    i'm on a mac and every time i open skype now it just freezes up instantly, restarted it countless times but it still ain't working; has something similar to this happened to anyone before and if so how'd you fix it??

      Happens to me constantly. Best thing I can advise is just waiting. Best I can guess is it's loading all messages you have.
