Alright. I was actually slightly afraid to post an app, but what the Nether. I'm interested to see how this will play out. Even if the app is accepted, my character may still reject the transformation, depending on how things play out. But enough of that.
I have been playing my character, Sherria Carver, since Asulon, and she is my new main. I have no other characters besides her, and I believe I'm fairly active on the server. And now for some backstory! (I would post my VA, which contains most of her info, but it seems to have... gone missing...)
Sherria Carver
25(?) years old
Human
Sherria was born a shy, soft and gentle girl. Problem was, she was born amongst a band of thieves in the Asulon wilds. She wanted to be useful to them, but everything she tried, she failed miserably in. All except knife-play. She was raised as an assassin, forcing her to choose between wanting to be useful to her family, or not hurt anybody.
Unable to decide, she created an alter ego, a state of mind: Carver. As Carver, she pushed out all her weak thoughts and did what needed to be done. It gave her some sort of comfort that it isn't technically her who's hurting people. As she grew up, though, Carver started developing into her own personality, though not entirely separate from Sherria.
The turning point came, one day, when she saw her entire 'family' backstab each other over a recent heist. Her mother betrayed the whole clan, selling them out to the authorities. Her brother, which she loved dearly, was killed trying to protect her. The one man whom she trusted, her mentor, ratted her out to the authorities. She managed to escape before she was caught, and was forced to live on her own by her own means.
It was then that Carver's task shifted. No longer was she just called out to do things that Sherria can't or won't; she became her guardian. She took away Sherria's bad memories in order to preserve her innocence, bearing the burden herself. Sherria remained as her gentle self, while Carver grew bitter and distrusting as time passed.
Carver has always been in a perpetual state of despair. Firstly, she takes Sherria's bad memories as her own, feeling what Sherria would feel in that circumstance. If Sherria's pet died, Carver would mourn on her behalf. Carver, in turn, gives Sherria all the happy thoughts, and she's afraid to be happy herself. If she decided to have her own life, she was perfectly capable of erasing Sherria, so she forces herself to be miserable to prevent that. On the other hand, she knows that one day she may just snap and harm Sherria.
Sherria has already gone through 3 boyfriends (well, 2 and 1 girlfriend), and Carver has taken the heartbreak for all three. She's also had two previous relationships of her own, both of which never worked out, of course. She knows that Sherria would willingly give her own love life up for the sake of Carver, and Carver doesn't want that at all, so she refrains from any romantic ties.
Carver has developed her own needs and wants, much to her dismay. What's worse, they normally clash with what Sherria wants, or directly puts her in danger. She lives a miserable life, where all happiness brings guilt, and rest and relaxation is unheard of. She's forced to be nice to people she dislikes for Sherria's sake, and step into situations where she'd rather not under request from Sherria. She's constantly in conflict with herself. Do what she wants? Or what Sherria wants?
Getting marked to be a frost witch would be... interesting. She would try her best to reject such a thing if she learns what being a frost witch entails. Sherria will never be able to live a normal life again, and that is what exactly she's trying to prevent. Then again, the despair may overwhelm her, and she may just give in. I honestly don't know what will happen myself.
[Edit: Found my VA again. The links in my signature should take you to it, which has her backstory during the character's conceptualization.]
