Artimec copies down all the names of the reported shades and otherwise dark beings on this list, and submits them to both the Prince of Irrinor and the Chieftains of the Omentahu.

Artimec couldn’t help but scowl at that.
“Am I going blind in my age, or did the Llyrian Council just admit to giving dark arts and spookmen legal recourse to exist within their walls? When it comes to occultists, there can not be laws, or regulations. The only proper way to respond to the existence of Shades is to put a blade to their throat, or put an arrow to their heart. Anything less than that counts as collaboration with eldritch, blasphemous forces.”

Upon hearing of this news, Eleyas sharpens his lute.

Artimec is reminded of the fact that spider elves are a thing, he figures he should get out of his forest town more, but activity checks compel him to stay inside it.

@Telanir Well I didn’t expect an apology TBH but since you offered me one I will accept it and give you the benefit of the doubt in seeing how you implement this new system. Your dedication towards removing tribalism and internet hooliganism is admirable, and I will put aside my cynicism to watch objectively how you do it

I read all of this without tl;dr'ing and honestly it just feels like a lot of fancy populist rhetoric without any actual practical explanation of how you plan to implement this new world order. You have to stop being the Justin Trudeau of internet mineman and show us action, not words.
Also that part where you say bans should only come at a last resort and only after intense communication? What hypocrisy. You ((community guidelines)) banned me for 3 weeks while refusing to respond to me on a consistent basis, while telling me my ban would last as long as you felt like, while dancing around the question whenever I asked you for the specific incident that got me banned, only vaguely citing my attitude and professionalism.
The whole ordeal didn't leave me feel communicated with, it left me confused, angry and resentful. And I am FAR from the only person who had a similar experience like this with you, Telanir.
Tell me if you feel YOU, personally, have any room for improvement in changing how detached you are from this community, its day to day rp, or how you communicate with them.

“So they are in essense brown nosing us so as to isolate the Llyrian Concord, their new object of aggression, while also condemning the Dark Elves who have succumbed to Llyrian rule. They’re not being as subtle as they think they are.” Artimec muttered plainly while sipping his Gin-and-uncarbonated-flower-water. He then chuckled. “Heh, brown nosing.” He rubbed his dark skinned nostrils. “Don’t get me wrong I already revile Llyria for what it is, I just resent Haelun’ors need to try to manipulate me into doing so.”

Omentahu
The Tribal Gathering
An Omentahu is a cultural ceremony hosted by one Elven Seed in their clan hall, with all their brother and sister Seeds attending as guests. It is a highly ritualized affair, in which the rites of Gift Giving, Story-Dancing, Feasting and Competition are all performed with strict gravity.
Traditionally, an Omentahu refers to any meeting of elven tribes. The specific ceremony-gathering that will be explained in this manuscript was traditionally known as ‘oment’fiher’ (a feast gathering). Our ancestors were nomadic, and thus had many words to distinguish the different circumstances in which different tribes would come together. In this era of permanent settlement, Omentahu is a simple enough term to describe the ancient rite of festival.
History
It should be well known by now that the ancestors of the Alder and Irrinite Forest Elves lived nomadically in divided and independent clans in the ancient deepwoods of the forests that once belonged to Malin. During these times, the ancient Seeds fought one another, but they also formed bonds as well. As elves married between clans, kinship and lineages developed into broader and broader networks that compelled many different tribes together.
To affirm the bond between Clans, the ancient Wood Elves developed a ritual system of ceremony that would bring them together. They would share their history and culture through song, and form ties of reciprocity through gift giving. This ceremony became known as oment’fiher - a feast gathering, and became an essential tool in forming alliances and inter-generational ties between Elven Tribes. In our time, we simply refer to it as Omentahu.
The Rituals
In ancient times, Clans hosting a feast-gathering were expected to fulfill a set of basic ritual requirements. Failure to do so would bring great shame upon them, but doing so with great passion and exorbidance would win a Clan fame and status. These rituals include Gift Giving, Story-telling, Feast, and Competition.
Hosting omentahu breeds an inherent sense of friendly rivalry between tribes. As hosts will seek constantly to outdo one another. A host clan’s display of wealth and splendor during the ceremony is synonymous with its power, thereby challenging other clans to out-do them when it comes their turn to host, lest they be shamed for throwing a less spectacular party.
Gift Giving
SpoilerDuring an Omentahu festival, the chieftains of the Host Clan are expected to give out gifts to their guests. This is more than just a gesture of welcoming or kindness, and is infact a way for a Clan to display their wealth through their ability to give away items of value. It also sets an obligation upon other seeds, to gift out wealth of greater or equal value when it comes time for them to host their own Omentahu.
The Gifts given vary from tribe to tribe. A Seed known for cultivating Ironwood would give away crafts made of that sacred material, while seafaring, metalworking or war-like tribes would all give gifts that reflects their clan’s lifestyle.
Some common gift examples are as follows:
- Ceremonial weapons (Bows, Spears, Sabres)
- Ornate Dishes (Carved Bowls, Boxes, etc)
- Food (Cured meats are most popular, due to their longevity)
Story-Dance
SpoilerPerformance is an incredibly important aspect of a ceremony omentahu. Usually this means performing some sort of ritualized dance that tells a story of the host Clan’s past, or honours the host clan’s household Mani.
While usually taking on a form of a dance, any form of group performance done by the host Clan is acceptable. This can be a song, a stunt-act, or a simple story-telling session. However, whatever form this part of the ceremony takes- it must be a display of the Clans’ grandeur, and a way by which it shares its unique culture and faith.
Feast
SpoilerFood is a universal language common to all peoples, and this is no different between the many diverse clans of the Alderfolk and Irrinites. Feeding your guests is considered a sacred duty to clan-hosts, and the ability to feed your brother and sister clans with game meats and wild fruits displays your clan’s prowess, both as hunters and cultivators.
A prayer is oft spoke to the host Clan’s household Mani before the feasting commences, and the food offered is reflective of that Clan’s culture. A hunting clan would feed their guests red meat, a seafaring clan would feed them fish, while an ame’lie clan would feed fruits, as a general rule.
Competition
SpoilerContests of wisdom and prowess are common in Omentahu and a good way for the host-clan to their members’ mettle against fellow Clans. It is customary for the host-clan, after the gifting, singing and feasting is done, to end the festival with a friendly competition.
The competition at hand depends solely upon the host-clan. A warrior-based Seed would likely host a sparring or wrestling tournament, while sea-faring Seeds would host a swimming race. A seed that values scholarship and knowledge would host perhaps a riddle contest or some other test of minds.
Continuity and Kinship
After a full day of revelry, an omentahu ends with the host clan’s chieftains addressing the crowd, saying a final prayer to their household Mani, and dismissing their guests. Chieftains of other tribes who attended the omentahu are now obligated by ancient law to host their own Omentahu in their own longhouses in time, and pay back all the hospitality offered to them, in full.

Purpose
The Naelurir is the priesthood of the Wood Elven peoples, and is an order comprised largely of Elven Druids and their students. Their mandate is to keep the Wild Faith and tribal culture of the Woodland Peoples alive through conversion, prayer, festival, dance and song.
Origin
SpoilerWe will never know when druidism truly began. But we know that for as long as the memories of the wood elven race span, the druids have been there at the center, a guiding hand in the preservation of their ways, their traditions, their culture.
In ancient times, the Alder Elves and the Forest Tribes lived as nomads in the deep woods, worshipping the various spirit Mani of the wilds, and the Aspects. It is believed that all known Drui at this time were wood elven in origin. These elven druids were seen as the wisest and most venerated of all mali, and elves of all the nomadic Tribes would traverse miles of the thick Aegisian forest to find their groves and seek their guidance.
Soon, a great war devastated the Aspectist Tribes, who were forced to agglomerate back into cities, with much of their Tribal customs eroding away. After more long years of conflict, the Wood Elves of Laurelin finally began regaining their ancient roots, and old Seeds emerged from their centuries long isolation in the forest as they saw their city-kin finally rekindle their true path.
For the last two centuries of recorded history, the Priesthood of Naelurir had guided the Wood Elven people in matters spiritual. It has served through the days of Laureh’lin, Linandria, and Caras Eldar. However, with the fall of Caras Eldar, the order was left homeless, and thus dissolved.
Now, a new generation of druids is called upon to revive the Naelurir Mantle. Just like the ancient elven druids who once were the central guides of the ancient Seeds, and their fathers who served in the old Naelurir, this new order will serve as a beacon for their people. The rebirth of the Naelurir.
Culture
SpoilerThe Naelurir Order considers itself naturally duty bound to aid the main branch of druids in anything pertaining to their duty to the Aspects. However, they are their own sect, racially and culturally distinct from the main mother circle, with their own hierarchy, leadership and trials. Naelurir training is markedly more harsh than that of the Mother Circle of druids. Dedicants who seek to become part of the exclusive elven priests must become adept warriors, they must learn to hunt, war and heal the most gruesome of wounds. They are made to endure pain and suffering to gauge their dedication to the path and to the Aspects. As such, progression in the Naelurir is not done through completing tasks- they are called trials of aptitude.
A Naelurir is expected to embody all the traits of an ideal wood elf and ideal druid:
Strength
To be able to fight like one of Cernunnos’ beasts. To be a fierce warrior able to draw blood from any opponent made of flesh.
Knowledge
To know all traditions, rituals and teachings that makes the wood elves what they are. To have extensive knowledge of the Aspects and what they stand for, and to follow their way above all else. To revere Malin and keep to his teachings.
Self Control
To always have a leash on your own emotions. To be cool, sensible and calm. To refrain from wanton giving of offense and to make decisions on faith, pragmatism and experience, not blind emotion.
Leadership
To find joy in teaching and guiding others onto the Aspects path. To aspire to be a role model, someone to look up to and follow. To be outgoing, firm when needed, understanding when required, clear and easy to comprehend.
Loyalty
To be undyingly devout to your own people and to the druidic way. To never bend or sway from your convictions to keep both alive and thriving, to make the ultimate sacrifice to protect the well being of either if necessary.
Trials
SpoilerAn acolyte of the Naelurir Priesthood must undergo years of rigorous training in order to reach attunement and become a Druidic Priest proper. These trials are designed to bring an acolyte to their limits, both mentally and physically. While there is a standard set of trials derived from the Emerald Way of the Wild Faith, Naelurir Priests have leeway to adapt and create new trials as they deem necessary to fit to their Ichorian or Sage adherences. The trials are as follows:
Trial of Knowledge: The acolyte must write a thesis on the lessons of the wild faith, and of the Emerald Way to show their understanding and provide a new perspective on either of the three to show critical thinking. If they can find another way to show what they have learned, they may show it that way. It will be left to the judgement of the priest overseeing.
Trial of Ironwood: An acolyte must show great courage and bravery, be it through fighting a great enemy, or facing down against a great evil. Defeating a dark creature, or fighting in a war. Any great feat of bravery must be shown.
Trial of Endurance: An acolyte must endure great hardship, struggle, pain, or loss. Be it through battle, or the rending of flesh. Battle scars may suffice. If an acolyte cannot endure loss, or pain, how can they be expected to uphold their own character, and that of the order?
Trial of Reflection: Give dedicant peyote or other herb that makes them disoriented. Then, take him to a nearby mountain with a dagger and nothing else to learn about Cernunnos. To feel that longing for food and to experience the grit of the hunt. They must come back with a kill. (OOC NOTE: For this one, make them write a short story about their character’s experience, like a forum post, as making them emote at nothing while they’re on their own in a forest is boring.)
Trial of Faith: Perform a public ritual (Wedding/Last Rites/Warpainting/Leading a group offering), with an elder priest to oversee. OR an acolyte may bring two other mali into the fold of aspectism. Or in some way, the dedicant must demonstrate a considerable knowledge of the wild faith. Either will do.
GRAND TRIAL: Dedicant comes up with what they want their grand task to be. Guide has to approve it. It must be Grand.
Mani Cults
SpoilerBe it through their specific Clan’s traditions, or personal devotion- many Naelurir Priests choose to focus their worship upon a specific patron Mani, an animal spirit that embodies status and values emulated in the Priest and her followers.
As a Priest chooses a Mani to be her patron, she too creates a cult of elven followers dedicated to the worship of that Mani. To be part of a Mani cult is to adopt the lifestyle, values, customs and songs of the Animal Prince you have chosen, and make the tenets of your spiritual patron central to your life.
These are the current Mani Cults that operate as distinct spiritual entities within the greater faith of elnarnsae’ame. Each cult is headed by a Naelurir Priest, whose spiritual leadership is still beholden to the wider Naelurir order.
Cult of the Raven
Raven Priest: Layla Arvellon
Kwakwani, the Raven Prince, is a vexatious spirit. The Raven is a cunning trickster, mischievous, but generally benevolent. His bold and cheeky nature make him the patron of artists, singers and poets across wood elven society.
The Cult of the Raven is a haven for worshippers of the Wild Faith who wish to devote themselves to the arts. Through worship of the Raven, young elves learn to be free of spirit, and unlock their true potential as creators of both the tangible and intangible.
Cult of the Wolf
Wolven Priest: Kairn Ithelanen
Morea, the Prince of Wolves is a deadly hunter, but the nature of his ferocity is precise, and calculated. A wolf understands more than blind violence, it understands strategy, teamwork, and a cold, ruthless cunning. This makes him a favoured patron of Wood Elven warriors.
The Cult of the Wolf is a society for warriors of the wild faith. Through the worship and study of the forest’s apex predator, the diligent Wolven Priest of the Ichorian rite teaches young hunters how to think, how to live, and how to fight, for the hunt comes with rituals of its own that must be honoured before shedding blood.
Cult of the Hummingbird
Hummingbird Priest: Amaryllis and Skylar Taliame’onn
Kholibrii, the Hummingbird Prince, is a fleeting, delicate little creature. Its feathers are vibrant and add a coloured richness to the tapestry that is the wild. Though small, the hummingbird has a large impact upon the pollination of flower-fields throughout the land.
The Cult of the Hummingbird is a society for elves who wish to celebrate colour and vibrancy. It is a sanctuary for enthusiasts of fashion, of floralists and gardeners, and children- who are often made to identify with the innocence of the Hummingbird. Many Hummingbird rites revolve around Tiva- a language of flower wreaths.
Oathed Naelurir
The current members of the Naelurir order, these druids actively perform their duties mainly in and around the town of Irrinor, but also in lands beyond, wherever Wood Elves and Alderfolk dwell.

The Seeds of Irrinor
A Seed, more colloquially referred to as a Clan, is defined as a tribe of Alder or Irrinite Elves, defined by its worship of the Aspects and practice of old traditions that go back to elven antiquity- the Era of the Seeds. Many wood elves look upon this period of history as an ideal era. It was during this time that the mali’ame were all unianimously devoted to the Aspects. Due to their nomadic lifestyle, the ancient wood elves of the various Seeds knew perfectly how to live in harmony with nature, something modern wood elves are still striving to do to this day.
Traditionally, Seeds were mainly nomadic, roaming the mountains, deep forests and coasts of the ancient world. In the modern era, the Seeds are mostly sedentary and live principally in the Princedom of Irrinor alongside the bulk of Alder and Irrinite Kind. However, many Seeds are the lineal successors or direct continuations of bloodlines, and hereditary continuation of the ancient Clans.
To join a Seed is to partake in the great cultural revival in the eyes of many mali’ame. After centuries of assimilation, destruction, oppression and suffering through the lands of Asulon, Anthos, and Athera, the wood elves lost most of their culture and their religion. It was only after weathering a string of disasters, and the ascension of leaders such as Prince Tristin, Artimec Caerme’onn and later Kairn Ithelanen and Awaiti Aureon that the wood elves finally enjoyed peace long enough to rediscover their history. Lacking in any cultural identity, they clung to the stories of the old Seeds and their traditions and sought to bring them about into the modern era.
Most of the Seeds that exist in the modern era are the successors to these old seeds. Almost all Cheiftains can trace their bloodlines back thousands of years and link them to the various old tribes which roamed the Aegisian forests. This is a point of pride for both the brown-skinned Irrinite Seeds, and the pale Alder clans, both of whom proudly emulate many of the old traditions and customs their nomadic ancient ancestors lived by.
Ilmyumier - Tribal Inking
Seeds often lived in isolation, and thus their traditions and lifestyles could diverge vastly. However, one ritual that remained universal among all seeds was the ilmyumier- the tribal tattoo.
Each Seed bares its own tribal tattoo with its own unique colour, shape and location on the body. In ancient times they served to identify a mali’ame to whichever tribe he or she belonged to. In the modern era, the practice of tattooing all adult members of a Seed is a continued tradition. The ilmyumier is iconic to seed culture.
Current Seeds of Irrinor
Many of the modern Seeds can trace their bloodlines back to the ancient ones. However, nowadays they are no longer nomadic. They are identified by their worship of the Aspects, the markings on their skin, and their respective traditions that they have preserved over the centuries. They live primarily in the Wood Elven sanctuary of Irrinor and its surrounding lands, although the Seeds also have a significant presence in the Talus Grove of the Druids.
SpoilerSeed Ilmyumier: An orange sleeve of tribal designs that are centered upon the bicep and shoulder with blank orange leading onto to a smaller section of designs that wrap just below the wrist. Topping the sleeve, upon the shoulder, is the head of a wildcat and two raven wings.
Seed Chieftain: Miklaeil Arvellon (ThumperJack_) and Layla Arvellon (Numirya)
Seed Culture: The Arvellon are the autumnally themed tricksters and watchers of the wild seeds, valuing a collection of knowledge as well as a good prank. They almost always wear a vigilant gaze and grin along with their uniquely colored attire and tattoos. But not only are they avid observers of all things and fine tricksters, but craftsmen of beautiful creations in any art they deem worthy of their time. Coupled with their strong love and respect for cats of all kinds, they make for a colorfully unique people.
Seed History: Founded by a jovial mali’ame named Carsul’il in the times of the first migration and Malin himself, the Arvellon originally lived in their secretive ame’lie known as the Harvest Wood, a grove said to have been in a state of perpetual Autumn. For most the mali’ame’s history, the Arvellon remained unknown yet ever observant until their recent resurgence.
SpoilerSeed Ilmyumier: A blood-red tattoo that abstractly resembles a stag’s antlers. Either to be inked along the arm, or under the eyes.
Seed Chieftain: Artanis Caerme’onn (TauFirewarrior)
Seed Culture: More than other seeds, Caerme’onn are fiercely pious. Nearly all members of this tribe are Druids, and it is an unspoken expectation that a Caerme’onn must devote their life to the Aspects, and to the preservation of mali’ame lore. As such, Caerme’onn is considered to be the “Priestly” Seed by many.
Caerme’onn is a seed of warriors and Druids, tied deeply with the Order el’Naelurir and Wood Elven lands. Spiritual enlightenment, an undying devotion to the Wild Faith, and a mandate to guide and teach mali’ame kind are the core identities of Caerme’onn.
Seed History: Caerme’onn originated in the ancient era of the nomadic seeds, out of a marriage between a seed whose name is lost to time, and a clan of elves from far away. In their union, they took the name “Caerme’onn”, meaning ‘born of destiny’. The Caerme’onn were one of many seeds who fought alongside the Green Dragon Taynei in her war against Garthon, the draoi usurper.
The clan’s name faded into obscurity as with many others following that ancient war and the death of traditional mali’ame culture that followed. But, come the 16th century of the Common Era, one Artimec “Camoryn” traced his lineage back to his ancient tribal roots, and brought his tribe and its customs into the modern era, paving the way for a pan-wood elven cultural revival, with clan Caerme’onn being at the forefront of this.
SpoilerSeed Ilmyumier: Dark greek ink, in the shape of an ame’lie tree. Traditionally the trunk tattooed on the back, and branches spread out over the body.
Seed Chieftain: Lyemar Aureon (Kaelan_)
Seed Culture: The Aureon are among the most skilled in the ancient wood elven craft of ame’lie, cultivating specialty timbers. Particularly, Aureon craftsmen have perfected the art of tempering Ikurnim’onn, a wood that, when prepared right, can be made as hard as steel.
In the modern era, After many years of delving into the ways of the Seeds and teaching her dedicants the Balance and Aspectism, Lady Steward and Naelurir Archdruid Arahaelth Aureon created a structured manuscript detailing the key values of the seed, along with how aspiring members would prove these values to the Aureons. These values are as follows:
Faith
Kinship
Honour
Cohesion
Self Worth
Knowledge
Seed History: The Aureon lived for centuries under their grand Chieftain and Seed Mother Elenwë. In a time when most Seeds were nomadic, they lived in permanent settlements, cultivating Ame’lie, specifically bred trees that could produce bark as hard as iron. Elenwë would be slain in a war with an orcish tribe, and the Aureons would die out as a result, becoming obscure for centuries. Until Prince Artimec Camoryn called upon the mali’ame people to remember their Seeds and rebuild them in the modern era. The Aureon people were one of the first to answer the call. They strove to bring back the life the forest sustained them with and to this day, continue to do so
Vaeloryïs
SpoilerSeed Ilmyumier: A dark brown tattoo of a shaped bear paw located upon the upper back between the shoulder-blades. The ink is traditionally created from a rich walnut husk mixture. The shape consists of a palm separated into three sections that conjoin and overlap one another, with five tipped claws above.
Seed Chieftain: Falco Vaeloryïs (Murlocs)
Seed Culture: Kin of Vaeloryïs highly praise the mani Bolomormaa of the bears. Seed customs and beliefs revolve around traditional teachings of the Bear Mother with influences from elnarnsae’ame, thus all kin are taught the values of family, compassion, and guardianship. The primary role of the seed is as caregivers - most members will find themselves in professions of medical practitioners, protectors, and animal husbandry, but not exclusively. As such, most seed kin will wear the status ilmyumier Cerridwen’s Vines alongside the seed’s own one. However, the most sacred of traditions among the seed is the rite of Lentosan’leh Leur’igne; translated to ‘Bear’s Hearth’ in common, and is practiced fervently among all seed kin.
Seed History: While Vaeloryïs sees themselves as independent, their origins stem as a cadet branch of the noble Calithil seed. This separation occurring from primarily cultural reasons following the rapid change in elven society; however, all members of the seed still retain unyielding respect for their ancestry. The creation of the seed was sought after once the blessing of Bolomormaa was provided upon the eldest seed kin and the first rite of Lentosan’leh Leur’igne was practiced - the elder took up the mantle of a maternal provider for an orphan bear cub, thus forming an unparalleled emotional, physical, and spiritual bond with the world. Following this, the seed formed to serve as watchers, protectors, and caregivers, in order to nurture the prosperity of the elven people and natural world as a whole.
SpoilerSeed Ilmyumier: There are two variants of the Lenetta tattoo, one baring the golden wings and crest of the eagle prince Nemglan, and one baring the delicate feathers of the Raven, Kwakwani. Typically worn upon the face or arms, in both cases.
Seed Chieftain: Esmelinda Songbird (EtherealElk_)
Seed Culture: The Lenetta, known more commonly as the Songbirds (which is what Lenetta means in Elvish) are performer peoples. They revel in song, dance, story telling, and stunt acts. Songbirds are gypsies in every sense of the word, each member of the clan is trained from a very young age to master a performing art, be it an instrument, dance, or some sort of daredevil act.
The Songbirds live in mobile house-wagons, which can easily be transported from town to town. Although Irrinor serves as their main hub, due to their shared heritage with the other wood elven tribes, the Songbirds often wheel off their wagons to other towns, where they put on fantastic shows, dazzling the crowds with their performances.
The Songbirds are made up of two main bloodlines, the Eagle- whose members bare golden eyes and brown hair, and the Raven- whose members bare dark hair and blue eyes.
Seed History:
The Songbird clan began with a warrior named Faelian, whose barbarity and bloodlust in battle led many to believe he was directly possessed by the great Wolf spirit himself. Faelian took charge of many raids against his enemies, leaving a trail of blood in his wake.
As Faelian grew older and wiser, he began to see error in his ways. The remorse for the killings he had committed, and the grief he had put upon thousands of widows and orphaned children came down upon him like the weight of a mountain. He turned away from his tribe, and burned his bow and spear, swearing never to take another life.
One day, witnessing the grief of the repentant man, the trickster Raven Kwakwani descended down upon him, and bestowed upon him the gift of song. From that day on, Faelian travelled the world, spreading music, dance and joy where he went, balancing out the sorrow he had caused before. Eventually, he gained a wife, then children, then a whole following of loyal artists, all devoted to performing like him. The Songbirds had been born.
SpoilerSeed Ilmyumier: The Ilmyumier of the Tresery Seed is that of the side of a Lion’s head with golden trimming. The gold presenting the animal itself as well as the Pride and royal history of the Seed. The tattoo is worn only on the upper chest, symbolizing the courage of their worth and proudly displaying who they are as a member of this Seed. Exceptions are very rarely made, generally only if a severe injury in that area preventing it being placed or it another symbolic tattoo is there. If such occurs, it is allowed then to be placed on the face somewhere.

The colors of the Seed show each of the values it stands for. Gold for Pride, Orange for Courage, Brown for Leadership. It is not uncommon to see Xan, the Aengul of Order and Guardianship valued highly as well along with those of the wilds. As this deity upholds duty above all else and part of the great duties performed within the Tresery Seed’s history came from paladin members.
Seed History: The history of the Seed is rich in both Royalty and Prowess. It extends back to ancient times when the original leader Lerical took his Seed to settle within the harsh savannah region. It was there when the story of the Great Lion Spirit Mahae was born. The story beginning with a Tresery Child taken to where it leads to the Seed’s hunters tracking down the horrid beast. As the clash occurred and the hunters were victorious, it was shown that the Lion killed as blighted to the point of no return which caused its crazed like behavior. Mahae then appeared before them and blessed the bloodline with Courage and Pride for the deed they did that day. Since then, the Seed had come and gone up til even several centuries alone with Leric Tresery first appearing to carry on the bloodline. His son Tristin followed afterwards to reclaim the Seed within the mali’ame culture, rising up to become High Prince and the first King since that of Malin. The Seed from then on becoming Royalty and now the legacy falls on the younger sister Andria Tresery who is currently reviving it’s long and proud legacy.Taliame’onn

The young woman was captivated by the culture she was taught, including Tiva - something she fell in love with, being an apprentice florist. He told her tales of his gods, painted her with natural pigments and taught her how bright, colorful and joyous the forest could be. She fell in love with these beliefs and decided to spread them to her people, a tragic event where they rejected and belittled her for believing in such "fairytales" and being attracted to such impure things. This forced her to leave her people, moving in with the boy from before - Starting a family after many years, basking in the colorful and primal things her old people would once scoff at.
Landless Seeds
These are the tribes who have extensive history and ties with either the Wood Elven peoples, or the Princedom of Irrinor and its predecessor states. Unlike the previous clans, these old families currently have no clan hall or land within Irrinor, although some of their members dwell within the Princedom’s lands.

Seed Chieftain: Calius Terin (ShadowedOblivion)

The seed is often known for considering everyone to be family in some sort of way. Despite the seed itself being rather small, members prefer to value actions louder than words.
Members of the Terin Seed value selflessness and family over all else, with community following shortly behind those. While not quite known for being warriors, the Terin seed has always been known to defend the place it calls home tooth and nail before they let something take over.
Once prominent in the Dominion of Malin, the Terin seed can be found today mostly in the Talus Grove of the Druids, or roaming the various woodlands in the western wilds.
Seed History: The Terin Seed was never known for its size or power like other notable seeds, rather sticking to a small nomadic living in the trees of great forests. The Seed being known for following rivers and only recently returning to civilization as of Athera.

All Torenas are required to make a sacrifice to the Aspects and complete a set of tasks in honour to them
Torena seed is made up of many fearsome warriors who tend to follow the bronze path. They use this to protect the mali’ame race and if any is to stray from this strict, Aspectist path they are generally dealt with harshly displaying how serious the seed takes its core morals and values.
Seed History: Nor’ehya, ancient, Varhn. The Torena seed derives its culture almost wholly from the ancient Nor’ehya seed. This group of mali believed the establishment of settlements lead to chaos and destruction of the balance, they left Malins city on only two boats. Unified by the same beliefs and connection to the ocean and coast they ventured out, hopping from island to island and returning once eaches resources had replenished, they became hardened warriors of the Aspects and the sea.

The Wild Faith
elnarnsae’ame
The Wild Faith, known in the old tongue as el’narnsaeame, makes up the Gods, traditions, and culture of the Wood Elves of Irrinor and beyond. For the Elves, faith and culture are one.
It was the forefather Malin who instilled the first kernel of nature worship in the Elves. He showed the Aspects and the Mani to the Elves, and taught the elder race to respect the trees, the plains and observe the beasts. When he departed from this world, his children fractured into Silver and Ash, and only a small portion remained true the old Gods.
Those who did not turn ashen or bathe in pools of gold split into two moieties. The first to depart from Malin’s great halls were the pale-skinned Alder tribes, each of whom chose a Mani spirit to be their patron and became fierce hunters and warriors. Next came the brown skinned Irrinites, cultivators, poets and sages named for their prophet Irrin Sirame, who led them into the deep wilds and bid them to split into nomadic tribes that lived closer to nature.
These Alder and Irrinite tribes now lived a primal, reclusive life. Each tribe was different but they had culture that bound them together. Each tribe had distinct skin inkings on their members that allowed one to tell which tribe he belonged to, and what his role in society was. Each tribe worshipped the same Gods of the Forest, the Aspects and Mani, although some tribes patronized some of these Gods over others. While divided, these tribes shared a common Wood Elven identity.
In truth, those ancient Elves had no name for their faith, for it simply ‘was’. The Gods of the Forest were as real and relevant to their everyday lives as a cup of water or a spool of thread. There was no distinction between faith and secular living. They were one with nature.
This nature worshipping tradition continued into modern, living memory even as the tribes began to conglomerate and live in cities once more. In the last 200 years, during the reign of Laureh’lin and its successor the Dominion of Malin, the Elves of their forest referred to their faith as ‘Aspectism’, named after the Gods of nature. Aspectism became a rallying cry for Wood Elves everywhere seeking to unify under one cultural identity.
The Pantheon of Forest Gods
No matter the clan, nation or Creed of worship, all Elves of the elnarnsae’ame, be they of the Emerald, Sage or Ichorian rites, acknowledge worship of the same Pantheon of Gods. These Gods share one common theme- they all embody the spirit of the wild, the pathos of nature. And thus, embody the spirit of the Elves. Collectively, they are known as the Gods of the Forest.
The Aspects
The Aspects are eternal. Some sects of elnarnsae’ame consider them the highest Gods of Nature. Some sects consider them simply to be nature, that they are the unspoken, intangible primal energy in all living things.
The most common depiction of the Aspects is in the form of a symbolic duality. They are two halves to one coin. There is Cernunnos, the father- he who encompasses all thing fierce, chaotic in nature, and stands as the God of Death. And there is Cerridwen, the mother, she who encompasses all things gentle in nature, and stands as the Goddess of Life.
However, many elves choose not to personify the Aspects. They choose not to give them names or the likeness of a figure. Instead, the Aspects are depicted simply as the lifeforce in all things. The primal energy that created all life, and the Mani that roam the wilds.
The Mani
All elnarniran must acknowledge and worship the Mani. They are the Animal Gods of the forest, each one an immortal guardian of a species. They are the bridge between the Elven world and the wild one, and as such, each occupies a niche that embodies the nature of their species, that Elves can appeal to.
While Elves must acknowledge and revere all the Mani, they may focus their worship upon one (or several) specific Mani, forming a cult of patronage around him/her. For example, the Cult of Morea made up of warriors, the Cult of Amaethon made up of healers, and the Cult of Kwakwani made up of artists.
Morea and Moccus - The Wolf & The Boar
The dual Gods of War, Loyalty and Bravery
SpoilerThe Savage Wolf, and the Stalwart Boar. Morea and Moccus are in fact two seperate Mani, yet are often spoken of in the same breath as the dual patrons of war. Morea is the wise and cunning, the stalker in the night. He leads his vast pack with ruthless calculation, finding where his enemies are weakest, and striking like lightning. Moccus, on the other hand, is indomitable and grounded. His hordes charge their foes head-on and trample over all who would oppose them.
Morea and Moccus are the most important Mani of the Ichorian sect of elnarnsae’ame, and attract worshippers among many elves who seek the life of a warrior. Morea blesses the hunters, those who fight with patience, precision and deadly silence. Moccus blesses the soldiers who charge into the foemen’s lines with their shields raised and spears pointed ahead.
But more than war, Moccus and Morea embody loyalty to the tribe and to the clan. Much like boars often lock tusks, and wolves quarrel amongst the pack, a tribe of elves may fight, but will always hold the survival of their unit above their personal squabbles. The values of the Wolf and the Boar transfuse into elven clan values.
Prayer:
“Morea, Ellaurir’Chirran
heya iheihuii Velulaei hiuwera,
kaean’leh ortilrun nae illerae.
kaean’leh Sirame ay’nae’leh lye myumierae.
Oh Morea, llytan, nae’leh ahern kae illera.”
“Laran Moccus. Oem heya ordivhiuw ito nae’leh.
lae heya cerun malarehan lomera.
kaean’leh ortilrun nae illerae.
kaean’leh Sirame ay’nae’leh lye myumierae.
Oh Moccus, ordivtilrun, nae’leh ahern kae illera.”
Offerings: Tributes of a hunt, equipment or weaponry of conquered enemies and fallen allies alike.
Ritual of Worship
There are many rituals that may be performed for the Wolf and Boar Princes, though the greatest celebration is held annually, in remembrance of The War of Moccus and Morea. The festivities begin at dawn with a hunt led by a warrior clan, who always return successfully with a plentiful gathering, and one live boar.
This day and their festivities are held by one of the myumierir’sul. They lead those gathered in prayer, dedicating one to each Prince, before they will perform a ceremonial sacrifice of the live boar kept from that morning. The heart is carefully carved from the animal, and the importance of it and its symbolism is stressed, before it is offered into the flames. Those who wish to make personal offerings are encouraged to before the ritual continues.
Any priest would now recount a short version of The War of Moccus and Morea, whilst three dressed as the Boar Prince, the Wolf Prince, and Artaxion entertain with an accompanying act. During the performance, those gathered who wish to join along on provided drums begin to play a well known, rhythmic and powerful beat, and continue on as the actors of Moccus and Morea shift into one on one combat, representing the annual duel between the two Mani.
War games follow the ceremony, and the winner of the duel is granted the first pick for teams. The style of game is not set in stone, and often changes yearly. Prior to the start of the game, competitors take part in prayer, speaking the Essence of War and drink a sip of the Essence of Cernunnos, boars blood.
Once the war games are finished, all come together for a feast, consuming the hunted boar from that morning, the flesh of the beast that was felled in the hunt by the blessing of the gods.
Amaethon - The Stag
God of Fatherhood, Justice, Compassion and Regality
SpoilerThe Sovereign of all Cervidae, the silent watcher of the grass and woodlands. Amaethon’s realm is vast and rich, his subjects provide much game for the descendent races and that which he provides must never be taken for granted. For his subjects, the great horned beasts of the world can turn on the descendent predator at a moments notice.
He is the God of Regality for he is a Stag, the ruler of the herd and shows dignity in his realm. Of Compassion, for he must care for the health and wellbeing of his herd so it might survive the winter. Of Justice, for those who wrong the herd must face their sovereign and pay recompense. Of Fatherhood, as he must be an example to the rising bucks in the herd so that they may lead their own some day.
Prayer:
Ellaurir’Amean, Amaethon,
heya lye mamean marwehnsaenan’ehya ito narneyae,
kaean’leh ortilrun nae illerae.
kaean’leh Sirame ay’nae’leh lye myumierae.
Oh maehran lle’ehya Amaethon, nae’leh ahern kae illera.
Offerings: Peonies and daisies. Antlers from a hunted animal are one of the most favorable offerings.
Ritual of Worship
Amaethon’s chief ritual among his worshippers is the dance of Amaethon and the Silent Beast. To begin, a bonfire is raised near a shrine to Amaethon, ceremonial drums are then brought out to encircle the fire, the largest set in the middle and dedicated to whoever will lead in both prayer and song.
At the start of this ritual, the priest will lead those gathered in a prayer to the Prince of Cervidae, and whoever wishes to make an offering are called upon to bring it forward, and give it into the fire. Two individuals are chosen and are given hand-crafted costumes to wear. For the Silent Beast, a cruel wooden mask and dark robes under various shaggy and tattered pelts. And for The Prince of Cervidae, pure white, clean robes and a headdress of antlers.
While the priest recites the story to the gathering, the two chosen act it out in the form of an elegant and emotional dance. Those who have taken a spot at a drum follow a slow and steady beat until Amaethon overpowers the Beast, now drumming as loud and strong as they can. As the dance ends, the priest offers final words and a concluding prayer, those gathered repeating so.
Bolomormaa - The Bear Mother
The Goddess of Motherhood, and Protector of the Family
SpoilerThe Wild Princess of Bears is capable of great ferocity, but also sincere gentleness. First and foremost, she is a spirit who values protection and guardianship. Bolomornaa does not seek war or conflict, she is not aggressive in this regard. Woe to those who threaten her cubs or tribe, however.
Fittingly she is revered as the patron of mothers and motherhood, for few things are more close to nature, than caring for and protecting one’s offspring. Blessings of Bolomormaa are sought by new mothers, or mothers-to-be, who wish to invoke her gentleness and protection. Mothers whose children are older, or those who occupy a protective role in society, may pray for her strength and ferocity.
Like a mother, the Princess of Bears always listens but does not always have to answer.
Prayer:
Elevarir Bolomormaa, Ellaurir ay’Lenotsan,
heya’leh cerun orhil’ehya adilnan okarere.
kaean’leh ortilrun nae illerae,
kaean’leh Sirame ay’nae’leh lye myumierae.
Oh Bolomormaa llean, ehya llytan’ehya, nae’leh ahern kae illera.
Offerings: Gardenia, rosebud and oleander flowers, tributes from a hunt, afterbirth.
Ritual of Worship
Those who wish to perform the ritual kneel around an altar, upon which sits a white beeswax candle surrounded by holly, oleanders and gardenias. Often there is slow, deep drumming throughout the ritual, but it is not required. The central candle is lit and offerings are added to the altar, while the one leading the ritual (usually a Priest) chants Bolomormaa’s prayer.
As the leader finishes the prayer, the others join in gradually growing in volume, repeating the prayer throughout. One by one, those who follow Bolomormaa lean forward with a colored candle they have brought with them, lighting it from the central white candle, while praising the Bear Mani and asking her to stir their inner bear. A purple candle symbolizes inner Balance, patience and motherliness. An orange candle symbolizes fire, protection and courage. A red candle symbolizes blood, childbirth and feminine power. After a candle is lit, it is placed upon the altar while the one bearing it stands and assumes a posture of strength as they take Bolomormaa’s qualities into themselves.
By this point, the chanting has grown into a roar, and the beating of one’s chest may join the drumming in creating a loud, powerful display until each has had their turn. Upon completion the leader indicates so and those present may leave, their blood pumping, muscles buzzing and feeling empowered by the Bear.
Kwakwani - The Trickster Raven
The Goddess of Beauty, Poetry, and Artistry
SpoilerThe great Raven is one of the most mysterious Mani, for she is the trickster, the bringer of prosperity and misfortune. It is the great Raven that presides over the fortunes of those in her flock, toying with the fates of the devout. It is known among her followers that worthy offerings to the raven often bring fortune, while in turn, she enjoys punishing those who displease her.
The Raven is most often disguised walking among us or watching us from the eyes of her children which nest upon her shrine.
Kwakwani is also a symbol of beauty in the world. Her black wings, painted with hints of color in the right light, spread color and beauty upon the winds as she flies above.
Prayer:
Lennielan Kwakwani, Ellaurir ay’Vulliran Len’ehya,
leyuan ito nae’leh orvalmsae.
kaean’leh ortilrun nae illerae,
kaean’leh Sirame ay’nae’leh lye myumierae.
Oh Kwakwani vullan ordivtulrun’ehya, nae’leh ahern kae illera.
Offerings : Coins, Precious Trinkets, Fallen Raven feathers, Beads.
Ritual of Worship
The Ritual of Fortune is a sacred ritual that is done in private. It is a special ceremony that is between yourself and the Goddess. Sitting in solitude at the feet of the Raven, one would lay a small bowl of trinkets and offerings before her. Then, taking a fallen raven feather, one would hold it to their heart, whispering upon the feather one’s wish or desire before placing the feather in the bowl with the offering. Following the laying of the feather, one would lay their own blood upon the feather, sacrificing not only material but part of themselves to the raven. Should their offering be pleasing, the raven will grant the wish.
The Ritual of Beauty is something that is to be shared and displayed to other Mali. Dressing in the garments of the Raven, black feathers adorning their shoulders as if wings with beads and feathers in their hair, the followers of the Raven paint intricate designs upon their skin in black paint. Then, as drums play out in the night, the followers of the raven spread their wings, dancing in sync to the beat as they circle the fire.
Nemglan - The Thunderbird
The Goddess of Freedom and Thunder
SpoilerLady of the sky, chieftainess of the bird of prey. It is said Nemglan is a Mani that can be in perpetual flight, never needing to land, and only doing so to perform its rare interactions with mankind or other beasts and Mani spirits. She is the god of Eagles, Hawks, Kestrels and Falcons. To the Elves, she is a patron of free will, for freedom is as natural to elfkind as the skies is to a bird.
Thunder is said to be an omen of Nemglan. The flapping of her great wings is said to cause the phenomenon, and lightning storms are said to be her wrath. As such, she is known to worshippers as the Thunderbird. Nemglan is also the patron of the journey. Those travelling long distances will pray to the Thunderbird for a safe arrival at their location. Those who fall ill of her favour will find themselves lost in storm.
Prayer:
Ordivtilruer Nemglan, Ellaurir ay’vallelacaelean.
heya’eh tahorranan mettaonn’ehya viran suliereyae,
kaean’leh ortilrun nae illerae.
kaean’leh Sirame ay’nae’leh lye myumierae.
Oh maehran lle’ehya Nemglan, nae’leh ahern kae illera.
Offerings: Feathers of an eagle or any other predatory bird, the protea and gladiolus flowers, small prey.
Ritual of Worship
The Storm - The opportunity to worship the Thunderbird comes when it storms. During a true hail of rain, thunder and lightning, devotees of Nemglan must trek to an area of high altitude where there is open air. They lay the ground around them with the feathers of an eagle, hawk or falcon- which often blow away in the stormy wind into the open air.
From then, the worshippers hold long metal rods decorated with feathers, bone and their own blood while speaking Nemglan’s prayer. This is a test of faith. If the lightning from the storm does not strike the rod-bearer, then the Thunderbird favours them. If they are struck by lightning, then they have angered her. This must continue until the storms end.
The Tamer - Falconing is, in and of itself, a sacred practice to worshippers of the Thunderbird. Devotees of Nemglan spend years seeking out her wildest beasts. Taming the fiercest of eagles and hawks and training them to kill. Skilled falconers who can lead their birds to catch the most pray donate parts of their hunt to Nemglan’s shrines to show their worthiness.
Hamatsa - The Dolphin of Mercy
God of the Sea, Healing and Fishermen
SpoilerAs there were many old wood elven seeds that dwelled by the rivers and coasts, aquatic Mani naturally came to be worshipped. None more prominent than Hamatsa- Prince of Dolphins, who was said to be able to guide great schools of fish into the nets of grateful fishermen. He is the patron of Sea-Dwellers, Fishermen, and Sailors, and one of the more friendlier Mani as he travels in a group with his species across the water and aids travellers that have lost their way.
Water has always been associated with the element of gentleness and healing. And as Hamatsa is a God of the water, with dolphins considered to be among the friendliest of the ocean’s creatures, Hamatsa himself is the patron of Elven healers, herbalists and doctors everywhere.
Fishermen often tell the tale of the gentle spirit of the sea which reflects the overall nature and attitude of Hamatsa. His playfulness knows no bounds and loves to play games with other creatures as well as Descendants. Though he might show gentleness towards mortals, this Mani Prince is also quite intelligent and will viciously attack in groups with its fellow kin to wipe out a threat.
Prayer:
Ellaurir’Valleiansae, Hamatsa,
siyueran myan’ehya ito heya’leh lye,
kaean’leh ortilrun nae illerae.
kaean’leh Sirame ay’nae’leh lye myumierae.
Oh lle orwaleh’ehya Hamatsa, nae’leh ahern kae illera.
Offerings: Mandragora and larkspur flowers, fresh fish, seashells and pearls.
Ritual of Worship
Hamatsa’s most popular ritual is one meant to offer a day of joy and healing to those in need, or protection to someone planning on setting sail for a long period of time. The ideal location for the beginning of Hamatsa’s ritual is a cliff which overlooks the ocean, where the participating group will venture at sunrise. The myumierir’sul will lead the gathering in song and chant.
The ritual is all about becoming one with the sea, and from the cliff, the best way to do so is to leap into the welcoming waters of Hamasta’s domain. The goal now is to dive deep, retrieving as many of the ocean’s gifts from the seafloor before swimming to the nearest beach with them. Those who gathered shells and whatever else they found use them to decorate themselves, and others who may not have gotten anything.
All will put aside one of their found treasures to offer back to Hamatsa during his prayer, which is led by a myumierir’sul. The rest of the day is spent in the water, in song, in prayer, or all three at once. A feast of seafoods are prepared, and eaten on the sands of the beach as well.
Ohowaki - The Wise Owl
The Goddess of Knowledge, Teachers, Scholars and the Silent Hunter
SpoilerTo hear Owl is to know peace, for her prey will never hear her approach. Her speed, grace, and prowess as the hunter of the night surround her with tales of both death and comfort. This Mani also holds Knowledge, Wisdom, and Patience. Many would seek her out to gain her stories or tales and she is more often than not disguised as a normal messenger owl to a scholar or librarian. Those that show they are knowledge seekers, teachers, and/or watchers of the night may find an owl one day perched nearby to observe them working.
In elnarnsae’ame, Ohowaki is revered as one who brings realization, enlightenment and wisdom. All who value such qualities respect her, but it is those whose life is dedicated to teaching and learning, who would mark themselves with her Crest.
Prayer
Ohowaki maehran, Ellaurir ay’Ibaran.
lyun ito heya’leh orrarnan,
kaean’leh ortilrun nae illerae.
kaean’leh Sirame ay’nae’leh lye myumierae
Oh Ohowaki ormaehr, ehya leyuan, nae’leh ahern kae illera.
Offerings: Calla lilies, iris and clary flowers, owl feathers, books, letters or poems.
Ritual of Worship
In reference to the silence with which an owl hunts, this ritual is conducted in total silence.
Upon an altar, or on the ground centered between those performing, carrying oil infused with peppermint is heated under a small flame to allow the aroma to spread around. Irises, calla lilies, clarys and larkspurs will often be laid around the oil burner as well. The Priest or other leader of the ritual comes to those gathered bearing a single lit white candle, often they are also adorned with feathers or the likeness of an owl. This symbolizes Ohowaki bringing knowledge and enlightenment to Descendants.
The leader offers the candle’s flame to the other attendees, who will light their own candles from it. Should there be many people there, the flame passes to those nearest to the leader firstly, then is passed outward in a chain or web. Once the candles are lit, those present move down to sit or kneel and meditate before their candle- The flame of knowledge that Ohowaki has gifted them. At this point the ritual is complete, but many worshippers of the Great Moonlight Bird will remain in meditation for hours afterward.
Machana - The Steed
The Goddess of Equestrians
SpoilerMachana is a Mani whose influence holds much weight in the realm of Descendants, her kin coexisting as Elven mounts. Unlike other Mani, Machana has a more passive nature and often refuses to engage in conflict. However, anyone who mistreats their mount may awake one day to find an organized stampede of horses flattening their stable and galloping their way to freedom.
Machana, like all Mani, watches over her flock in nature. All herds of wild horses are her domain, and she dutifully leads them to the greenest pastures and most suitable climates. Men and Elves who seek to tame a wild horse will often be blessed by Machana with a strong and loyal steed should they make the right offerings and afford the right respect beforehand.
Her shrines often sit outside of cities, or along the road, reflecting the come-and-go nature of worshippers and the Mani herself. Offerings may be placed before a long journey, or upon returning home safely.
Prayer:
Machana, heya wynan’anoh marwehnsaenan hiuwera
heya lye divohn wehnsaenan ito narneyae,
kaean’leh ortilrun nae illerae.
kaean’leh Sirame ay’nae’leh lye myumierae.
Oh Machana, leyuan, nae’leh ahern kae illera.
Offerings: lathyrus, amaryllis and sweet pea flowers, braids of horse hair, carvings or figurines.
Ritual of Worship
A circle of drums is prepared by Priests of Machana, always outdoors to reflect the wild nature of the Princess of Steeds. Usually the ritual is performed midday, and attendees will braid their hair or otherwise take on the likeness of a horse. Worshippers drum together vigorously, to simulate the galloping of horses, while dancers assemble in the centre of the circle.
The dancers face inwards and take the wrist of their opposite partner, before turning to the right. They then dance together to the drumming, simulating a herd of wild horses galloping together. Through this a Priest will lead worshippers in chanting Machana’s prayer, to complete the ritual. Afterward, many worshippers will undergo travel or may ride at leisure, under the blessing of their patron Princess.
Felixii - The Wildcat
The Goddess of Secret Keepers, Observers, and Mischievous Watchers
SpoilerPrayer:
Marvull Felixi, Ellaurir’leh Ame
Heya'leh taliyuan uell uhiereyae,
Kaean'leh ortilrun nae illerae.
Kaean'leh Sirame ay'nae'leh lye myumierae.
O' Felixi, sulierir'ordivulie, kae'leh ahern kaean illera.
Offerings: Cat grass, an Arctic Hare corpse, or something you would consider a secret
Ritual of Worship
In accordance to the secretive nature of the Wildcat, the ritual undertaken in her honor is done in a quiet place away from prying eyes and listening ears.
A proper altar to the Wildcat goddess is made of any material so long as it is a sturdy and crafted in a basic rectangular shape with two cat-like eyes carved into it, one for the left and right side of the altar. The ritual itself is led by a singular priest of Felixii, adorned in the sleek finery of a Wildcat or alternatively face paint depicting a cat and/or significant to the Wildcat. The ritual itself is fairly straightforward. The priest approaches the altar and arranges the offerings, an arctic hare corpse in the center and one bundle of cat grass atop each carved eye of the table- As if they were peering through the tendrils of grass to observe their prey in the center. The priest then chants the elven prayer aloud for all who gathered to hear it, requiring absolute silence in order for the words to be heard by the Wildcat herself. Once the prayer is had, the priest beckons the attendees to line up before the altar with their offerings of small game or cat grass to add onto whats already been placed. Once the offering of one attendee has been added, they must whisper a secret of their own to the altar so that it may be counted among Felixii’s vast collection.
It is said that if the Wildcat deems a secret exceptional and/or worthy, the whisperer of the offering will catch a glimpse of one such cat watching from the shadows or brush before swiftly disappearing from sight.
SpoilerThe Green Priesthood is comprised mostly of Elven Druids and their acolytes. Their mandate is to preserve and spread the traditional tribal culture of the mali’ame people, through promoting the worship of the Aspects and the Mani, and the facilitation of spiritual festivals, dances, and rituals.
The Green Priesthood is led by three Archpriests, who oversee the cultural and spiritual activities conducted by all the spiritual leaders in the circle.
The bulk of the Green Priesthood is made up of Priests, these are attuned druids who have been trained rigorously in the ancient practices of the Wild Faith, and now administer to the spiritual needs of the mali’ame, Alders and other forest peoples.
Under Priests are Acolytes, who in essense are Priests in training, each one under the tutelage of a specific Priest. They undergo a set of rigorous trials that prepare them for life as both a druid and a Priest, before being given the Druidic gift in a ritual known as attunement.
Binding Rites
Some rituals and practices are common to all sects of elnarnsae’ame. These commonalities in tradition and customs are what unites the Wood Elves of Alders and Irrinites under one faith.
Ilmyumier Tattoos
SpoilerThe process of inking ones skin is a universally sacred practice among all the Alder and Irrinite tribes who follow elnarnsae’ame. These tattoos vary greatly in form and meaning. Principally, a tattoo on a Wood Elf represents either the Clan to which they belong, the role or occupation they hold in society, or the specific Gods they choose as their patrons.
Clan tattoos are a way for all Elves to identify each other by each tribe they belong to. A clan tattoo has a uniform aesthetic that all members of the clan bare. Caerme’onn bares crimson red streaks that resemble a stag’s horns, while Ithelanen bare cyan streaks that embody their honoured dead. Most Elven clans don’t accept folks as full members until they’ve completed their trials and earned their clan tattoos.
Status and patronage tattoos take on the likeness of specific Mani gods. Each Mani embodies traits that reflect upon certain societal roles, thus different societal tattoos are bound to different Mani. For example, a tattoo of Kwakwani is worn by artists. And a tattoo of Morea is worn by warriors and chieftains. But they can also be worn by Priests of those Mani, and general worshippers of them.
A list of some standing Ilmyumier can be found here.
Wedding Rites
SpoilerIn order to join two Elves together in a life bond, the couple must earn the approval of their Clan chieftains. If the bride or groom is of no clan, then their closest immediate family must approve.
With a trained Priest of the myumieri’sul, a couple may proceed with a union taking place somewhere sacred to the Aspects and Mani. This includes shrines, Druidic Groves, or areas of nature connecting the mortal and fae realms.
Before the ceremony, the marrying couple must make one another sacred life gifts. The gift partners give one another must be symbolic of their entire lives leading up to this point. So, in giving the gift to their love, they are effectively handing their life over to them.
The gift can be anything. A warrior could symbolize their life in the form of a weapon, with carvings and decorations special for their lover. A hunter might braid a specially crafted bearskin for their partner. Many Elves decide to carve totems of their lives from a block of wood.
The Ceremony
When a place has been chosen and invitations sent, the ceremony begins. The process in which the progresses differs from Clan to Clan, and Elf to Elf, but by in large, the traditional wedding goes as follows.
1) The chieftain of the Seeds the two Elves hail from must lead them to the altar, and present them to the priest. The chieftain must speak aloud that he presents his seedkin to the myumierir’sul so they may be wed. If the engaged couple are from the same Seed, the chieftain of that seed leads them both up. If one does not belong to a Seed, they are represented by their closest blood-relative.
2) The Priest begins by establishing the sanctity of the ritual. They must bless the couple in the name of their clan’s patron Mani, and the Aspects themselves. They must speak a sermon on how the joining of man and woman is a natural balance, just like the wilds themselves of which the Elves hold so sacred.
3) The Priest instructs the two Elves to present to each other their life vows and speak their sacred oaths. The male goes first traditionally, then the female. Both explain the meaning of their gift, and how it embodies their life, then put it in the hands of their lover. If they wish to speak additional vows, they can.
4) The priest offers a knife made of bone to the couple. The man traditionally goes first with the woman following, slicing his hand and allowing blood to pool in his palm. The myumieri’sul then instructs the man to mark the woman’s forehead with his own blood, the woman following once again. This marking can take any shape the individual chooses, and simply acts as another symbol of giving themselves to the other.
5) The Priest then presents a jug with two spouts before the couple. This jug is filled with water from a druidic Attunement pool. Water is the lifeblood of all nature, and thus considered sacred. In drinking the holy water together, the couple are sealing their lives as one. The Priest instructs them to drink, and they must until the jug is empty. In doing so, the couples have joined themselves in blood and water, the two sacred essences of life.
6) Once the water is drained, the Priest must seal the marriage in the eyes of the Aspects. He must speak the following words (once again with room for adaptation): “And so it is sealed. May the mother of spring bare them many children and have them grow healthy, the father give them strength, bravery and willpower in the years to come. Under the light of the Aspects, I declare you man and wife.” This sermon can be adapted to fit the clan’s patron Mani instead.
Celebration
Any wedding is meant to be followed by an all day and night celebration, with all of their kin and any citizen wishing to join in. Directly after the ceremony, is another display of faith and dedication to the Aspects and Mani, in the form of a drum circle and dancing from both the newlyweds and then their guests.
The Elven Seeds then use this occasion as a way to flaunt their wealth, providing drinks and tables of the finest foods in honor of the couple and all their guests. Drinking games are common, and so are the finest and freshest hunted meats.
Commonly during an Ichorian celebration, many men and women then choose to take to the ring, sparring to show off their strength and bravery in the name of Morea. After a few free rounds, a tournament begins, and the champion is fabled to be the next to wed!

Funeral Rites
SpoilerWhen an Elf of elnarnsae’ame passes, their kinsfolk speak a prayer to the great Aspects above, and the patron Mani of their clan, begetting the dead’s soul either passes into the faerie realm, or is reborn into something pure and new. In one form or another, the body is returned to nature. In this, there are three ways to do so. The rite of earth, fire, and water.
In the funeral rite of earth, family members of the passed Elf bury his body in a land with fertile soil. They then plant a small sapling atop the dirt where their corpse lays. The body fertilizes the tree and thus in passing, the Elf’s corporeal form is returned to nature.
In the funeral rite of water, family members of the passed Elf lay his body on a raft of lilies and reeds beset with offerings to their patron Mani, and float him down a river, or into the ocean. In doing this, the body is eventually swallowed up by the waters and becomes sustenance for the creatures of the depths, returning its essence to nature.
In the funeral rite of fire, family members of the passed Elf place his body on a great pyre beset with offerings to their Patron Mani, and set it alight. When the body is burnt, the ashes are collected and spread into the sky over fertile soil, so that it may enrich the land. In this, its essence is returned to nature.
