Due to dangers he and his father faced, Divu felt it was better to leave his son alone in the Conclave. He spent most of his time in the inn, which was run by the Deathsbane at the time. Around the age of 14, Veren went missing, getting lost in the jungle north of the Orcish Desert. He stayed lost for two years, meeting his best friend, a parrot which he named Cocca. Eventually, he did find his way back, just in time to pass through the portal to Fringe before the flood. He showed himself again to the Druid's in their Mother Grove on the plateau of Alras. There, he joined the Order as a dedicant under Callax. He quickly ran into his childhood friend and crush, Virella, whom he told of his feelings for her. Two more years passed and Veren was attuned by Archdruid Garun. He then proposed to Virella and they were wedded in the newly grown Druid's Hollow. Time passed and the Descendants moved to Thales, in which Veren's first and only blood daughter, Cecilia, was born. He and Virella began to experience issues in their marriage when she began to become much more violent. Once again, the Descendants moved on to Athera. There, Veren quickly came into possession of the plot of land next to the Grove. There, Veren and Virella finally came to terms and divorced. Taynuel joined with Veren, declaring themselves brothers. Around that time, Veren met his next love, a man named Jessie. Soon, they were engaged and adopted a young girl named Seirye. Ker'Vuln joined Veren and Tay as a new brother, and soon he was thought dead. Almost everyone in the family had a hard time, several almost taking their own lives. Ker reappeared, Veren learning he had faked his death to gain a 'vacation'. Veren and Jessie adopted again, a young half-dark elf child named Irosdir.
