight for ourselves, we were told indirectly that we were being axed on a dev update post. Despite what you suggest, this will very much bring severe harm to our recruitment. Whether or not such a thing should be made applicable across the board is one matter but the fact that it was enacted on only ¼ subraces, without a discussion, is outrageous.
  6. We’re addressing the fact that the Snow Elven subrace has been singled out for discrimination. High Elves, Dark Elves, and Wood Elves can have their races set to their proper subraces, but Snow Elves cannot, despite being a 2-3 year old subrace that’s more active than some of the other subraces with a valid lore and culture. Your comment is incredibly off-base and you fail to understand the impacts on this both in terms of recruitment and treatment.
  7. Application Data for the past 4 months: Snow Elves beat High Elves by a massive factor each time, and are consistently one of the highest applicant groups among the Elves. I will eagerly await for you to restore the Snow Elves to subracialhood and make High Elves a simple culture where they belong ? @flamboyant
  8. Snow Elves are a subrace, not a culture. Equal to Dark Elves, High Elves, and Wood Elves.
  9. Aelthir reads over the 7th edition of the famed paper, unable to stifle the smile upon his lips. ((epic audiobook reading of minecraft poetry i need more))
  10. “Imagine banishing a group of Mali, raiding them, and then being insulted when they hesitate to engage in diplomacy. Large mouths attached to small brains,” a certain Snow Elf decides, tossing the missive into the fire.
  11. Flecks of grey and black dot the air above Talar’ikur, melding with the white snow upon the ground to form a drab medley. The ash-strewn landscape of the square behind the gates holds an eerie silence - a stark contrast from the recent chorus of steel, shouts, and beastly roars that marked a bitter struggle. It had come from the sky. Idle blue-grey banners snapped and shuddered in the sudden wind, a thick black smoke descending upon the gatehouse and square amidst the piercing cry of Mali warhorns. Ivae’fenn rushed forth, cloaks of blue trailing behind them. The orders were given: “Berriran, iylanheran - sulieran - hiuweran!” The resulting volley of arrows found their mark, though the majority harmlessly bounced off of the beast’s scales - only a few managing to find flesh. The response was swift. The wyvern charged, tearing through the hastily assembled wall of Ivae’fenn shields in its path. The cry of “Mahnihiian ihnsilan'ehya!” arose among the fragmented ranks as the beast smashed into the steel gates behind them, the Ivae’fenn turning and charging. Spears and glaives tore into the wyvern’s flesh, a lone Vanguard managing to jump atop the beast from a vantage point - driving his blade through its back and holding on tight as his green cloak billowed in the heat of battle. An all-out melee ensued, the wyvern catching a few unfortunate soldiers in its jaws - its teeth sinking into their armor, before tossing them at their comrades. Another soldier managed to pry the beast’s maw open with his blade, leveraging his weapon to prevent it from closing its jaws. Slowly, they hacked away at the wyvern - tearing its left wing from its shoulder. Spears, glaives, swords, and arrows hew away at its body, ripping it asunder, until at last it stilled beneath their blades. Crimson blood stained the scene, the stones of the square smashed and nearby wooden pillars splintered - several bodies of the vanquished twisted at odd angles upon the ground. It was a victory - but a bittersweet one - for as the wild encroached upon Fenn, this fire-breathing wyvern was surely naught but a harbinger of more to come.
  12. “look guys even though i play lotc im cool haha i promise”
  13. imagine ignoring a census and then complaining about the results while having blatantly not even read the results post lal
  14. “’Elvenesse’ is a disgusting word and I hate that people keep using it,” decides Aelthir.
  15. I would agree that cultural distinctness is incredibly important for who the elves are, but as you mentioned, there are other ways of unity. Political unity with internal autonomy and separate cities divided along subracial lines would satisfy a large portion of the elven playerbase, reflected by the answers in the open-ended question that largely call for unity but also for maintaining the distinct nature of the subraces.
  16. Interesting stuff. I would hope that it could provoke a mature dialogue on the state of Elven politics and rp.
  17. “We killed half of your pathetic 5-man ‘rebellion’ at no loss of our own, and the other half discovered your obsessive insanity and left you. You are a joke,” notes Aelthir from the comfort of the Talar’ikur tavern, reclining to sip his tea.
  18. “The Haelun’orians always have made for weak soldiers, and a lethargic people,” notes Aelthir, sharpening his spear. “This should be easy."
  19. “Somebody call the Stolt’aroloths, the globalists are at it again,” says Aelthir.
