  1. Again gonna be a whiteknighting ****** here. Nathan was at 9 warning points. Rebecca hid his reply, as well as my replies on it because it was a shitty ooc status update. Nathan took it a step too far by making another status update about Rebecca complaining of his removal. This status was in clear violation of forum rules and thus he received a warning point. Now Nathan I understand his actions. It was just after the wc, adrenaline was flowing, easy to make mistakes. The fact that he was so high on warning points was just an unfortunate coincidence. No need for a thread like this it only encourages witch hunting and makes staff feel atracked and victimized, which they frequently are. Nathan is more than capable of discussing his ban privately and rationally with Rebecca, and I have no doubt that that's what will happen. These threads hurt a lot more than they help.
  2. this just sucks. This whole thing just ******* sucks. Having been speaking to Tsuyose for a while about it, I can't imagine how shitty he's feeling right now. He's spent literal months of planning this, he's been fighting for it and working on it tirelessly and working himself to near exhaustion to try to get this event line done. All that, only to get fucked over by this mod... I don't even know what the word for it is at this point. Corruption? Ridiculousness? Immaturity? Shilling? All of these and plenty more. It's just sad to see someone work so hard on something only to get shut down because of trivialities and over attached gms. Especially sad that he's been cursed and yelled at for trying to do so. I've always tried to not be a "grr staff" player so I really hate to be jumping on the proverbial bandwagon but my opinion of staff and some staff members in particular, ones who I genuinely thought were doing a fantastic job, has really dropped because of this.
  3. Shame that the staff of our server are literally incapable of the level of maturity required to run an event line where they don't win. The staff of this server have shown a truly disappointing level of immaturity. Shame on me for expecting a higher standard.

  9. "No," says Nikolai, who happens to be enjoying a pastry in the neutral Teutonic lands while on vacation and conveneiently happens to overhear Tarkus' offhand comments "Not even close. This doesn't fit even the broadest definition of terrorism because fundamentally, these acts are not designed to spread fear or terror. Our demands are simple, friendly even. All we have asked for is an end to the blatant lies that were spread by Courland to bring their allies into this. Then we shall return the prisoners of war."
  10. A truly outstanding player. Amazing gm material +1

  13. Nikolai Rykov reads the letter, not with disgust or outrage, but with curiosity. He sets his quill down, penning a response "Dear Princess Sophia, I have found your letter to be of great interest, and I'm both surprised and pleased by the eloquence of your letter. Unfortunately, the contents of it do not please me as such as I have found them to be riddled with falsehoods and uncalled for accusations. I mean no insult by this, but I will take my pen to defend my liege and homland First and foremost, I express the utmost sorrow and regret for assassination attempts on your life. To assault any lady, much less a child, is a grave sin and a curse in the face of GOD. It truly goes a great distance to show the sad state that Axios is in. However, whoever this man may be, he has no ties or connection to House Ruthern. To be quite frank, I find the accusation or implication that this man was sent by house Ruthern to be grievously insulting, and the fact that it's tossed out without a second thought, as if it's common knowledge ("If one is to point out the faults of us, is it not fair to admit their own?"), to be baffling. What propaganda occurs in your capitals that such lies and slander could be tossed out so casually? There seems to be a confusion, a misunderstanding maybe? Some seem to believe that the rebellious House Ruthern are Haensetic sympathists. This could not be farther from the truth. We were no more close to Haense than the Archduke was--in fact one of our principal leaders who was cut down at the Massacre of Alexandria had fought against Haense in the Haense-Courland war, as had Count Joren's father Viktor, something that Franz the False did not. He only arrived as a claimant after the war was well and finished. Princess, I cannot stress enough that the only crime committed by House Ruthern was failure to pay a 7,000 mina fine. There was no banditry, no assassinations, no attacks, no affronts. Please keep this in mind as the war effort progresses, and know we as honorable men of Axios will always protect you, the innocent. This war never should have come about, but since it is so obviously unavoidable we will do the most we possibly can to ensure that no innocents are harmed, that no child or woman's blood is spilled. With regards, Nikolai Rykov" ((nice post
  14. Minecraft Username(s): Ruthern Age: 16 Time Zone: PST Skype: mr.creeper5 Discord: MaxGemini#9971 Have you been previously banned (be it a forum or server ban) and under what circumstances did you receive this ban?: no Have you ever received warning points and what actions were committed to receive such points?: I got a warning point once for making an angry feedback post about fms silencing m-m-muh freedom of speech. I also got a warning point for make a paedophilia joke about tahmas. That's all. Moderating the forums is a very time dependent staff position. How much time, on average, would you be able to dedicate to moderating?: I'm kinda on the forums 24/7, I keep tabs up on my pc and my phone and I'm subscribed to every rp subforum so I'd say quite a bit of time indeed. What experience do you have using the LotC forums or any forum in general?: Don't really use forums besides LOTC but I've been on here for 4 years so I'd say I've got a pretty good grasp of how they work. What does it mean to be a Forum Moderator, in your own words? What responsibilities does the Forum Moderator have to carry out in order to successfully do their job?: A forum moderator's job is simple: to create a forum space that amplifies, and expands on the ability of players to carry out rp. Forums should always be treated as a supplementary tool for the server, so the job of the FM is to make sure it stays that way. The forums have to be kept as an rp-focused place. That means an FM's job is to hide meme, ooc, or otherwise off-topic posts. OOC has its place on the forums just as it does ingame--plenty of people like to hang around and chat with their friends in looc or banter in ooc chat, but there's a time and place for that. The forums should be the same way, with OOC posts regulated to their own sections or hidden if inappropriate. The other part of an FM's job is helping people, usually newer and less experienced players. That could be anything from moving topics to the right section, or simple organization of subforums to make sure that the information held in the forums is easily accessible to all players. Have you ever held a staff position here on LotC? Do you currently hold any other staff positions? If so, list them and highlight something about the team that you enjoyed/enjoy.: I hold no staff positions, though I was an ET in late 2016/early 2017. Why should you be a Forum Moderator? What can you bring forward to the team that allows you to moderate and enforce the conduct of the forums?: I think the best quality I have for FM work the ability to accept that I was wrong, or made a mistake. I feel that a lot of players on LOTC are very stubborn in their decisions. While I generally view this as a good quality, any person in a position of authority should be able to amend their positions on certain subjects or amend mistakes that they have made with ease. In addition, I believe that I'm not subject to bias towards my friends in the slightest. Though I like some people on LOTC more than others (obviously) I've never had a problem with tell my friends when they're being ******* stupid or doing something wrong/against the rules/morally fucked, and therefore I see myself as an unbiased candidate. What characteristics do you posses that makes you stand out from any other applicant?: I'm outside of the usual staff clique. Looking at the last batch of accepted AT apps, there were 10. Of those 10, exactly half of them had already been FMs. I'm not saying that choosing fms with experience is a bad thing, or accusing anyone of bias. But I do believe that the staff clique is real, so if you ask me what sets me apart from other applicants, I'd say that. Are there members of the current Forum Moderation Team that you do not get along with or see a problem with working with in the future? If so, what is it that could hinder your ability to work together. Remember, this is a team and working together is the main foundation of a team.: I have no qualms with anyone on the team. Are there any extra things you'd like to mention?: im gay nd if u dont pick me ur all homophobic
