  1. This is a bad place to put this information, but I'm sure people will get over it. :P Anywho, this post here is to say that I'm officially taking a break from LotC. I do not expect it to be an eternal break, but I imagine it may be rather long nonetheless. Until then, may peace be with you, my friends.

    1. Rig

      Rig

      Noooooo! Whyyy...

  2. Wow, these changes were unexpected. Nice, let RP be free. *applauds and runs back under his rock*
  3. Forum ranks gone? Awww :( Signatures Freed! Yey :) That's all I really have to say.
  4. Cyrus' eyes scrawl over the text with interest as he reads each book in succession by candlelight. The light flickers as each page is turned, an unbreaking interest remaining strong upon him until the moment he finishes. He then sits back, an inquisitive hand placed over his chin and mumbles his thoughts aloud. "Most interesting, I should think, the idea of the descendants coming together... but would they? I am willing to join with the bortu and maybe even the uruks... but I cannot see the valah ever agreeing to something like this. I imagine they would spit upon an inscription such as this, such is their foolish pride..." Cyrus' eyes scan the library, detecting other readers within. He quickly blows out the candle and rises from his seat in one fluid motion, not forgetting to sweep up the books with him. He neatly returns them to the shelf and strides with staff in hand toward the door, the light clatting of his staff reverberating off of the walls as he exits.
  5. Was not this post about recovering Malinor? Is this not but a rant, then?
  6. As one that may be called a "Malinorian", I actually think that this is something that may be not only needed, but a significant historical event that would change all future interactions between races. I see positive effects RPly and OOCly. Ptah, if you would add me (sentlit) on skype, I'd be willing to at least OOCly help you with recovering Malinor. Edit: I suppose once the week is up, I could return if and spark some RP- get people reinvested in Malinor.
  7. Several letters would find themselves sent to the personal residencies of Toby, Nienna, Artimec, Mythras, and Valmir. Inside of the letters is written in rather curvy cursive: "To whom this letter is addressed to, I find it necessary and/or proper to notify you that I will be absent from local society for some duration of time. This notification means to tell you to not worry for my safety, for I am well and certainly not missing in a mysterious way. The reason for this absence is a manner of some 'self discovery' for lack of a better term. I hypothesize that since the Mindlord went on a journey in a similar way, returning as an incredible Illusionist, I too should attempt an extended session of solitary study in order to better myself. Perhaps I should not return as just an Illusionist, but a more varied magician? I should not know at this time. Best wishes to those I consider my closest of friends and/or those whom I have business with (you can figure which you are), Cyrus, Illusionist and somewhat Regent of the Arcane Delvers" ((I will be absent from LotC for a bit, probably no more than a week. I might still be on skype. Oh, and maybe start some forum RP off of this :P))
  8. I really cannot predict what will happen. Let's just see where this all goes...
  9. I give it a month to work. First month will have a helluva ton of nubs running around with magics. Then hopefully it'll fade to how it was before the MAT. Overall, an interesting decision. Let's see how it plays out.
  10. I personally think Chaq's got it. There's a balance that needs to be held- too much of either no es bueno. As for VAs, we could have a test. For one week, do RP as if VAs didn't exist so that everyone can do anything to see if anything goes wrong.
  11. Cyrus, now appearing as a mute shrub, hears Kal's rediculously high offer, and exhales irritably. Not saying anything more, he leaves the area, defeated by the power of commerce. ((and totally not conjured currency))
  12. Cyrus calls out again, but finds himself mute. Enraged, his fists ball up and his eyes flutter. A similar faint aura, but green, floats about Cyrus arm, followed by an air of illusionary muteness falling over Corvo as well. ((illusionist vs illusionist <3)) With a smug expression, the now mute Cyrus traces onto the back of one of those 'posters are found around anthos' posters with mud and hands it to the auctioneer. It reads '1500 Minas for the ghastly box.'
  13. Cyrus shouts out, almost interrupting Corvo "1100 Minas for the ghastly box!"
  14. Cyrus shoots a quick glare to Corvo before shouting again "I will give you 900 minas for the ghastly box!"
  15. Cyrus frowns upon being outbid. He again raises his hand and shouts "700 Minas for the ghastly box!"
  16. Cyrus lends a curious ear as the auctioneer begins to respond to various queries and bids. After hearing few mention of a peculiar skull-shaped container, he lifts his hand shouting "500 Minas for the ghastly box!"
  17. A darkly-clad figure strides amongst the hordes of busy peoples flitting to and fro, off to their various businesses and activities. His eyes show a bright green, almost glowing in the sunshine, offering a strange contrast to his unnaturally dark hair. Shooting up from the sides of his head which is raised above all of the shorter races are pointed ears. His pale skin stretches from the ends of his long sleeves and up to his face, only broken by a few scars of times' past. His glowing eyes wander over to the large figure with several others about him, then begin to travel back to his feet. Quickly they shoot up again, his eyebrows furrowing, feeling a strange familiarity of the giant among the crowd. He pauses, sticking out more than before, seeing more than one familiar-feeling face among the crowd. Looking upon the giant again, he makes out the small pendant and his reddish eyes. Something seems to stir his memory, but he quickly suppresses it, looking down again. He does not look back as he begins to stride down the docks once more. "Perhaps... no." he mumbles to himself as he walks away, thinking of what was an age ago, thinking of a certain dark elf and her giant husband, of a life-saving encounter, of what he thought was the only good man among thorns.
  18. Cyrus enters the ruins, with eyebrows furrowed. "Now where is the Librarian?"
  19. As the man passes by, Cyrus does not pay. He mumbles "I will not be participating, but I still wish to hear this riddle." as the man holds the bag to him. Upon hearing the riddle, Cyrus places his hand upon his chin. Hearing the riddle he mumbles "Loud house, quiet man... Creator... Both endure time, but the man moves more quickly, if at all... The man is bound to house until death, and relies upon it for life..." Perhaps reaching an answer, he simply folds his hands behind his back, waiting to see if someone else calls it out.
  20. Ha... ha... for ever... get it? Ha...
  21. ((Concurs. This thread need be archived.))
  22. ((Wow, the song ended right when I finished reading. What great timing- to go with a great read. Well done.))
