  2. what if we got rid of magic slots, i think that's a better idea. who needs a limit on magic? why tie characters down. let them learn everything,...,,. my paladin necromancer cleric alchemist voidal mage hou-zi demidjinn will be very dynamic and you cannot tell me otherwise
  3. thank you admin filibuster, admins love diversity and inclusion until it comes to werew0lfs furry lore... weird huh?
  4. Jiangu'Lak read over the missive, and the one before, entertained by the circumstances. "If there are darkspawn, then they are worthy of being hunted into oblivion." The monk then went back to training his students, preparing them to kill.
  5. "Euyck..." The elder shaman spat out at the missive. Although Jiangu believed the trials weren't bad, but the methodology of recruiting left much to be desired "More to add to the growing list." He'd put simply, storing it for later.
  6. YES SEANVEVO YES PREACH KING!
  7. The pale morning dew, only revealed by the early rising sun, made the notice paper soggy as Jiangu'lak had dropped it a moment prior. "It was you who restored my faith in our people Rue'Lur, and it was your strong heart and will that reinforced my belief as what the Urukim could be." The monk paused, some amount of a bitter smile scrawled across his face before fading back to his solemn stature. "We will do what we have to while you're gone, and if the Stargush takes you, then we will be sure to speak of, and to, you for ages to come."
  8. [CELIA’NORIAN NOTICE] The Cult In Your Walls [!] This notice was spread far and wide, small clay figures handing them out within capital cities before scurrying off to the next person. ⫘ ⋅ ⫘ ∙ ⫘ ∘ ⫘ ☽ ༓ ☾ ⫘ ∘ ⫘ ∙ ⫘ ⋅ ⫘ [DEPICTED: A SKETCH OF THE CULT OF KAELIN] ⫘ ⋅ ⫘ ∙ ⫘ ∘ ⫘ ☽ ༓ ☾ ⫘ ∘ ⫘ ∙ ⫘ ⋅ ⫘ ATTENTION, ATTENTION After two special escapades into the walls of a specific area within the Celia’norian lands, information prevalent within and without the baleful walls of Kaelin lead to a damning conclusion- the CULT within it all. The CULT in question has several key marks of being a cult, listed below. The Council has also gathered a list of their names, their intentions, and have also gotten first-hand witness to their control over the government- and of nefarious acts pertaining to the extraplanar. ⫘ ⋅ ⫘ ∙ ⫘ ∘ ⫘ ☽ ༓ ☾ ⫘ ∘ ⫘ ∙ ⫘ ⋅ ⫘ IN REGARDS TO THEIR CULTIST BEHAVIOR Article III) Obedience The Signatory is expected to adhere to all instructions and commands issued by the Clan Head and their designated superiors. Disobedience will result in disciplinary action as deemed appropriate by the Clan. Absolute Obedience to any ONE thing is to go against the natural will of all beings, and is DISHONORABLE. A law present in nigh-all cults, especially one which wishes to have utter grasp upon their participants. Article V) Secrecy of the Sect The Signatory acknowledges that the Silveira Clan operates within a veiled society. They agree to maintain absolute discretion about the Clan's existence, location, and activities to anyone outside the designated members. This ALONE shows that they hide in the shadows, like agents of the dark, living in a ‘veiled society’ and acting in only their own interests from behind the scenes. THIS shows they intend to control the Celia’norian government and people. Their leader Yera is also on the Celia’norian council and conspires with others to take control over their people. It is not unheard of that they utilize this position for their own whims, as per the people’s words. Article VIII) Self-Sacrifice The Signatory understands that safeguarding the Silveira Clan and its secrets may require personal sacrifice. They pledge to prioritise the Clan's well-being above their own desires and, if necessary, offer their life in its defence. As a trademark of a CULT, they ask that their members lay down their life and DIE for their cause, one that has no link to any overarching power, a grab for power and a pursuit to KILL at their whim. [!] Pinned on the back of the very missive is a mass-made copy of their other oaths and pacts; ⫘ ⋅ ⫘ ∙ ⫘ ∘ ⫘ ☽ ༓ ☾ ⫘ ∘ ⫘ ∙ ⫘ ⋅ ⫘ IN REGARDS TO THEIR RELIGIOUS INFLUENCE THE FRAUD OF TALYNIISM The cultists in question are deeply associated with the RELIGION in Celia’nor, using it as a coverup scheme to push forth their ideals that give them more control and more power. The two seemingly responsible for this part are Yera Silvera, also of the aforementioned cult-family, and someone who goes by the name of A’eo. Those two, in tandem, have been shown to use their power in Celia’nor to falsely accuse people, cover up crimes, and function under the blind eye of the government. The religion in question has ideals stunningly similar to Xionism, the rejection of gods for, as described, a sort of ‘self divinity’. This religious movement has been massly influenced and coaxed by Yera, for the mass-books across the city attempt to goad her idealism onto the masses. This religion is, simply put, a dangerous front for the cultist family that is the Silvera. Not only that, but they are inside of Celia’nor actively pulling the strings to influence the city in the way that benefits their pursuit to divinity easiest, including rituals using blood, absurde oaths with absolute control, or otherwise. THOSE OATHED TO THE CULT-FAMILY SILVERA: Florian Leroux Castamir Cerusil Sarathiel Amenthil Agnar Kalgan Galadrian Arthur Burke Yera Cerusil Avelina Kazimira Vivian Maelstrom La’io Valkor Delphini Fenwarin Burke Asya C. Carmesia ⫘ ⋅ ⫘ ∙ ⫘ ∘ ⫘ ☽ ༓ ☾ ⫘ ∘ ⫘ ∙ ⫘ ⋅ ⫘ FINALLY; THE OTHERWORLDLY PARASITE Lastly, Arthur Burke and several other members of this family are knowingly cultivating something akin to to the Shades of yore, a dark magic PARASITE that allows the user to wield otherworldly power in exchange for their sanity and pursuits. According to my studies, this parasite is something they have taken on optionally even when there are cures; and furthermore, they use it as a powerboost. It is clear that those with this purple-eye parasite are not here for an advantageous reason. This shade-like parasite is a danger, and the Celia’norian government, religion, and the Silvera family are actively covering up its existence and allowing it to survive even given their supposed anti-darkspawn approach- truly a farce above all else, given their baleful plans to conceal this parasitic scourge for their own whims. ⫘ ⋅ ⫘ ∙ ⫘ ∘ ⫘ ☽ ༓ ☾ ⫘ ∘ ⫘ ∙ ⫘ ⋅ ⫘ THUSLY TO CELIANOR All the knowledge present has become known far and wide; let it be known to you, the states of Celia’nor- and let it be known to your councilors, your people, and the very cruel matriarch Yera Silviera-Cerusil herself- the world knows of the truth. Of the rooms within, even one allocated to the foul Voidal-Lich Lanre Cerusil and the many more cruelties done within these walls, all has come to light. The world begins to move- as this information and knowledge begins to reach nations from one to another, those who run these governments begin to realize, that it is time to act, as some already have. Act now, to purge and annihilate Kaelin- it is not yet too late. Yet it soon may be. ⫘ ⋅ ⫘ ∙ ⫘ ∘ ⫘ ☽ ༓ ☾ ⫘ ∘ ⫘ ∙ ⫘ ⋅ ⫘ - Jiangu’lak
  9. yeah i linked her the pages about lore sub guidelines, you can all thank me later.
  10. Jiangu'lak can be seen sitting in Lurak, creating a list of useless, dishonorable, or otherwise bad shamans, noting alongside them the teachers that failed to guide them. He'd be sure to appear in due time.
  11. nice, hopeful for the future
  12. Pinion waltzed up to the Brae-corp door, knocking on it several times and asking if anyone was home. After no response he'd glue a note onto their front door. "GREETINGS! I- Pinion, Alderman of the Custodum, am most interested in speaking with someone inside of this organization. As the leader of the engineering guild within Celia'nor, I'd find it most pleasant for us to interface SOON. Please send bird to me when it is due time we meet. Kindly, Pinion"
  13. $STRY is skyrocketing at this new post fr

  14. Jiangu'lak, standing over the firepit in Lurak, read over the missive and nodded a few times before speaking. "While Honorable that Lurin stood down in the face of defending a corrupt and vile nation, they are still plagued by voidal magi... One day I hope they can escape such damnation." The Monk then rolled up the missive and stored it amongst the others, record keeping of the war.
  15. "UBUNTU MUST FALL!" The pale elf shaman, Jiangu'Lak, cheered as he got back to working on his battle technique, having only taken a short break to read the missive.
  16. Welcome! If you ever have questions, feel free to reach out to me in game, or via discord!
  17. Young Pinion, instilled with the quintessence of passion and drive, had been dwelling over his plans for almost a year now. Some sort of evil laugh came from the young Ker as he took the extensive plans from his desk and sprinted off into the dark.
  18. I think the problem regarding plate armor and ranged weapons really comes from the wonky scaling systems we have on LOTC. The reality is that all players abide simply by how strong + how tall you are = the basic formula for power. The only way that we alter this formula is by subbing strength for utility (e.g. mages can cast spells, instead of swinging sword you could throw potion to trap people, etc.). The one thing we distinctly lack on LOTC is a metric of dexterity that we go by. Not to say add a dex roll or something stupid like that, but maybe limit what a person can do while in plate and give the rangers the wet dream of being able to kite and shoot easier. Add in some scaling very similar to strength that covers the vast and many facets of 'dexterity and agility'. Also adding hard limits to what armor does what (e.g. plate armor can absorb x amount of hits, half plate is x-1, chain is x-2,) and then adding some unique properties to each armor (plate is better against blunt relative to chainmail, which is better against stabbing, etc etc) would give each of them a balanced role if put relative to what you can do in a single turn. These are all just random ideas to throw out there, but I think if we went by more systems than just my strength vs ur strength or my magic vs my antimagic is going to far better work in the lotc world instead of whatever socially agreed upon system we have now.
  19. honestly why restrict their magic at all, i get that xan maybe is racist but he also doesn't directly have control over mortal choice (as is seen by the fact that the creeds are only enforceable irp, not oocly). Just make it that cursed children are silly looking guys and send them on their way imo
