  1. Direct Leader of the Charter: Drone414 Nation/Settlement/Guild Name: Vowur ka-zu'Xundr Type of Charter: Guild Charter - Villain - Event Based If possible, Declare an Official Timezone: EST If Guild, Archetype(Choose, at most, two): Villain - Event driven Area Being Requested(Outline the Region Using the Map Provided by the GM Team. If possible, set coordinates as markers for us to make a good region on the first try): Here is the drawn off area on the map: https://gyazo.com/04ad97cb30b686ae2307b5ce72568351 Coordinates: I'll PM them. Screenshots of Area In-Game: Proof of Meeting Material Requirements: Our build will be mainly underground, but we do have the requirements necessary to make the above ground area, as well as decorate what we will be making below ground: Charter Signatures: To those who will be involved in this charter, please roleplay here. No matter what your character is, any and all activity helps in showing we have the requirements in terms of players. I, Drone414, fully acknowledge that if roleplay in the region in question does not occur, or player retention of the area depreciates to a level where hardly any active RP remains in the area, then the area will be removed, ruined or naturalized by GMs/ET members with a 1 week probationary period. Additional Roleplay: From the depths of despair, creatures of darkness gather together as the moon shines bright within a dark sky. Under the guise of night, they come together within the woodlands of the wild. Shrouded by darkness, garbed in grays and blacks, they come, in ones and twos. The feral forms of ghouls stalk around the perimeter, keeping watch for their masters. As hours go by and the gathering has finally come to an end, a lone man stands up, hood over his pale face. He raises his arms, hands outward and facing those who've come together. "We gather together upon this night for a single reason. A home. There is nowhere in this realm our kind are safe. The foolish mortals and filthy clerics use any excuse to slaughter us. Whether we calmly come and go, or seek to sate the hunger that holds us; we are attacked viciously. Upon this night, we vote. We've gathered what we needed. We've mapped out a location. And even now, our followers drag our materials to the site. So, we vote. Is it time we come together, create a home for ourselves, and begin our operations to control the light that shines obnoxiously within our sights?" ((Ithael confirmed))
  2. You know, I was here for this. Shame I didn't throw my own thoughts in.
  3. Adding spirits isn't messing with Shaman lore. As Hugo said, it appears this is liked by Shaman chat, and as I've personally spoken to a few Shamans, some feel they are lacking in events/event ideas. This can help spark mini-events or ideas for events, for shamans. As for your second point, I don't see how a Mary/Gary Sue contracting a mental illness makes sense, let alone how this would be an issue. A Mary/Gary Sue is a perfect character, or an entirely cliche character. If this is to give them a mental illness, that is taking away the cliche/perfection factors. As for you Hugo, this is a pretty cool idea.
  4. Before I left, I had the right mindset and the time to do it. Upon my return, I've lost the mindset to handle it and have become slightly more negative towards the playerbase. Maybe next time around, when I've got the mindset back and less negativity, I might. Plus working full time throughout the weak to save up for college is a little rough.
  5. ((Shut down by OOC, I love it.))
  6. The sound of booted feat echos across the area. Those who would turn their attention towards the approaching noise, they would see a cloaked man. Long silver hair cascades down his head, stopping shortly above his shoulders. His hair is tied back into a bun at the back of his head. The signature dark aqua scarf hangs upon his shoulder, keeping his pale neck warm. Behind the approaching form of Skale, the familiar form of Zeliek would be seen. "As Wrath wishes, so Wrath shall receive." The words echo around Skale as he states them, moving forward towards Ivanus. He stops two paces away from the large figure, peering up at him through one working eye, and one ruined eye. "I come forward to you all, Children of the Light, to not only prove my innocence, but also offer both blade and shield to your cause. I am a capable warrior and I am willing to aid those who seek to learn the art of both blade and shielded combat. To those who do not, I am capable of teaching in other areas as well." Skale looks away from Ivanus for a moment, seeking to meet the gaze of Hesh, Charis, and finally Aldrik. "Upon this day, Aldrik notified me of this meeting. He sought to bring me forth to you all, to either prove my innocence in the rise of Ikuras once more, or prove my guilt. And I can assure you all, brother and sisters of the greater good, I am an innocent man. Since my departure from this order, I have faced an ordeal most men and women could not comprehend. My soul wounded, my heart broken, and my mind driven into the depths, I found myself nearing closer and closer to an impending dive to my doom. But by the path I now walk, the path of Xan; and the love of my new family," Skale pauses and motions to Zeliek at his side. "I've been able to face this crucible, and come out the other side a better man for it. I do not stand beside Ikuras. Nay, I stand against him, as you all do." Once more Skale turns to look at those gathered, smiling at Cheza as his gaze passes over her. He offers nods to those he does not know or recognize, simply out of respect.
  7. (( I would gladly take part in this, I'd just need to get a heads up on what's going to go on. I assume that this would simply be a high elf roleplay family, and that's well and good. Would there be events to go along with this? Or purely day-to-day roleplay experience? )) EDIT: I'd like to point out; I am willing to play a guardian. If I remember correctly, this magic weakens the body even more so than void magic. To properly utilize a Fi mage, I think a guardian of some would be necessary, or so it said in the past. I am one hundred percent willing to play a guardian to an existing or soon-to-be existing Fi mage.
  8. With the change, does that mean all the Dread Knights want to keep living? I would assume if they are willing to repair themselves and armor, they want to continue living in a constant state of agony. What would the RP reasoning be, behind it? Maybe the current Dread Lord simply seeks to keep them all alive as his servants for an eternity so he forces them to repair themselves because he's an evil ****? I do not mean to be rude, I'm merely trying to comprehend why anyone in a constant state of pain would ever want to keep themselves in such a state. Or why they'd ever wish that on another who is facing the same pain. Maybe against another mortal, I could see it. EDIT: I'd like to quote was said on an earlier status, without saying the name of the person: "I dunno. In this instance it looks more like inconvenient weaknesses being phased out, rather than lore legitimately changing. " Actually looking at this has made me realize that's exactly what it seems like. Though after thorough explanation, I'm sure I'd be convinced otherwise.
  9. "Your lore is wrong." - Says a current Dread Knight to the creator of the lore. Yeah, alright.

  10. To be honest, killing Azel off to turn him into one of these would be solid. That character needs to die... Either way, +1
  11. ((I agree with you wholeheartedly and will keep that in mind for the future. We're avoiding Laureh'lin almost entirely because we were killed there. That and the fact you guys have Ancient Elves to deal with.))
  12. ((What happened in RP was not originally meant to get to Charis. We kidnapped her child by chance, and once it was recognized, we realized we could drag her out and kill her. Bad villainy would be going out of our way to kill Charis over and over again. Which we are not doing. A chance arose, and we took it. We're simply avoiding Charis to the best of our ability since she was killed, purely because we don't want to upset Desires further, if she was upset at all.))
  13. What's the sudden Frost Witch status hate for? I'm confused.

  14. Upon this day, inhabitants of Laureh'lin would find smoke billowing upwards in massive amounts coming from the south. What had originally started as minor amounts has turned into clouds of the smog, spiraling upwards at an alarming rate. Upon the obvious route leading towards the south, many trees would bear a striking symbol; a star, the Star of Ikuras in particular. As you near the burning lodge, a striking form would come into your vision; a woman. Upon a large tree, a woman hangs, dried blood staining her white robes. Her throat has been slit and is clearly where the blood had originated from. Her form has been nailed to the tree, stakes holding her up via her palms. Her skin has decayed greatly, but a name rings through the mind of those familiar with the woman before you. Charis Beside the slit throat and staked hands, her form seems relatively unharmed. Though, upon her forehead, the Star of Ikuras is visibly carved into the flesh. Moving past Charis, the sight of the Lodge, aflame becomes visible. Smoke billows outward. The prone form of an unconscious woman lay two hundred paces from the burning building. As she's approached, the woman Indra, pregnant wife to Tristin, becomes clear.
  15. The familiar form of an elderly man who frequents the Cloud Temple lands can be soon wandering about the docks this day. He travels about, moving from boat to boat, and cart to car. As he does so, it appears the man is simply examining the craftsmanship of each mode of transport. While the day drags on, more people begin to arrive at the docks, activity growing in large amounts. By midday, when there are many gathered about the area, the elderly man turns away from examining whatever he can find within the area, and simply moves towards the center of the clearing. He stands within a large amount of free space, looking about to those gathered. Days ago I spoke up, warning the Descendants of the return of Ikuras. Upon this day, I must once more come forth and warn my fellow mortals of the destruction that has been wrought upon us this day. As many had likely seen, the grove was tainted. But we did not stand by and watch the corruption eat away at our world. No, many stood and gained a victory this day over the taint. But alas, though our victory was sound, the corrupted tree was merely a destruction to the dark deeds done by the assailants. During the purification of the grove, whilst many stood to aid their druidic allies, the assailants went to a nearby home. The farm of the home was badly corrupted, resulting in the death of many crops. Sadly, that was not the end of their antics. A brave man came upon the assailants and moved to defend his land. Running forward to do battle with the offender, he found himself weakening within the fields of corruption that had been formed. While in his weakened state, the offender raised an axe and slammed it down, effectively shattering the shoulder of the defender, before impaling him with a blade made purely of bone. As the man lay dying, tainted and bleeding; it was not enough. The man was brought to the grove, his corpse thrown within the clearing. Taint exploded forth from the man, killing all nearby wildlife in seconds. You see friends, no where is safe, no one is safe. Stick together and we shall face this as a united front.
  16. His emerald gaze swept forth, studying the now-dead courier that had been delivering these notices to towns, as well as hanging up posters. As he reads over the notice, he chuckles to himself. Looking down at the terror-filled gaze of his victim, the mali'ame turns away. "This'll be fun."
  17. Not every magic serves the same purpose. Sure, Xan and Tah both have healing, but they also have different, advanced forms of magic to their deity that make it different. And sure, there are similar creatures in appearance that float about, but they are not the same. If you were to educate yourself on what you are speaking of in it's entirety, not sure the surface of it, you'd see that. Magic on LotC, surprisingly enough, is fleshed out and different in many different ways. To just say they are the same, or do the same things, is incorrect in it's entirety. Being a low fantasy, medieval roleplayer does not suddenly raise the value of your opinion either. It is just simply something you prefer. Within the game, there have been steps taken to limit magic, IC and OOC. The applications and laws prohibiting the use of magic have done great in terms of keeping magic regulated in a much finer fashion.
  18. It is undeniable that evil returns to this land. The Mali'ame fight off the likes of Ancient Mali and their servants. Creatures abducting others at all hours of the day, torturing them and returning them as if they had not even been there. Corpses turning up left and right, from as far as Laureh'lin to the Caliphate. One could say the evil had never departed in the first place, and that would be true. But this evil, darkness, and corruption only grows in activity and it has becomes rather clear to those within the Druidic Grove. To those who frequent Druid's Grove, whether it being the Druids themselves or just friendly visitors, the natural hum of nature seems to of subsided upon this day. Instead of the overwhelming calm that nature brings, the feeling is replaced with despair. As you further approach the grove, your skin seems to crawl, stomach beginning to turn. Upon entering the grove and moving down the hallway, leading to what was once a large birch tree, the smell of corruption and taint enters your nose. The overwhelming urge to vomit invades your mind. Within the main room of the grove, the once beautiful birch tree has been tainted. The bark has withered and aged, turning a dark, deathly color. The water itself surrounding the water has turned a sickly ebon color. The substance within no longer feels of water, but instead of mud, slushy and thick to the touch. Beside the tree, a duck lay tainted, it's feathers grayed or missing entirely. The once-soft flesh off the duck feels like that of sandpaper,it's gaze empty and hollow. As you further study the tree, it becomes apparent three rabbits have been slain and stuck to the tree. The first has clearly been burnt alive. A stake sits idly within it's chest, sticking it to the tree. The second still bleeds, fresh blood spilling away from the creature as it only died minutes, possibly hours before. As the first, it has been stuck to the tree via a stake. The final rabbit has been flayed, it's skin adorning the ground before it, while it's corpse is stuck within the tree. The sight before you is disturbing, to say the least.
