  1. Realms is not meant to tie you down to a specific nation in regards to regular roleplay or consolidate power, its merely just a useful way to organize players in war and replaces CEX with its dedicated use

@monkeypoacherwhat do you think would fix the issue? I'd like to hear, maybe I can send some into our chats and we can discuss them

People have written a lot more eloquently than me about their issues and suggestions. But I'll give a crude summary which is this:

Nations have too many blocks, players have no blocks. Nation leaders have no incentive to settle new players, build the world, or create roleplay. Regular players do. Want to guess who gets land and privileges?

I think staff should rework systems so that they serve players, not nations, and try to remove OOC barriers and influences on dynamic roleplay.

      Here's what I suggest:

      Nation Rules, Land Administration

      1. Expand the Realms plugin. Replace nations, settlements, lairs etc. with a one-size-fits-all land claim system (like nexus-regions). Individual players are now allowed to claim their own land for an upfront cost of minas/resources and an ongoing activity cost. Nation leaders can start with a certain number of pre-claimed plots.
      2. Depending on the amount of plugin wizardry involved, individual players can vassalize under another claim, keeping their plot but contributing their activity to the owner of that claim. Nations can now dynamically form from player interaction!

      Worldbuilding and New Map Stuff

      1. Reward a sense of exploration and adventure! Build ruins and cool landmarks everywhere they fit.
      2. Enlist players to build these! Anthos, Athera, and all of our smash hits had extensive player feedback and involvement.

      Economy &  Resources

      1. The weird, deflationary LoTC economy where minas are taken out of your bank account also contributes to a feeling of player helplessness. It no longer has any purpose (currency plugin Soon™) and should be done away with.
      2. Peg the mina to one gold ingot with a sellshop at spawn/capitals. Not only does this allow nations to issue their own currency using gold nugs, but it keeps the mina stable but slightly inflationary over time.
      3. Remove the Global Auction House and maintain the plugin for local auction houses (it used to have this functionality!)
      4. Replace voting minas with random resource drops that contain food, materials, etc. Gambling isn't just addictive, it's fun!
      5. Place mines with iron, coal, gold, etc., as well as nodes with story materials and herbs, etc., in random locations on the map to reward player exploration.

      Moderation, Misc.

      1. LoTC Moderation members should have admin on nation discord servers, to deal with metagaming & harassment, et cetera. Servers where Moderation are not given these perms should not be listed on the discord server.
      2. "PRO consent" should be removed from the rules except where it is absolutely necessary. You shouldn't need some guy's consent to burn his house down.
      3. Warclaim discussions should be held on the forums, or a publicly accessible discord channel.

I appreciate the feedback and will toss around some ideas in our chats related to what you've said here. Some  might not work, but I do think you have good ideas! Thanks!
